I've updated the images for you, including the US/Canada Flag Mickey Head without the white square. You can use them anyway you want to you certainly do not have to send them to Vista.

Sorry you didn't join us for the champagne girls on the Panama Canal cruise, we did have a lot of fun. *I had DCL do a private tasting. *We also had a few party games we played, with small gifts for everyone. Then we went to the lobby for pictures and Daisy Duck joined us, so I guess she is a CG now too.

Val,
I can't thank you enough for all your help! The graphics, the link to Flickr and tips are great! I hope you don't mind some more questions from a pro like you ;)

Do you have all your items printed at Vista or have you used magnetic sheets before too? I ask because I've done neither. I'm not sure how long it takes to order and receive items as I have 40 days until I leave for the 1st cruise on the 2nd whereas ya'll have 45 days for this one and those on the "Grande Finale" as the 9/12 is calling ourselves have 50 days. I really have to pick up the pace! :hyper:

Both maps look great! And thanks to JillJill I was able to thank JKPMAC for the creation of the brown one on the Canada magnet thread. :)

I tried to jump on the band wagon during the 2011 PC but some people I met on a 2009 cruise who were there too said that everything was paid for in advance. But now I know for future cruises :)

 love that photo, all that pink and Daisy! I used to be the Event Director for Making Strides Against Breast Cancer in Maryland for the American Cancer Society until I fell in a pothole in their parking lot and haven't been able to work since 2008 with 11 surgeries later including the 2 I just had on 7/13 & 7/20, but I digress. I bring it up because at an annual conference prior to leaving I was dubbed the Strides Queen from the "pink" contest we had where I had the most pink, boas, tiara, etc. on to show my "pink" spirit so I know I would have fit right in with ya'll! :cutie:

Speaking of photos how did you embed that photo in the post? And how can I put your lovely updated map in my signature?

:thanks: again for everything!!!

I just want to say I'm recovering from my 2nd surgery I had in 8 days and now I'm focused on healing and cruising September 2-17, woohoo :)

P.S. how can you delete a duplicate post?

Here's to a speedy recovery!!!:wizard:

That is too cool! I will have to remember that for next year when it will be our 12th Anniversary. Do you all know each other from previous cruises since you run Champagne Girls, Ella or did you recruit newbies from this thread? :goodvibes

We met Ella (Deb) and her DH on the WB 2008 PC cruise. It was the best cruise we have had so far. The people we met are awesome and still keep in touch.

Hi, we are new to this thread. We just booked this cruise last night with the deal on the website. My DM ( Disney mom) and I are repeat cruisers and we are very excited! Has anyone heard about the best excursions for this cruise? Also we saw some where a mention of a really good BBQ place in Halifax, does anyone know the name of it? Thank you!

Welcome Aboard!!

Does anyone have any advice about booking another cruise while onboard? I saw that it is a 10% discount, but seems that I have done better $$$ wise on my own by waiting and shopping for the best deal. If you book and DCL comes out with a special, will they adjust the fare? :fish::fish:
Most of the DCL specials can't be combined with the on board re-booking offer, you have to choose which one is the best for you.

From one newbie to another, Welcome!

Don't know about the best excursion, we are going on the Peggy Cove/Titanic, and staying onboard in St. John. Some tips I have learned from others that have been very helpful in planning:
  1. On the red ribbon, click on "Staterooms" and scroll down to Navigators. The link will take you to a the Navigators from the June NY to Canada cruise, plus shopping guides for Halifax and St. John.
  • Fish Extender (FE): If you want to participate in the FE group, here is the link to sign up: http://goo.gl/8wj6H
  • There are also a couple of meets being planned, a Facebook page, and terrific folks who are so helpful in sharing their wealth of knowledge.

Hope this is helpful, can't believe how much I have learned in such a short time. :cheer2:

So, each of the 3 DIS/FB threads mention a lot of mother/daughters companions. I want to keep a list and maybe plan a Lumierre's luncheon on a Sea Day on each cruise. princess:

I may also be able to make it a Brunch at Palo instead. On one of the cruises I read on FB that 'Nikkie' booked a group of no more than 14 in a special Palo room with great views. But she said we need to act fast (as in I will need names, conf #, and stateroom #s). So please let me know ASAP. If the M/D list gets to be more than 14 we could always stick to Lumierre's. :grouphug:

Sound like fun? Just let me know soon please :goodvibes

It is amazing meeting new people each cruise and keeping them as friends. Though I love WDW, there is just something so special about cruising that you don't get in the parks

Was not able to get reservation at Palo for brunch, so would love having our M/D luncheon there. We are a definite yes, just let me know the when/time. Thank you for doing this!

Great! And, are you Margaret Sampson from the FB thread? Just trying to put faces with names and DIS names with actual names, lol :goodvibes

My other BFF Caryn and her husband Steve are joining us for the FE! I just added them to the list. :cheer2:This is their first cruise ever and they are driving from Sacramento to NYC! Happy Thursday everyone! Sue

Thank you for the welcome and the great places to look for advice. We would be very interested in mom and daughter lunch at either place. We joined the fe list. We have done them on other cruises and loved the fun!

yup, that's me!:wave2:

Great, glad to make the connection ;) By the way as I'm mentioning to genequeen below I will need your state room in addition to your name Margaret Sampson and your mom's. If I get 12-14 18+ M/Ds then I can request Palo then with reservation #s added to your name/room info. Thanks :goodvibes

Genequeen, glad you would like to do the M/D luncheon.

Are you on the FB Group page yet? If so what is your name so that I can recognize you there too. That is where I will probably post the Event details as well as in here... http://www.facebook.com/groups/263685943745650/

Speaking of names, if I can get Palo I will need your full name and mom's, state room and reservation number. So, for now your names and room number will suffice :goodvibes

And, yes FE is so much fun. I bought more supplies tonight and can't wait to make more over the weekend :)

:thanks:

I also should have mentioned that if we do the M/D Luncheon in Palo it counts as your Brunch for the cruise. And, all parties must be 18+ years old. So, if we have any younger daughters we do not have to do it in Palo and can stick to Lumierre's. My thought is that Brunch is sold out and this would give those of wanting to do Brunch an opportunity to do so. However, this idea first started as a M/D Luncheon so I don't want to exclude anyone. :goodvibes

With that said... here are the 8 18+ attendees so far...

Myself, Christa Gill and Catherine Slinger = 7024
Margaret Sampson and Mom = ?
Marlo Del Torro and MIL = ?
Genequeen and Mom = ?

The minute I get 2 more couples of +18 M/D with the required info I can fax it to DCL to request the Palo "Banquet" Room that holds only 12-14 (I'm not sure what it's called, lol). Please let me know asap.

:wave2: Please note: Mom's with daughters younger than 18 please do not hesitate to let me know that you are interested and would rather do the Lumierre's Luncheon and I will switch it over as most people are happy either way :flower3:

:thanks:
