Crystal, I'm up for a pre-cruise DIS WDW meet. Sounds like fun if you ask me! And if not, you'll at least have a face with the name to be able and try to avoid me.

I'm up for it if I can squeeze it into my plans.I'll have to remember this. With the price of parking at the terminal, that really is a deal. How was the hotel's shuttle when you got off the ship?
Hmmmmmm, I'm starting to see a possibility of a pre-cruise Dis meet?![]()

We, too, are driving down the day before (don't want to take any chances). If there is any interest, I think that we'd have a really fun time!!
Most kids I know wouldn't mind doing NASA.
It's official, there will be a second passenger in my stateroom. Male, born on christmas eve 2005 and listening to the name of Xippe. A real blonde labrador. Whoohoo!
(And, I know he's a working dog and all, but pictures would be appropriate - LOLOLOLOLOL).
Not only is he 2,5 allready, but he's about 30 kg (about 55 pounds, I think?). Don't want him to think he's small and a lapdog.
Allow me to introduce to you all; Xippe

And ofcourse, that's a very unbiast opinion.
Crystal, he's hardly a little guy.Not only is he 2,5 allready, but he's about 30 kg (about 55 pounds, I think?). Don't want him to think he's small and a lapdog.

If you don't mind me asking what type of service dog is he? And it is awesome he is coming on the curise with us...Just wish my 'babies' could come with us
but i'm sure Disney would not think my toy chihuahua's would be of any service to anyone let alone me
....As for the pre-get together it would be awesome,
count us in.
Actually last time we stayed at the new Nick Hotel we might do that again and it was right down the street from the Medevil knights show..we might take the kids their...we did that this past June before our Mexico cruise...it was A HUGE hit with all the kids.
I hope you all have a great Wednesday.
Xippe is something we call a 'helping dog'. He's trained to help me open and close doors, get me all kinds of things, pick up after me if I drop things, push switches for lights, elevators etc, hep me do the groceries, help me do the
, even helping me out when I do dislocate a joint again and can't put it back myself. He should be able to put it back, which will safe me a lot of trips to the ER. He basically has to run the household for this lazy woman.
As for the pre-get together it would be awesome, but we won't be staying near DW we stay right near the pier...so if you all wanna met for dinner near the peir hint, hint, hint...
count us in.

Seriously, though, the fact that he can put a dislocated joint back is place is incredible. We are planning on staying port side as well. Maybe we could plan a meet over there for all of us staying close to the port.
It will be such a fun party!
But yeah, these dogs are very smart. I mean, knowing the difference between right and left, behind and in front. Knowing which distance (there are different commands for walking without leash that let's him know how far he can wander off during playtime) is which, and the list goes on and on. Really unbelievable. To be honest, it is a long long wait until next month.
Sounds like we'll just have to do a lot of meetings.
Crystal, you could sent DH to the same school as Xippe but their very picky to which students they allow in. Not only that, but you'ld miss DH for about 2 years and it would cost you somewhere around 40K with the risk of him not graduating. Sounds like you'll just have to put up with him and spent the 40K and regular trips and cruises to keep you going. Oh poor you.![]()
The joint-'trick' sounds more wow than it is. One of the most basic commands they teach the dogs is to push and pull. These 2 commands are used for a lot of every day stuff like opening and closing doors, cabinets etc. I know in which direction to pull or push a limb and with how much force. Next to that, it's basically Xippe pushing or pulling like he's told to. It's more difficult to teach a human, medical professionals included, to do this. But yeah, these dogs are very smart.
