Sept 9th 2010 - Wonder 3 Night Cruise

Anybody gonna rebook for the Dream? I would love too, but will probably have to wait. :sad1:

Probably a 4 day in March. The first cruise is way to expensive, February is high for that time of the year - plus they need some time to get everything running smoothly.

Well, I'm as packed as I'm going to be. Just have to remember my comb/brush tomorrow morning. Heading to the airport at 7:30 EST. Flight is at 10:20. Hope to see you all on Thursday!

It was great to meet everyone.
We got home this afternoon and already itching for another cruise. 3 days was just not long enough. We hope everyone had a great time. Rose

Well Rose beat me to the punch. It was a pleasure to meet everyone on board, and we look forward to seeing many of you in the future on other DCL and WDW vacations.

Just a curiosity question, did everyone like their FE gifts? Since it was something that i could never find anyone having done before I would love some feed back for future cruises. Especially in regards to the children's gifts please.

I, too, had a great time. Saw the "hardhat brigade" and thought the hats were fantastic! Didn't introduce myself though...should have. Did see your Dad (?) sing at karaoke. He did a great job!

why didn't you say hi? That is Jim. He is idrivealumina"s father. Rose and I were just "adopted" by Jim and Vicki

I'm sure I am in the minority but we didn't like DCL. We won't be back. I know it is family oriented but the boat was overrun by kids. We figured the ship wouldn't have as many kids because school was back in session. The only reason we were on the boat is because DS had off Thursday and Friday. The food was not plentiful and wasn't paletable. Our server was very inattentive and totally forgot about my food allergies. I'm already looking into a Princess Cruise for next year as a do over.

Well, we got back tonight from WDW. This whole trip was wayyyy too short. The cruise was great and my mom was so surprised by my sister and family showing up. Thanks to all for giving us FE gifts even though we didn't join the exchange this time- it was so nice!!! My DD especially loved all of the gifts.

We were disappointed with the service but we cruised the exact same week last year, and it was wonderful. The difference being the 7 day vs the 3 day.

So that was our first and last short cruise.

We returned from WDW late Wednesday and I just wanted to thank you for the fish extender gift with the first aid kit in it. My DH wanted to know how you got the DCL gift bag. Nice touch! We were very touched that we were included even though I didn't have time to get things ready myself.

Our cruise was wonderful and service was great!! DD, 10 loved the oceaneer's club and lab. She did karaoke and was fearless. We booked another cruise while on board for the Dream next year. Our waitstaff had been on board since the ship sailed, 11 years.

I appreciate all the tips from everyone. we also saw the hard hat brigade during the Adventures away party but we were up on deck 10 and couldn't get close enough to say "hi".

Thanks again from cabin 2564!

We did the first aid kit... we did a House Party for DCL and had a few gift bags left over. Since the cruise kit was a bit big, I brought a few bags in case folks didn't have room in their FE. I'm glad you liked it.

We were very lucky and had the same servers for all three cruises. Marlon and James were absolutely fantastic!! For folks who had less than optimal servers or food, please let DCL know.

The short cruises really are too short! Plus alot of first time cruisers are trying to do everything, which can really tire you out (and make for cranky cruisers).

Hope everybody had a good time.... and hope we can sail with you all again (just on a longer sailing!!).

Ginny

ps--- if you missed "Match your Mate" ... it was very funny on this cruise!!!:lmao:

You know, I MUST AGREE, every other DCL cruise I have ever been on has been TOP rated. This cruise was definitely different - I really hate to say it but it wasn't the typical 'magical' cruise I have come to expect from Disney

No more short cruises for us either!! I love relaxing more on the cruise and we definitely didn't do that this time. It was still fun- but not long enough!!

Hi Group! I wasn't able to participate in activities (including the fish extender) as I was on the ship for business. But I loved the Mickey's outfit parts that I saw on quite a few doors. Does anyone have a copy of it they would be willing to share? I would love to make one to have on hand! It was a GREAT idea!!!

Thanks so much!!! And I agree...a 3 day cruise is WAY too short!
