Coloring time here still needs to be supervised......Emma enjoys eating the crayons WAY too much......and playdoh with my two just scares the heck out of me!!

I really should be working on my door decorating idea.....

Oh, I know what you mean. Playdoh is only for Emily and she still gets it all over the place. As for crayons, Madison still wants to eat them, so she gets a mini magnadoodle from Target.

It has been several days since I have been here. I can not believe all that has been posted in that time. Mary is the cause of me not looking in on this board. :) She sent me the Passporter, and since we got it I have bee reading o it every chance I get. It is jam packed with interesting information. That ships model looks neat. I think It might be on my must have list.

Mary's post prompted me to buy our own copy. Since we received it, I have to fight with my DH to read it. Every night, I find him "hiding" with the book reading to himself. One night, I snuggled up to him in bed and he read me a bedtime story about the excursions.

Unfortunately, I fell asleep. :upsidedow

Ugh! I want a little one who naps! Mine just came home from soccer camp, and is running on full power... so to calm him down, I'm taking him out for ice cream and to the pool. You know how sugar calms them down.... :scared1:

I thought about the 1/2 day soccer camp for dd, but opted for the full day. Leaves at 8:15 am and gets home about 5 pm. This week has been so quiet and I'm not talking just about the time she's at camp but when she gets home too. I think we finally found something that can actually wear her out. :cool1:

I wished someone would make me take a nap everyday!

Oh yeah, that multiplication book of Cameron's is coming out too. Funny thing is, he brought it home the last day of school with a note to return it on the first day of school. All of us parents know that the teacher will file it appropriately -- we're just not telling the kids where.

Tell Sam he's welcome. :rotfl:

Sam's reaction was somewhere between :scared: and  and he kinda sorta said thank you... okay, it was more like "Gee, THANKS..." :rotfl:

Tell him someday when he's an adult, he'll remember back on these days and think about how easy they really were. I know, not much of a consolation prize right now. ;)

It's a little too hot and humid here for full day soccer camp, so we do a half day. Sam was in a full day program a couple of years ago, and they actually kept the kids in an indoor air-conditioned gym for the afternoon part...

Yeah!!! I just won the pink "fish extender" oops, mail organizer. $3.99, can't beat that!!!

Not long ago, I had a state inspection. While my rep was here we always take a walk around the house. During this time, Walker (whose 5) and another little one I care for whose 4 were painting. The kids were sitting at the table going to town. I thought it was safe to walk through the house with my rep.

Bad move.

We came back into the kitchen and the two little boys had finger paint all the way up their arms and had started painting their faces. I was horrified. :scared1: I just wanted to die. I didn't know how to react. So, I just busting out laughing.

It's tense enough to have an inspection done, I certainly didn't need any extra stress. All I could do was laugh. Not that I would have been really angry otherwise but it was like all of the stress of that visit came out when I saw the little kids sitting there.

It's a good thing the other 3 didn't want to paint that day. :rotfl:

In my best teacher voice: "Children learn through tactile play. The different smells and textures help them develop their sensory perception and allows for creative expression. It also helps develop their small motor skills. By helping you make the materials, you are teaching your child both mathmatical and scientific skills, as well as problem solving and working with others. This is most important while they are in their toddler and preschool years and their neuropathways are still developing."

In my best mommy voice: "I'm right there with you sister!!"

Around here this time of year the weather is warm but not unbearable, so I thought the full day would be fun. You know a change from not having anything to do! This year we are having high temps and humidity so I guess this wasn't the year to pick the full day. The camp is held at the University and they have a pool there that they let them go in at lunch time. The coaches and trainers are good about keeping them hydrated.

So, at 6.99 for the BIN, I didn't pay all that much more.

And, avoided all the stress. ::yes::

Good for you on your win!

Diana, what color are you on the hunt for?

Okay, Diana, you now have at least 3 of your Dis friends on the lookout.

We just need to know which color we're looking for. :jumping1:

(GMTA -- don't they :teeth: )

For the right price, I could have a blue one for sale. j/k :rotfl2:
