Hi everyone I`m fire 14`s hubby. DW told me she had this thread today. Sound like a fun bunch of Disers are going to be on this cruise.!We are both looking for this time. I hope we get to meet everyone of you. I`ll tell you what 1st round of soda on deck 9 around the soda fountain is on DW and I It sounds like Mel is the 1 to ask questions from. I have many if you don`t mind me asking? It also sounds like we all want to go to Palo. We did not do it on the 4 day cruises we did. Well I better get off of here don`t want you to think I`m long winded.

I read the passporter cover to cover, I just got off of the Wonder on Sunday and I sailed on the Magic in November; I might be able to help with questions too. So ask away!

We just ate at Palo last Thursday and it was as awesome as always! We are going to try for the Palo Brunch on this cruise!

Hi Bigferrell since you were the 1st to take me up on the free soda .I`m going to be a generous big kinded heart Diser I`m throwing in the ice and wax cup tooooo DW said she would bring the pizza to all you can eat. Yes we want to do Palo brunch,we heard sooo many great things about it. My questions are. When the Magic comes into ports St Marrten ,St Thomas do we dock in like Nassau or anchor out in bay?

In St. Maarten and in St thomas we dock and are able to walk off of the ship. There are pictures on wdwinfo.com of the ship and the ports.

Ahhhhh, Bigferrell, I just viewed your entire slideshow - you have some fabulous pictures on there. They soooooo took me back to our trip on the Wonder. *Sigh* After we cruised, DH told me that he would be perfectly happy cruising for every vacation that we ever took. I (of course) scoffed at the notion of missing my dear Disney parks, but I'm starting to rethink that sentiment. Since we're off work for 2 weeks for our upcoming September trip, we're doing the parks for 9 days - - I'm thinking we can sneak in a 3-Day cruise - LOL? It's better to ask for forgiveness than permission, right?

I hope all of the mothers out there have a wonderful Mother's Day!!!

Did I read in another post that you were staying at the Poly? That is our all time favorite Disney Resort! In my dreams I win the lottery and just live at the poly and on the DCL Magic!

Good morning everyone. I have a couple more questions for you bigferrell. On St Martin DW and I want to do the Under Two Flags Island Tour we had some friends tell us this is a nice tour. Have you ever done this excursion? What did you and you family do while you where there? Then on St Thomas we are not sure what if any excurions that we want to do. DW and here friend want to shop. When they heard about a choc. store on 1 of the island not sure if they will get pass it. I want to go into the casinos on St Martin. Not sure if there are any on St Thomas?We did not care for Nassau. We do go into it but not to long. The last time we where on the Wonder and got off in Nassau . This guy wanted to braid my hair and give me a tattoo in the same chair For 1 my hair is not that long and 2 I don`t want a tattoo. Then 1/2 of a block from the boat guy wanted us to taxi back to the boat,he said we look beat. We heading to WDW friday morning and I we can hardly wait. Will be in the park for 8 days. Back to the islands what should we stay clear of on the islands ? I quess that is it for now,will think of more after I get off of here.

We have been on three Disney cruises but have not yet done this itenerary with St Martin and St. Thomas. Do you guys have a passporter? That is what we use as our solid source of info.

How and when do I make dining reservations? Am I able too? We would do the early dine as we have 2 kids.(DS will be 9 and DS will be 6). We booked through a travel agent, do I tell them or is this something I do? We would also do the fish extender thingy as well. Just gotta get one and what do you put into said extender? Stuff from your state or things that are common where you live? We also will be doing Palo after all we will be celebrating our 10yr.

Your dining rotation is assigned to you by DCL. You can request early or late dining thru your TA.
Your Palo ressie you can book once cruise is paid off and 75 days prior to sailing you log into disney cruise website and one of areas you can fill out cruise contract, cc info, register kids for clubs, book excusions etc.

as for fish extender you can put whatever you please in them I'm thinking of doing Stickers, ink pens, Some kind of small gift in mine. you could do something from your state if you choose. Once cruise gets closer I'll start list of who's doing and what cabin they are in.

Be sure and have TA note on your Ressie you are elebrating 10th annv. On our last cruise we got a special dessert one night, A special gift in state room and were seated with other celebrating annv.

Ok for anyone who doesn't know how to book things:
Go to www.disneycruise.com
You will need to log in using your disney site id, if you don't have one there is place to sign up
once logged in click my disney cruise on right top of page
once page loads you can see bunch of buttons on left side
click cruise plans
you will than need to type in dcl ressie # and birthdate of lead person on ressie
once your cruise is paid off and your booking window is open (75 Day new cruise/90 day repeat cruiser) there are buttons to book shore excusions, palo, etc.


I hope this helps anyone who needed it. You can also check on your cabin number etc thru this area by choosing my reservation instead of cruise plans.

LOL - DH nixed the 3-Day cruise idea. Actually, since the Wonder leaves on Thursdays and Sundays, we would have to either extend our trip by a day (as we check out on Wednesday) or knock 3 days off and leave on Sunday. I just don't think it's in the cards this year.

As to our WDW trip this year, YES, we are most definitely staying at the Poly. We stayed there last year during our Land/Sea and we fell in love not only with the resort itself, but with the convenience of the monorail. I'm so excited!!!!
