Well my Bday has gotten off to a wonderful start. Was only nurse at work, got out late, didn't get resort I wanted with AP rate, and Disney website is being it's usual PITB self.

It's got to get better right

Congrats! Tell me about that nasty website. It took me ages to get some info. Looks like no deals to be had on our rooms, but who knows what they will add over the days? All I know is that I am no longer checking that darned site. I doubt that we'll do better than the 40% discount we've got already, but it doesn't hurt to have TA double check.

Palo Dinner Question - When are you all planning on booking? I was thinking on Sunday night since we will be dressed up for formal night, but what should be our second and third choices be in case it is not available? TIA!!

We decided to make a late dinner reservation for Palo at the CC-night. Like a closure of the trip and late because we have early dining so if we wish, we can do both.

We personally are aiming for a 2nd sea day brunch. This will be our first vist to Palo.

Ok I need a bit of help from previous cruisers.
I need some idea of what the heck I'm going to need to do Saturday night/ Sunday Am to book stuff.
Can I be logged into Disney cruise site before 12:01 EST? than just have to pull up cruise info or do I need to be completely off site for it to work

I did it before but I wasn't booking any ASAP things that cruise so I looged on later in day.

You need to log into your reservation. LOG OUT on the DCL-site!!! Important! The website can scr*w up and it can take up to 15 minutes before it lets you back on for some problems. Been there, done that, it took 30 minutes to make our reservations with nobody on the darned website.

Right at midnight, go to 'my disney cruise'. Than onto "retrieve reservation". There you log on with your normal info PLUS reservation number and date of birth of the lead guest on the reservation. Proceed to 'my cruise plans'. There you will be able to make reservations for Palo, excursions, spa and nursery. Watch out; after selecting a time and date, it isn't confirmed yet! You'll need to confirm the whole itinerary at the end for it all to become confirmed. DO NOT log out to early, thinking you are safe!

They offered us windows for brunch on sea day 1 and 3 (cruise days 2 and 6) with 2 timeslots, high tea on all of the sea days (cruise days 2, 3 and 6) at 3 pm and diner for all of the nights, with time slots at every half hour from 6.00 to 8.30 pm.

Hello everyone,

Well my cruise is paid in full. I had a nice surprise when I paid today. I received a $111.00 package decrease per cabin (2) from when I booked last year on board. They had to add a $111.00 ser-charge to help pay for the high price of disel fuel last year.

YOU DON'T GET MONEY BACK VERY OFTEN

I wonder if we all get reimbursed for the fuel surcharge. Anyone else get their surcharge back yet? I'm going to have to contact my TA.

We were not charged, but we rebooked our cruise per our TA advice when they took the FC off after we booked it. Hopefully more of you will have it reimbursed for more drink/excursion money.

I actually was going to put a whiteboard on my door just in case my peeps want to drop by and write messages. However, I recall we had discussed that maybe KimmySue wouldn't mind putting a whiteboard outside her suite for messages...? Not sure if we ever decided one way or another for sure, though.

I have got the crazy part of the summer out of the way and get to coast for the next moth until the kids go back to school. Which means more time for Dis!

I have been pretty good about reading but not posting in our little corner of the Disboards, so welcome to all the new folks and sorry to see a few of you have to postpone your trips.

We are shooting for Monday night at Palo. As for the brunch, not sure which day yet. Probably whatever is available. I have to register my DD (2) for Flounders, so I need to make sure my times correlate w/ hers.

I think one message board total would be better than having one on each floor. I'd be running all over the place trying to figure out who is who and who is where! We may be on that message board...we are going to try and upgrade to a balcony at the port. Maybe we'll be lucky?

- drinks. (no not alcoholic, sorry ) Is there water available at the drink stations at deck 9? I'm assuming not? And what about light drinks? I'm sure I'll get more than my share of calories from all the lovely food , so no need to stack it on from drinking.

There is filtered water on tap at the drink station. Suggest you get some of those sport cap water bottles and just refill them. The filtered water on board is better than bottled water. There is also HI-C and pink lemonade however those have calories. There are diet soft drinks as well.

The fridge is a cooling box. It has shelves in it to prevent breakage. At best you can probably get 10 cans of beer in there. Bring zip loc bags. Ask for ice from roorm steward. fill zip loc bag with ice. place in fridge. It helps get things cooler. You will have to do this daily.

I have a mini soft sided cooler I leave in my bathtub. My room steward would ice my beer down twice a day. It rocked!!!!!
I would just grab and go....

Yup - DH and I loved the rasul too. I'm very excited to try the Rainforest Room!

We were actually taken to the rainforest room at the end of our rasul and given a glass of champagne to drink there! It was kind of busy in there with people coming in and out, but the sounds and views were very relaxing --and the champagne was definately a nice touch!



By my calculations, our window will open at midnight on Sunday the 28th. And, yes, you will have to log into your cruise reservation on the Disney Cruise website to make the reservations.

time is ticking away... can't wait to hear what everyone has booked! I didn't realize you could book all three PALO engagements online ahead of time. I thought it was only one--so we were going to do the brunch as we have never done it before. May have to rethink that one! Don't know that DH is up for the high tea. Maybe we could get a group of gals together to do that one?
And, I agree - - time is FLYING by!! I just told DH yesterday how we've really got to get going on our FE gifts. If we don't get going, you guys are going to be uber-under impressed....which I definitely don't want. However, with us, we tend to do our best work under pressure, so I have no doubt we'll pull it through in the end.

I have no doubts that we will be amazed at you and dh's talents and cannot wait for the surprise. I, also, am the queen of procrastination, and there is something about having no more time left that gets things done!!

Congrats on making your ressies for PALO!!!! You must be relieved, and you even get more goodies with the REAS package onboard!!! Kudo's to you!!!!

If you are interested in the cabana massage at CC, I would book it now while available. At times they do fill up, so better to book now and cancel later if you change your mind!!!
