The first day after Labor day is posted and the hours are 10-8 in both parks. We will be there Oct 1st- 6th. Do you think that will be the hours for that time frame as well? Its so hard to plan when they only put the schedule out 6 weeks in advance. I am supposed to make our dining reservations next week and I don't even know what's going on in the parks. And I am getting so excited I want all this to hurry up:)

I feel ya! It's so frustrating! Whay can't they be more like WDW, with their schedules out many months in advance?? :confused3 sigh. Oh well, I guess we'll find out! :)

10-8 wow not sure why i thought it was 8am opening but ok i can work around the 10am opening if it is like that in oct.

if they close early then what about fantasmic on sun night (and what about woc if it closes at 8 then is woc shown at 8?)

That is what happened last year during Halloween time. The park closed at 8, but WOC was shown at 8 p.m., so you could stay and watch. But the attractions were closed. Not sure if that will be the case this year, as they could have extended hours due to more people visiting the park.

DLR had much longer hours last fall, I want to say from at least 9 a.m. to usually around 10 p.m., though on Saturdays it stayed open until midnight. Again, not sure what the case will be this year, because everything has changed with the DCA renovations.

In a way, the shortened hours are kind of nice! They force you to go back to the hotel and get some sleep, and you don't have to wake up before dawn to make rope drop. And the lines are so much shorter, you can actually get more done in a day than you can with longer hours during high season!

Jade - Fantasmic is only shown during the weekend off season (with the exception of some Thursdays in October). The hours are longer on Saturday and Sunday to accommodate this.
PP's have addressed WOC.
