Sept. 7, 2012 - Magic NYC - Canada

We are in Williamsburg so right now we are deciding between plane or train. Only concern with train is the luggage issue. DH already told me to remember it is a 5 day cruise and not a 10 day so I really don't need as much stuff!:rotfl2:

We have and will take the Amtrak train out of BWI into Penn Station. A wonderful ride. We took lugguage, one suitcase each and was no problem. Taxi's lined up at Penn station to take you where ever you want to go. I priced Amtrak for this September (as we are sailing Sept. 7, 2012) to get a feel for the price. Fare was $45/pp one way!! Can't beat that! I say check out Amtrak.

Hey, my wife and I did one carry on each for our five days at Disneyworld recently :lmao:

How can you find AMtrak that cheap out of BWI? We're in DE and from Wilm. it's usually $65-$80/person each way.

I put in dates for this year that would closely coincide with our dates next year and those are the prices that came up. If you book for two people the price is a little cheaper. Also I took 10% of for a AAA member. The rates were the same price practically the whole week!

I guess you're lucky. We're probably on the cusp of daily commutes and figure they can ding us for more money than just a bit further south.

Ahhh...the other half of carry-on luggage fame. :rotfl2: :lmao: :rotfl:
Welcome :flower3:

I was very proud of her, being able to stay confined to a 22-inch suitcase for five days.

Now if it was our 23-year old daughter, with all her hair products, forget about it! :lmao:

Congrats on this being #7 it will be #10 for DH and me which means after this cruise we will be Platimum!!:cheer2:

Hope you have another cruise planned to enjoy your Platinum status. It's nice to get the free Palo meal.
DD & I were Platinum last June and DH became Platinum after our April cruise.

Hi everybody!

My DH and I will also be on this cruise, having just booked it onboard the Magic during our Mediterreanean cruise. We are in our thirties, from Germany, no kids, and will be doing this cruise as a back-to-back with the one before it.

Looking forward to getting to know you all! :yay:

Welcome! We're looking forward to cruising from our "home" port. And we've never been to that part of Canada, so this will be a real treat! Look forward to meeting you.

DH & I just booked this cruise to celebrate our 27th wedding anniversary. It will be our 12th Disney cruise. I'm really looking forward to reading all of your advice for New York and the surrounding area. I've only spent time there changing planes at JFK, and that's enough said.

This cruise should be a blast!
