I only own one pair of jeans, which I'll wear on travel day. That way they're with me and I can always wash them and wear on the way home to save space in the suitcase for more t-shirts bought on site!
I am definately an overpacker trying to learn my lesson, but one pair of jeans or long pants should most likely be included ... there are times I've gone places (not just WDW) and glad I had one set of warm clothes.
Yes, capris for my DD and I and jeans for DH and DS. Last year when we went in the fall, we did not need them. I am still going to bring them this year.
I personally think Khaki pants are the best. They fit in with more activities, and work just as great as jeans for warmth. I'd wear them on the plane and bring a light sweater which you can tie around your shoulders or waist if it's not needed.
Have a great time!!
I'm from the UK. I'm used to it being freezing, and yes, I'm bringing jeans!
I wore jeans probably 5 times on our last trip (ever time was at night) but it was fairly cold after the tropical storm hit. I admit for a couple of those days I felt a little sticky but nothing too bad and generally I was comfortable!
I don't see the harm in packing one pair even for in case of emergencies!
The only jeans that I bring will be on me for the flight down and back. It would have to be in the 50's for me to wear them in WDW and I'm confident that is not going to happen.
We are departing from Chicago at an ungodly hour (leaving the house at like 4a.m.) so it will be chilly so we are wearing jeans on the plane and then changing into shorts in FL.
Then on the way home we will wear shorts to our Chef Mickey Breakfast and then change into jeans for the plane ride home.
But we will then have those jeans for during our stay in case it does decide to get chilly.
Also bringing sweatshirts (one each) just in case we get chilled on the plane.
We are going to be there in mid October.
We are all bringing jeans and several pairs! I personally don't feel comfortable abiout exposing my legs in public.
If it's really hot and humid, like in the 90's, I will break out the shorts. Otherwise, I consider it sparing the world from having to be exposed to the site of my stumpy, milky white thighs.
I think I am going to wear them on the plane, just so I have a pair. I'd rather be safe than sorry. I know when we went in September 2004 we didn't need them, but heck, I like to be prepared.
I'm bringing my zip-off pants i got at Gander Mountain (hunting/camping type store)... they go from sweats to capri-length to shorts. I'll wear them as sweats on the plane and zip off to appropriate lenght depending on the weather. I LOVE them! I bought them specifically for travel.
ok, I'm the crazy one here. I don't ever wear shorts so I wear jeans the whole time we are there in September. wore them last year and will wear them again this year. yes, it's humid, but i didn't die.
No way. I would never wear jeans near a water ride(or a park with them), but then again I'm never cold.
It's funny this reminds me I once saw a guy at a park go on one of those huge flume splash rides. He was a wearing a 3 piece suite, and he got drenched. Then he stood on the bridge part, and he got it again. All the while he never changed the disgusted expression on his face. LOL
