One week from right now I will be sitting in a dining room onboard the Disney Wonder.

:woohoo:

Don't about the weather...last time we sailed with Disney our 7 night turned into a 10 night cruise...extra ports and days!!!

I'm not really worried about the weather and normally I'd love to turn my cruise into a longer one.

As long as we can actually make it onto the ship, I know that everything will be okay.

Of course we do have MNSSHP tickets for the evening that we get off the cruise.

I guess I'd even give those up for some extra onboard nights, if I had to.;)

We leave in less than 24 hours for Disneyworld !!! :cool1:  :cool1:  See you guys Sunday! Safe travels everyone!

FINALLY~ We got our docs today!:cool1:

Physically, leaving Friday:surfweb: .........Mentally, already gone:hippie: ....

Jesters,

I'm glad you finally received your docs. I know how you feel when they arrive. it makes the trip seem real.

I'm just doing last minute stuff. Got extra camera batteries and a charger, picked up Sharpies and pillowcases. Last thing to do is drive up to GA on Saturday am to pick up one grandson and to orlando for the other. I'm glad we're only an hour from Port Canaveral. I'm sure we'll have two squirmy boys on Sunday morning at Church before we head down to the pier!

For all of you that are leaving soon, travel safe. The weather in FL is fine. I just hope it stays that way!

4 days:banana: :woohoo:  :woohoo:

Each night I try to get something accomplished for the trip to help things go by farster. Last night I packed most of my things into a suitcase, made copies of birth certificates, cut out our magnets, called the credit card companies to let them know we'd be traveling and then...Duh Duh Duh...received a phone call from the person who WAS going to be watching our 22 month old while we are gone.

DW's mom (who was going to be watching our DD) has had heart problems in the past. The problem is that it has been known to jump out of rythm. Last time this happened, they had to shock it back into rythm. Her docotor is going to try some meds first, but still expects she may need to go into the hospital for a short period of time. In short, she will be fine, but will not be a ble to watch DD.

New plan. It's a good thing we cancelled our flights about a month ago and decided to drive. We intended to drive down to Panama City, where I have some family, on Saturday and then onto Port Canaveral on Sunday. The good news is that my mother and sister are more than happy to keep her in Panama City while we're cruising.

Crisis averted, and we'll see you all real soon.

Wow, I'm glad you were able to find someone to take your daughter for you.

Having that happen so close to the cruise date must have been very scary.

I have a lot of things to do before I can leave.

I've basically done no packing.

I have paperwork printed out and redy to go but that's about it.

I'm finding it hard to believe that the trip is here already.

Guess it's time to start thinking about getting some stuff done:thumbsup2

HoosierFrog, can't you just hide her in your suitcase? I'm kidding.

Here was my crisis today...

I am writting to you from my room at Port Orleans French Quarter.
At check-in I learned that our travel agent was wrong
(and stupid me for not double checking)
Our "package" starts on Thursday, so our park tickets will not be available tomorrow.
:scared1:

I am so angry I could spit!!!

These two pre days that were added to our land and sea are considered separate. We couldn't add dining because of them.
And now we have to buy one day tickets at $75 each to visit Animal Kingdom.

Why offer four day hopper passes with the 3 day land / 4 day sea if they expect you to consider the embarkation day one of your park days????
That just doesn't make any sense to me.

I hope to process all this frustration before I see you all on Sunday.
Just such a bad note to start off this trip.

safe travel everyone.

on the bright side: the weather is warm and not too sticky. no lovebugs so far.

We will be leaving on Saturday morning..................hope everyone has safe travels. Gotta get packing!

lisagirl- where are you from. There are 18 of us going. we work in a large hospital in Philly. My dh is upset he might miss the Eagles and Phillies games. See ya sunday:banana:

We had our cruise originally planned for August and had a late switch due to a conflict with DH's job so I apologize I have not been a part of your meet thread . . . however, I've lurked the past few weeks as our cruise gets closer and couldn't help notice we have several NorthEast cruisers onboard . . . we live in NJ but close to Trenton, only a few miles from Bucks County, PA. Originally from OH though so I apologize that DH is not an Eagles fan! ;) He'll probably watch the game though if he can find it playing anywhere onboard!

If you are looking for sporting events you might want to check out Diversions.

It is in the adult nightclub area and is the "sports bar" for the ship.

They often have games on there for you to watch.

They also have a snack buffet set up there a lot of the time with nachos, hot dogs and other munchies.
