So, here I am at home, sick. I have some kind of stupid stomach virus. So...I am planning our cruise! I saw the new navigators and am seriously contemplating printing them out and highlighting stuff we want to do lol. I just called and made our reservation for our hotel room on the 25th. We are staying at the Radisson. Is it too early to call for a shuttle time?

As for linked dining, we may be interested. We have currently requested a table for 2 but I know that's not so likely. We would like to sit with another couple without kids (we love kids but since we don't have any yet I just don't think we'd feel comfortable...kind of like a "third wheel" to the family). We have first seating. Hubby works in a fine dining establishment, and is slightly obcessed with food lol. And we are non-drinkers, so we won't be sharing any bottles...

Your Dh and my Friend Jodi could Talk food all night and Dh And I could vist with you . No kids in our group unless the kid in all of us counts. Also non drinkers for most part, I've been known to get drinks on deck but not at dinner.

I made a decision about our FE gifts! I am really excited. I think everyone will like them a lot...

Fire14 - You have a foodie in your group to huh? lol I blame it on my husband's Italian background...his great grandmother would seriously be offended and think you didn't like the meal unless you ate 4 plus servings. And his grandmother thinks I'm anorexic and don't eat enough (you mean 8 stuffed shells, 10 pieces of banana bread, and a bunch of other junk wasn't enough?) ! He works at a steakhouse so it will be interesting to see how he feels about the beef dishes.

Hey Amanda, sorry to hear you are sick My family will send you some and a bouncy thing I don't know if the bouncy guy will help, Joshua just likes the way he looks.

Yes Jodi is a mega foodie person She has a thing for desserts. She is a cook at a retirement place so her and I call each other and gripe about our residents as I'm a nurse. Jodi has a Assoc degree in Culnary arts.

A navigator is a daily schedule of things going on each day of the cruise. The link above shows what they look like. You get one each night in your cabin that outlines the activities for the next day.

The homepage is the main page for the DIS boards.

FE gifts: For those participating...are you buying for one day only? I know many of you said you figured out what you are giving. So just one of the days you'll decide to fill the FEs? Multiple gifts for multiple days? Just curious the "procedure"?

We are going to partake in this but, I need some ideas. You know I'm the dummy husband....thought it would be fun for our 2 boys.

Ideas for gifts for the FE.....examples of things I have received in the past are....

Magnets, postcards, little bags of candy, pirate related trinkets, pens, notepads, mardi gras beads, glow in the dark items, key chains, small balls, disney related trinkets, temporary tattoos, stickers....

Alot of people like to give something related to the state which they are from...

Hope that gives you some ideas. Just be creative and anything will work. It does not have to be big or expensive.

I will only be filling the FE's on 1 day. Probably 1 gift per family....if I know there are 2 different families in the cabin, then I will put more.

Pam: Thanks so much for the Navigator info. So similar to a Cruise Compass on the RCCL ships. Can't wait to go check it out. And great ideas on the FEs. I gotta get working. I have a couple of ideas.

Did anyone decide on cut off dates for FE, SM, lanyards? Are we still going through with all of this stuff?

I ordered my kids' pirate costumes today. I'm so excited. Both are going to look so cute, and it's a great time of year to shop for costumes since there are ridiculous sales if you search. And a good friend of mine dresses up as a pirate every year for Halloween for the last 12 years. She has several adult male and female costumes. I just happened to mention to her mom, who I work with, today about the costumes for my kids and told her I was unsure what we were going to do. Then she told me about her daughter (my friend), and I shot her over a message to borrow her stuff. YAYYYY!

We bought for each cabin for each day..and a theme for each day as well. I literally have one HUGE suitcase packed with all the fe gifts.

I was perusing the cruise boards today and saw a thread about doing customized wrist bands kinda like the LiveStrong bracelets. I did a bit of digging and I think that we can get customized ones for about $1.50 a piece at a couple of different places online. Anyone have any interest?

Hi, Everyone. I haven't been on Disboards in awhile. I've caught up on all that I've missed.

I have to say that I've loved Keith's energy and all his pictures. You have a very beautiful family. Keep up the postings!! We have sons the same age. Maybe they can meet up in the kids club??

The wrist band idea is a good one.

I'd like to also be involved in the Fish Extender activities. This is our first 7 day cruise (2nd DCL) but our first time to participate in FE. I'd also like to participate in the Pajama Breakfast too, if that becomes an option. We are in cabin 8530. I have said before that I have three kids (DD12, DD11 & DS8). I'd also like to have my niece (DN10) be apart of our extender so I have 4 kids. Is that possible??

I can't wait til Sept!!!!!
