Sept. 7, 2012 - Magic NYC - Canada

Hi! My name is Tegan. My husband, daughter (8) and I will be on this cruise! Though we are Disneyland fanatics it is our first time branching out ! We are so excited!!:cheer2: (I am new to DIS boards as well!)

*** I filled in my information for the FE but I know I am past the cut off...Am I to late for this round? I've never heard of this before and now I am so excited!!

Hey Tegan! As some people had mentioned, the board wanted a "cutoff" date of August 1st to prepare FE gifts. As others have mentioned, the form is still live to take participants up until the beginning of the cruise. I normally make a few extras (like others) so we can include everyone in the fun!

Welcome Aboard! :beach:

I am on a roll with most of my FE plans, but am at a loss as to the babies. Any suggestions regarding what others have done would be a big help. Looked at several things both online and in the stores, but became concerned about safety, etc. All help is appreciated :scratchin

I updated and reformatted the file last night for myself. Color coded the children's cells either blue or pink to make it easier to reference, and combined some columns to fit across the page without shrinking the font size. It is setup to print in landscape, and the header row will repeat on the 2nd page. There are 49 adults and 13 children. I am happy to share with all, but don't know how to send to Eric. I know that there was a concern about too many files floating on the board and folks not having the most up-to-date or accurate version. :scratchin pixiedust:

Hi Maggie,
Can you please post the link to the updated sheet? I keep linking back to the old one with 45 adults somehow.
Thanks!
Amy

Was someone on this thread asking for th sizes of the kids for the FE, or did I dream that?:confused3

Hi Everyone - I am glad to say that I will be joining you on this cruise. I booked this cruise for my husband and me last summer while on the June 29th Med cruise. First, my husband backed out. Then my mother said she would go and she backed out too. :confused3 I am happy to say that my friend, Lori, and I (Suzanne) will be going. This sounds like a really fun group. I look forward to cruising with you!

Wow thanks everybody! It is no problem if people don't have extra- I think I am most looking forward to letting Amelie go leave gifts- this sounds pretty exciting! We are the "Noel" family and being such, are a little...shall we say... crazy about Christmas and this sounds awfully close!:yay:

We are new to DCL so any tips are appreciated of course and I'd love to see your color coded spreadsheet MaggieSam

:rockband:dancing at my house - my FE gifts are all done - now I just have to figure out how to pack them and get them to the ship in one piece.

My husband and I will be on this our 1st Disney Cruise! :cheer2:
Just booked the end of July and got the porthole restricted rate. No kids - one working and other starts back to college on Aug 27th.
Any idea when we get our room assignments? And when we will get our docs? Have gone on cruises before and even printed out the docs needed but I understand they will be mailed to us? Do they also come with luggage tags like when you fly to Disney World? We will be coming from Staten Island - a much shorter distance than driving/flying to Disney World or Disney Land!
Thanks for all the help you give!

Yes, that was me! Only had one reply so far...:)

Hi Maggie! I work nights, sometimes things get a little hazy....
I am pretty sure I was the one who gave you the sizes for my kids, but I have some of the sizes for Connie's kids too.
Tommy size 10
Daniella size 4
Christopher size 18 months.
She told me Colin's size, but I forgot. Will supply ASAP.
I went shopping last week, got some cool stuff, ordered some cool stuff too. I LOVE giving presents! I look forward to making them when the kids get a little older as I hopefully continue to cruise DCL....

You can print your doc on line in fact that is what DCL encourges you to do after you do your on-line check in. The ones in the mail include the luggage tags but if they don't come before the cruise you can get them from a porter at the port. Some folks have indicated in the past that they have gotten their room assignment as late as at the port but many more is at least a week. Your mailed docs may come without out your cabin # however you can check for it one line. Sue

Welcome to all the new Cruisers!:wave2:

31 more days until we set sail. :cheer2:

I was wondering if you wouldn't mind editing some things in this post on the 1st page that have been changed over the past month so that any newcomers aren't confused, please?

Booked this cruise today with friends of our's.

For those of you not on the FB group, we're starting to form a embarkation day meet from 3:00pm to 3:45pm in the Promenade Lounge. We also had the idea of wearing green leis in the terminal and at the meet as a way of identifying each other as part of this group.

Meeting in Diversions at 3PM on our first sea day. We're doing a NON champagne girls meeting. Nothing organized, just show up and order a drink of whatever you want.....just wear pink. Boas and tiaras are optional. Anyone who wants to join in is welcome - this includes men.

The FE signup ended August 1st and those signing up afterward may not have everyone participating with them as some people order a set # of supplies for the 1st list. Some people have extras which I'm sure will love to give to any latecomers.

The DISMeet is starting earlier at 2:30pm - 3:45pm for those who want to attend earlier and then go to win a spa prize from 3pm - 3:20pm and possibly have time to come back, and some won't be there until 3:00pm due to a tour ending at 3:00pm. Either way it allows for more time and flexibility to accommodate all the DISers.

I also read by Ella that the Pink meet also is starting at 2:30pm.

thanks! :goodvibes

Nope, that's at 3pm. I remember messages where I'm mentioned :-D

I'm so sorry for the confusion. I thought I originally said 2:00pm and then someone asked to push it back a little because they were going to Palo brunch. So I made it 2:30pm. I didn't even look on the first page to see that it said 3pm. I'm going to keep it at 2:30pm and even if people show up at 3pm, we'll still be there. So it's all good.

NOTE***** I went back and looked up the first discussion of having our PINK drinks in Diversions. I originally said 2pm but LWQuestie is doing brunch that morning. She requested that we push it back to 3pm. SO it is indeed correct on our first page and I stand corrected. I'll probably be there at 2:30pm anyway.....hahaha.

It clearly says she's keeping at 2:30pm...

And even though she corrects herself in the note she said she is still going to be there at 2:30pm. So, it's better to say it's starting at 2:30pm for those who can come at 2:30pm and for those who can't come until 3:00pm it will still be going on then too :)

My cruise docs arrived today!
But still waiting for hubby's.pirate:
Question: Did I see some where that you could wear jeans to dinner:confused3? I know there is a semi-dress up the second nite but jeans for dinner? And Pirate nite - do we bring costumes/props for the dinner and party? How does that work?
Thanks!
