Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

I've been waiting in line at port for a month now just so I am first in line for all the tequila tasting.

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2:

She told me that once Palo Brunch runs out, even if it is before the 75 day window they don't release any more:sad1::sad1:. She said in her very Disney voice, "you can always request to be added to the waiting list once you board" :eek::guilty::sad2:WWWAAAAAHHHHHHH I DON'T WANT TO BE ADDED to the stupid waiting list:mad: I want a reservation...and I want cooler weather... it was 106 here yesterday, 104 the day before and 107 today. I'm hot, :furious::furious: and now i'm brunchless.:sad: Ok, no more snivelling I promise. Just needed to vent.:hug:

I wouldn't give up. Try again, especially at the 75 day mark. I can't believe they are all gone...

Yes, I know what you mean. It is hot here too. However, this week is much better than the last two weeks! I don't ever remember it being that hot in June. Of course, now we are watching this stupid tropical wave/depression/storm in the Gulf (I'm on the central West FL coast). I swear, if it's not one thing, it's another.:sad2:

:lmao::rotfl::rotfl2::worship:

I have been trying for hours pirate: and I could not get thorugh on the website... I finally called DCL and waited for 11 minutes, talked to a web site customer service person :angel: and she was finally able to get into my reservation:dance3: then she quietly tells me the ONE AND ONLY, and I mean ONE AND ONLY reservation that I wanted P A L O B R U N C H was aaaaaaaaalllllllll filled up. She told me that once Palo Brunch runs out, even if it is before the 75 day window they don't release any moreShe said in her very Disney voice, "you can always request to be added to the waiting list once you board" WWWAAAAAHHHHHHH I DON'T WANT TO BE ADDED to the stupid waiting list:mad: I want a reservation...and I want cooler weather... it was 106 here yesterday, 104 the day before and 107 today. As others have said; I wouldn't give up. Keep trying, even if it's the smallest of maybes it's better than none.

Well, Hon, about the parasailing, we're locked and loaded for the jetskis and then the snorkling afterwards, so we're fully booked at Castaway Cay. However, since we'll be back on the Wonder in June, I'll be making a point to do the parasailing.

Ah right, forgot about the snorkling. Yeah that does make for a full program. Back in june again? You go girl! :banana:

And, about the High Tea, if you can find a way to add me, I would love to tag along (and, of course, I'll reimburse whoever books it for me for the cost). Maybe we can all just show up and say that we booked it but "lost" our confirmations?? :lmao:

In that case I think it would work better if we bought somebody off. ;) Maybe it can be done for us to change our ressie from 2 to 3 once we're onboard?

Doesn't that happen allllll the time with Disney?? I'm going to keep trying, and, honestly, it's not that big of a deal if it doesn't work out...it will be something to try for next time.
:thumbsup2

AND, I totally don't know what you're talking about with regard to Trip Reports....I'm all done with mine.... :rolleyes1

Yeah sure, and I am the Pope himself in a bikini. :rolleyes: You're done alright, after way to long. :lmao:;)

LOLOLOLOL - you guys don't want to see me jacked up on tequila - last time (about 4 years ago) that I did tequila shots, I ended up licking what I spilled off the floor - - not so good. :eek: :laughing:

You sure you don't do that with tea, right!? :rolleyes1

My DH may not go to high tea (I don't think it's his kind of thing:confused3). So if he doesn't go, someone here could always take his spot, couldn't they? I don't think DCL cares. I'll let everyone know if he doesn't want to go.

Ah, that's a sweet offer! Starting to sound like the guys will have time for a guys only activity. :rotfl: I boudt it DCL would care.

DH has been reading about atv tours on St Maartin and they sound awesome. It is not through DCL but we read on cruisecritic where other cruise lines offer similar excursions. It is $65 for a single rider and $55 each for double, kids under twelve are $33. It's 2.5 hours long. Is anyone else up for this?

I went to the website and it looks awesome. I talked to DH, DBIL and both of our girls. We all are going to do this tour. I emailed them and asked for the 9:30 tour. :thumbsup2 What about you guys?

I will pay for your tastings!!!

:thumbsup2 Actually, with as crazy as I was that night, DH would probably pay triple for them. There's just something about tequila that brings the wild side out in me. :dance3: My drink of choice now is Diet Coke and Bicardi Limon or, when I'm really wanting to treat myself, DH found out how to make the Grey Goose Slushies that they serve at Epcot which are to.die.for. And, I totally agree that we're on a serious less-than-90-day-high!! :rolleyes1

I know, Hon, I'm putting my DVC to great use and booking the 5-day 2 stops at Castaway Cay in June!! Woo-Hoo!

And, yes, I promise it's only the tequila...I have to believe that I'm not the only one with that reaction?? :rolleyes1

Clothing Optional Beach, Mirrored Sunglasses, Tequila
FatCat, you are too funny!:lmao::rotfl2:

Cool! We haven't booked anything yet, but we'll have to jump on it ourselves! We've been debating on whether or not to take the boys with us, never thought about the girls??? Hmm, something more to think about now. I need to check with my dsis to see if she wants to do it, and then we'll sign up! :thumbsup2 It will be awesome to share the fun with fellow disers! :cool1:

:rotfl:funny, Crystal! Never had the Grey Goose slushies at Epcot? :confused3What are they like??

