Sept 9th 2010 - Wonder 3 Night Cruise

14 days at sea... I hope I make it through 4!

The ship is large enough it does not rock much at all. But if you think you might get sea sick, pick up the motion sickness patch or some bonine ahead of time. When you get underway then see how you body reacts to the motion and come off the pill or patch and you will be just fine.

2 more weeks. I'm not sure how much longer I can keep this a secret from DS. Last night I was trying to get DH agree to let us stay at WDW for 2 more nights so we could catch the Halloween party. I would only cost us about $120 more for 2 nights at a value (yuck) since we have AP's. I also promised to never ever ask for anything again. No luck.

After talking with WDWEnabler (Mike) he mentioned that the schedule when getting on board is pretty tight with different activities, drills and places to show up for a chance to win free stuff. I think we were going to lose a couple of folks to the free giveaways.

Than being said, who would like to move our cruise meet to the terminal before embarkation. We deduced that you are just going to be standing around anyhow. Why not hook up during time that will be mostly unused? I know the characters are available during that time, but that line moves pretty fast it seems.

Let me know what time you plan on getting to the terminal on the 9th. We thought a good time to get together would be like 11:30 so we can put some faces with the names.

Does this work for the majority of folks here?

We plan on being at the terminal when it opens. Actually we will probably be sitting in the parking lot waiting for it to open. DH refuses to leave the house in the middle of the night so we will probably get there around 6am.

We've gotten there early, but never 6:30am early.

Truthfully, it's hot and there isn't anything to do....at least until other folks show up. Then you can make new friends and be hot together.

We've never done a B2B before... it will be fun to cheer for all the folks boarding!!

The last of the FE gifts is offically done. Finishing the last of the 5 shirts for this trip (costume changes are a must for us) now all that is left to do is pack. yuk

I hear you. Even as a solo traveler, I'm overwhelmed by the idea of packing for this cruise. I've decided on only one outfit so far, and (naturally) it still needs to be laundered. Guess I can't put that off much longer!

Kinda bummed right now. Not even looking forward to the cruise. (don't tell my DH if you see him- tall, short hair, goatee, he'll be the one looking miserable because he had to do a disney cruise) School started 4 days ago and DS is already having some trouble. He's the youngest in his class. He just made the cut off. He's in 3rd grade this year. We are already looking into him a tutor and having him evaluated to find out the areas where he is lacking. I could really need some pixie dust blown up my butt today.

I'm sorry to hear that your bummed and you don't think your hubby is excited to do a Disney Cruise. I hope that you're able to temporarily put your troubles aside and have a WONDERful cruise...and that it's totally contagious and your hubby catches it.

i think we have all been watching the tropics lately and looks better today. All the storms should be gone by the end of this week from the Florida area. Yippee.

I was on the Wonder in 2004, and then switched to Royal Caribbean (gasp!) because it's just so much cheaper.

Really looking forward to getting away for a few days by myself (well, sorta)!

Packing is not a concern for me. I packed for 4 days in Vegas in a carry-on. Two skorts, couple pairs of shorts, couple tops and t's, undies, sleep stuff and a big bottle of Febreeze! LOL

If only..... I don't mind wearing the same thing a few times...but we're on the ship until the 16th... at some point we're either doing laundry or getting creative with underwear.

I can pack for a week in a carryon. Our family motto is "if it can't fit in a carryon then you don't need it".
