Gary - thanks for the update. Can't wait to hear all the details of thier trip!

Of course DVC'ers have more fun because we "get it". If we didn't we would be like any other vacationer at WDW.
I'm glad they had a great time!

I totally agree with you Stacy. Actually, Cindy and I were discussing that yesterday at WDW. So many people just don't get it!! I see parents dragging kids all over kicking & screaming. We just to with the flow and see what happens.

That's because we know that we'll be visiting again and again and again! :flower:

I will definitely be there this weekend - Todd'd birthday is on Friday.
I check in BCV on the 14th. I check in SSR on the 16th.

Amy, I think we are copying each other.

We are planning on Sat at the Epcot showcase too! and then We're going to be at Mickey's party on the 16th too!!

Well, then maybe this time we can connect up at WDW.

Ah, all you people and these nice long trips to WDW! I would take any length of trip there, but I'm longing for the time when we can go for 2 weeks or longer!

Then there's those (Amy & Cheryl) who can stop by for the weekend! That's got to be so cool!

This weekend my sisters were over and one of them actually said to me "Sorry, I just don't get the whole Disney thing". So I told her that's because not only did I get the looks in the family, but I got the brains too! :rotfl: That's ok, I don't have to worry about her begging to use my points!

Morning all! :sunny: :sunny: :sunny:

I need those extra sunny smiles today. It's going to be a long day! We got home about 10:15 last night. Cameron & I were in bed by 10:20. My feet have never taken such a beating before. I think without Walker & Gary, Cameron & I did a lot more walking and walking. I even noticed this AM that I have that rash I've read about on my ankles right about my socks. Gee, what's that all about? :confused3

Cameron & I had fun. A few bumps along the way but nothing that ruined our trip by any means ---- how could it, we were at Walt Disney World! :cheer2:

I love Soarin!!!! What an awesome ride. Everytime we went on it, I noticed something different. Cameron was right, the front row is the best as you didn't see anyones danging feet from the other rows. They were more than willing to accommodate our request for the front row every time we asked!

We spent a wonderful day with Amy, Chris, Emily & Madison. What sweet girls Emily & Madison are. Not once did they complain, cry or whine. What a pleasure they are --- and oh, so cute. In another 5 years or so, I'm going to worry about Emily's infatuation of Cameron. I'm sure Chris will too. ;)

Gail, Spirit Airlines now has express checkin at the Orlando Airport. All you have to do is insert a credit card at the podium and it reads the magnetic information off the back. There are a series of 5 questions you answer, and then they print your luggage tags and boarding passes and you on your way. Very cool. :cool1:

I'll post more highlights as I think about them and probably a couple pictures too. Off to catch up!

Glad to see that you made it home safe & sound, Cindy!! I'm off to bring Emily to school, talk to everyone later!!

Sounds like you had a great time Cindy!

Gail - your day will come. You won't believe how much fun it is to get in the car and just go - sometimes for weeks at a time!!! Esp if that trip has a side trip to WDW or DL! :moped:

Welcome Home Cindy! Glad to hear you and Cameron had a good time. I told Deanna about you two going on this trip for Cameron's birthday - I could see the wheels turning in her head trying to figure out a way for us to do that for her Birthday.

We really liked Soarin too! What a cool ride. Your're right each time there's always something new to see! Definitely added to our list of "must do" rides!

Mary - you amaze me with your get up and go trips. Always on the road :moped: Last year's California trip was mind boggling - I can't believe you drove that distance by yourself! I was a nervous wreck when my son and his friend drove to California by themselves - they did say it was a very nice drive.

WELCOME HOME CINDY! :flower:

Glad to hear the trip was WONDERFUL! :Pinkbounc

Safe travels to everyone else who is planning a trip to the world of the mouse!!! :cheer2:

Welcome back, Cindy and Cameron! Glad you had a good time!!

Did you see the two hidden Mickey's during Soarin'??

Where are the hidden Mickeys on Soarin'?? Where? Where? We've only been on it once, during the passholder preview, because we have to do the baby swap thing. Emily's got about an inch and a half to grow before she reaches the 40" mark that most of the bigger rides require.

Thursday check-in at BCV, an aquatic romp at Storm-Along-Bay followed up with a sumptuous double cheese burger at Beaches and Creme. Then off to MGM for a dose of Tower of Terror. Next stop - Magic Kingdom were Pecos Bill's offered up another double cheese burger. Then to settle the stomachs, a rip or two on Splash Mountain as well as Big Thunder Mountain. The evening was capped off with MK's Halloween Party.

Splash mountain it was! Then off to BTMRR.

It rained on Thursday so the crowds at MNSSHP was very light. We rode Splash Mountain non-stop, followed by non-stop rides on BTMRR.

I had never ridden SM before. It was awesome --- except for us having to stop because no one else was riding. The logs kept getting backed up so occassionally they would have to stop for the traffic jam. Could not ask for a better experience.

I've also never been on BTMRR at night. What a different experience. Cameron & I rode again Sunday morning behind a Dad with 2 kids (maybe 7 & 5). The Dad was in a panic during the entire ride as it was more than he was expecting. We still laugh about how he was so terrified by the ride. :teeth: When we stopped, I leaned over and told the kids that I thought their Dad wanted to ride again. :rotfl:

Double cheese burger and then Tower of Terror?

Is there a puking smiley? :crazy2:  :scared: :crazy2: :faint:

It really wasn't that bad. ToT had problems. Before getting in line, we grabbed 2 fastpass tickets so we could ride twice. After standing in line in the standby line long enough to hit our fastpass time, we jumped over to the other line and finally rode.

This time no one with long hair sat in front of me so I got the full effect of the ride. :scared1: :scared1: Once was definately enough that day!

By the way, Cameron & I thought we were going to be really smart and get 4 fastpass tickets using Walker & Gary's AP's. No go! :confused3 The machine was smart enough to know they didn't enter the park that day. :confused3 I guess Disney is smarter than I thought. ;)

Cindy, it sounds like you guys had a great time! How did Walker do with Gary all weekend? I bet he was super happy to have you guys back home!

Friday morning brings Cindy and Cameron to EPCOT where they'll be Soar'in and maybe Fast-Track'in if it gets fixed. Cindy says it's raining, but they're still hav'in fun. But more importantly, they'll be sampl'in the fare at the Wine and Food Festival.

Cameron absolutely loved the Food & Wine Festival. We stopped at just about every booth along the way. :earseek:

My picky eater sure didn't seem to be bothered by some of the different offerings. I think about the only items he didn't care for were Chili & the salmon at Canada (he had the "Canadian Combo" there -- they waiting a coupel hours for Cameron to be the first to order it that day -- fudge, salmon & cheese soup!).

Those $2.50-$4.00 per item add up rather quickly. There is no way I could afford to take Cameron & Gary at the same time without really planning for the cost. They would love to sample everything! Cameron & I alone spent a chunk. Add a family of 4 and it gets a bit pricey when all added up.