I know, Hon, I'm putting my DVC to great use and booking the 5-day 2 stops at Castaway Cay in June!! Woo-Hoo!

Two days at Castaway Cay! Not much better than that other than back to back to back... :lmao: We have said more than once that we would be perfectly content if the ship just docked at CC the entire trip!

sftnslky, glad to hear you are in for the ATV Excursion! :thumbsup2

DW (Nutzaboutdisney) is going to talk to her sis and we will send an email to reserve for the same time. (I think it is 9am though not 9:30am)

Keep in mind though that the beach is a European style beach if you know what I mean. :rolleyes1

Here is some info in case anyone else is interested:

"ATV Tour in St Maarten for Cruise Ship Passengers

Your ATV Island Tour will start off with a safety orientation where you will be assigned an ATV and provided with a helmet. Then your ATV tour group will set off to discover the backroads of St. Maarten.

This is a fun ride, and your safety and security is always the first priority. The second is putting a big smile on your face. Please note that the minimum age to operate an ATV on this tour is 18 years of age and we recommend children be 7 years or older for this tour. We have double and single bikes available.

The ATV Island Tour will take in some of the prettiest views and back roads on the island, stopping off at various hillside locations for photos and sightseeing, with views of St. Barths, St. Kitts, and Nevis. With a great mixture of palm lined public roads, sand tracks, and off road dirt driving, your guides will take you through some great ATV biking adventure “across the border” to the French side.

St Maarten ATV Excursion to Orient Beach

Your destination will be a picturesque beach bar at beautiful Orient Beach. Food and beverages are not included but can be purchased at the Beach Club. After resting up at the beach, it’s back on the bikes for an exhilarating ride back to Philipsburg.

Good for you! :thumbsup2 One of these days. One of these days when I hit the jackpot..........

And, yes, I promise it's only the tequila...I have to believe that I'm not the only one with that reaction?? :rolleyes1

Maybe you are lonely with that reaction to tequila, but I'm sure everybody has something that would make them act like that. At least I know I do, so everybody has one. Period. Simple as that. :rolleyes1:scared:

I have been MIA....got my oldest daughter Katrina on the plane this morning for her 2 week trip to the Ukraine. Now maybe I can concentrate on the wedding and this cruise. Looks like I will be able to make the trip afterall. It was looking kinda bad there for a while. Now to get caught up with everything on here.....lots of planning was put on hold.

This sounds like fun. I am going to talk to the family tonight and see what they think. Is everyone trying for the 9am tour? Any idea on how many slots are in each tour? Maybe we can have a big DIS ride!

I have a water proof dig camera that is going on boat with me, not sure if I'm taking up or leaving with Jodi but I can get some nice shots of all of us.

I always take a waterproof disposable camera UP with me and I guess I am brave cause I always leave my good digital on the boat with family. Last May 2008, I was having a hard time getting pictures of my kids when they were in the air, so one of the guides took some really good pictures for me with my camera. He stood at the back of the boat where I was having to stay seated or risk falling overboard :rotfl:... the ride is rough at times depending on the waves but my digital has never gotten wet. The pictures taken from the air of the ship and island are beautiful.

I am in south Mississippi and dont remember it being this hot so early in the summer. We have been right at 100 or more for a while now. Maybe that means it will not be so hot in September!!! :lmao: wishful thinking!!!!

Yes we are trying for the 9am ride. And a big dis ride would be AWESOME :woohoo:

That sounds great. I am going to get in touch with them today and see if I can get us signed up. The family said they wanted to do it....I am not thrilled with what scenery I might see at the beach, but maybe it wont be so bad!! :laughing:

I talked to DCL yesterday and sent them a fax for the PJ Breakfast request. They said someone would be in touch with me by the end of the week....so everyone keep your fingers crossed that it all works out. I requested Friday October 2 in Lumieres immediatley after they open that morning. That should give everyone time to eat and get to any early shore excursions at Castaway Cay.

Ehm, let's see; brunch at 11.30 on first sea day. Nothing on sea day 2 yet, last sea day; high tea at 3 pm.

Tequila, Tequila, Tequila

:lmao::rotfl::laughing: Just curious though; have you ever had a glas of water? A milk when you were born? Or were you spoiled from day one? :laughing:

I ran into the perfect gift for my secret mickey-part. Had an idea it would be difficult to find something right, but this was a breeze. Can't wait to see the reaction. :woohoo:

Oh, and I've been ruined by the chocolate thing on here. Now when I go to the grocery store, I end up finding myself at the chocolate isle thinking 'hmm, they probably wont have that in the US', 'nop, those neither, nor those or them'. Good for my figure though, keeps me from thinking 'want that one, oh that one, or that'. :rotfl:
