SCRAPBOOK EXCHANGE.....

On the PC cruise, we did an informal scrapbook exchange after the scrapbook class. The question was asked of me, so I am posting to see if there is interest. There is no obligation to participate. Here is how it worked on the PC cruise.

Each person that wanted to participate purchased no more than $20 worth of scrapbook "stuff" from their part of the country. It didn't have to be Disney stuff, but there was Disney stuff exchanged. Then you put your "stuff" in a bag and brought it to the class and then at the end of the class your name went in a hat and then as your name was drawn you went and picked out another bag of "stuff" that someone else had bought.

About 30 of us participated and we all had a bunch of great new stuff to bring home.

So......................anyone want to participate in this at the end of the class?

Linda

ME!!! ME!!!

I'd like to participate. Please put me and my sil down.

Thanks!

Lisa

Diana, we only had two updates before the last cruise so they are doing much better there. We did have one about two weeks before we sailed which listed the entertainment. Maybe we will get one more before we sail. Either way we know we are in for lots of fun. Face it with this group we could have fun even if Disney didn't plan anything for us!

You are right Mary, in both ways! We have gotten alot more info on this cruise then we did on the last, and they are already doing more for us--the bon voyage party, the scavenger hunt.

And definitely....we could provide our own entertainment with this group!

Today's fluffy question of the day.......

What is your favorite on ship activity (show, spa, pool, etc.)?

Thanks again to Noreen (Nezy) for the idea. :daisy:

People watching!

So I went home in the pouring rain to find.....nothing. No docs yet. Of course with the rain UPS could be delayed. So maybe, just maybe they'll be there when we get home. Mark usually gets home first so I hope he'll call if they show up. If not today I hope they show before we leave town tomorrow!

Oooh...this sound like a really fun thing to do!! I'll play!

So...

I'm sitting up here in my office, diligently working away...

suddenly, I hear a noise in front of the house...

Could it be???

YES!!! It's a delivery truck!!!

I maintain my composure...

"Don't get too excited", I say to myself...

I hear footsteps on the front porch...

The doorbell rings...

I bound down the stairs like a mad women, and answer the door...

And standing there....

In his cute little uniform........

Holding a nice little envelope........

Is the FedEx Man, holding dh's new contacts. :rotfl2:

I got a crushed look on my face, thanked him, closed the door, and sat dh's crummy contacts by his chair.

Lisa - so sad but so funny. Here's hoping the big brown truck comes with your docs today!

OK, I have a question for all of you that have added on points. What way do you do it? Do you use a re-seller or do you buy direct from Disney? I know there is most likely going to be some good deals on the cruise, but it sure would be nice to to hear from people with experience !! :goodvibes I cant believe that 2 weeks from now we will almost be to WDW!!

Mike

We've added on points with resale with no problems whatsoever. The value for the $ was great. We started with Disney, but they had no incentives at the time for us. The point value was high, and they had no availability in Boardwalk or OKW, which was where we wanted to purchase. We ended up buying at OKW (the point dues were less there).

We also spoke with a rep on the Member Cruise and inquired about an additional purchase. Our experience was not a + one. The rep was extremely HIGH pressure sell.

We were comfortable with our decision to go resale.

Good luck with your decision. :flower:

I would love to participate. :wave2:

Even though I rarely find time/make time to work on my scrapbooks, I have a stash of supplies just waiting to be used. And, I can always use more. :teeth: This is an excellent excuse (um, reason) to go to my local SB store. :cheer2:

Mary, I could have saved you a trip. Still nothing for us here today. :( I know Jenny out in Oswego got hers yesterday so there is still hope. Maybe they are just delayed?

The good news is it's still raining. We certainly need it. :umbrella:

Must have been arranged through DVC. They certainly want to make it easier for him to read those documents when they arrive. :teeth:

So, I just called DCL about what time the DCL bus is picking me up to take me to the port. 11:45!!! :earseek:  I'm NEVER going to get to the boat!!!

Mickey doesn't hold gruges--even if you are a little GRUMPY! ::MickeyMo
Well, The UPS truck drove past in both directions again today. The driver waved again today, BUT NO DOCS. If that guy keeps driving by and waving without stopping, he's going to make me really Grumpy. It's not nice to tease a hockey player, even if he is an old one.

RE:ADD ONS, we have only gone through Disney, just because of ease and convenience. I would not discount future add-ons thru resale.

NO DOCS YET!! But UPS usually comes later in the day. I do keep jumping up if I hear a truck go by :dog2: like a puppy waiting for its' master!!! :dog:

This guy :dancer: creeps me out! I think it's the smileface on the Men-In-Black body combo-just freaky for me!! ROFL
