Sept. 26, 2009 Magic

OK OK, I confess! I'm surfing without my glasses on, so I have to do a bit of guessing sometimes. Picked the wrong name. :rolleyes1:headache::rolleyes:

Not your fault. I have yet to repost my pic for my autosig.
The order of the names corresponded with the order of the people in the photo.

It is on my list of things to do....

We are ordering custom wristbands for our cruise, kinda like the LiveStrong ones. They have "Picaroon Pirates" and "Sept 26th - Oct 3rd" debossed on them. When we get close to ordering them, we can decide what color bands we want. I am guessing we will be looking at lime green or a red/black combo.

Currently we have orders for 50 adults and 8 kid sizes, that will work out to be about $1.50-$1.75 a piece.

Just trying to remember :rotfl: did I sign us all up for ones? If not we would need 4 adults and 3 kids. Thanks. :goodvibes

:scared1::scared1:HOLLY GUACAMOLE BATMAN!!!! Me thinks I might have to rethink my "every cabin, every day" plan. :upsidedow:upsidedow. On a brighter note::yes::... We are down to only owing $1700 for our cabins... :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2: Last week I bought all 7 air fare tickets :dance3::dance3:, and today I purchased the trip insurance, and am in the middle of reserving our rental car, but trying to find one for all 7 of us and our luggage is proving to be a challenge. :cool2:. We also have our hotel for the 3 days prior to the cruise reserved AND paid for :banana: now just working on the hotel for the 2 days after the cruise. :thumbsup2. We got cheaper airfare if we didn't fly home till Monday. :goodvibes. Now I just have to decide if we are returning the rental car at the port or in Orlando and SURPRISE :ssst: our kids and rent a limo to take us to the port..would be their very first limo ride..and our twins first flight as well. :jumping1: Next I will try to figure out if we will be doing any excursions...has anyone done this Itinerary before? Just basically looking to do like jet skis or 4 wheel drive things...any advise? :flower3:. Well, before I end up writting a book :rotfl: have a nice afternoon all. :grouphug:

I'll take two adult wristbands.

Wow. :scared1: I think you would indeed do yourself a favor by rethinking that. Only to think about the space it would take up in your luggage with our large group. Then again, it would leave you with lots of space left for the way home which can be filled with souvenirs. :rolleyes1

Have you guys thought about excursions at all yet? I'm really on the fence. I want to surprise DH with the golfing excursion in St. Thomas but it's very pricey...still, it would be a once-in-a-lifetime experience for him, so I think I'm going to do it.

Anyone who's taken the Eastern before have any recommendations about any of the excursions? Our 90 day window is fast approaching!!

Crystal, if you can afford it and the momento/memory is worth more than the bucks; book it. :thumbsup2 If either is a no; you'ld better look further, there are enough great things out there after all. :goodvibes

And do you need to ask if I'm already looking into excursions? No, do'nt think so, right? ;) I'm busy and been for a while now! Still haven't found anything that might suit us on St. Maarten, so think we might resort to grabbing a cab and free wheeling it.

Yeah...I know all about your recent busyness! :lmao:

We actually also thinking about doing the island tour at St. Maarten, but I just don't know. I've tried asking the general cruise board about the various excursions and I get directed to the "excursion review thread" in the FAQs...which has like 1 or 3 reviews of each excursion, which isn't too helpful. We'll see though...we'll probably just wing it when we start booking on our 90th day. Close our eyes and choose something.

You might want to surf to boards.cruisecritic.com It's a large cruise board, which also has sub-boards dedicated to individual ports. All our ports are on there (of course) and you can find a lot of info about different tours, doing-it-yourself-tours etc. etc.

I looked into accessible (read; powerchair) island tours on St. Maarten, but that's like wanting to rob a bank so expensive. :( So, grabbing a cab and putting the manual chair in the back will probably work out a lot better. Cheaper and we can decide on the spot where to go when.

Me doing a dive on St. Thomas should work out by the way. Already gotten the most important part of medical approval, so I'm assuming the rest will be a breeze.

Thanks for the recommendation for cruisecritic!! Will definitely be :surfweb: there!! That's very smart about your self-guided tour at St. Maarten, and I'm so excited for your dive at St. Thomas!! That's very very cool! We're actually going to try to snorkle at Castaway Cay and are thinking about trying the jetskis, so that should be very fun to try something new there! :yay:
