sftnslky,

Thanks for posting on the kids thread. I noticed that they apologized and seem to have cleaned it up a little. :thumbsup2

:upsidedowYour welcome, and I sincerely hope I didn't offend any parents..I just wanted to nip the direction the thread was taking in the bud. WAY to many bad things can start on the internet even with all the best of intentions. :flower3:

:rotfl: I don't remember, but someone posted about the car that does a tour on land and then goes/drives/floats in the water? Wasn't that on one of the islands we are going to? Or am I loosing my mind :rotfl: which is more the case. :goodvibes I remember someone even took the time to post photos of it. We are not going to be able to take our boys on the ATV outing...not enough adults so wanna do something they would think is "Hecka Cool" :lmao: they would like the open air safair bus tour, but might get bored..so any help, any thoughts? Let me know. :goodvibes

Duck

The Duckaneer on St Thomas is currently in the shop. It seems that it had a run in with a small building.

I asked on another board and the locals said that it hasn't been repaired yet. KimmySue emailed the ticketing agent to see if they had an expected date that it will be back in service.

We will keep you posted.

Well darn...any other "boy" friendly ideas for St. Thomas anyone? XXXX my fingers that the duck will be flying soon. Thank you so much for all the information. :cutie:

Anyone get their cruise documents yet? We got our Magical Express luggage tags last week for our WDW stay pre-cruise, but so far, nothing cruise related.

I know it's a little early to be getting our little packets in the mail, but I am looking forward to it each day!

Anyone gotten an upgrade yet? We were pixie-dusted last time. I know it's a long-shot, but I sure would love a verandah! :goodvibes

In other news, my younger son, Seth, just got a note from school today that he is switching to a new class, starting tomorrow. We were told last night at the 3rd grade parents' meeting that some kids would be switching classes due to overcrowding, but we thought if Seth got switched, he'd be moved to the new teacher's classroom. Instead, he is being moved to one of the existing teachers' rooms. It makes me think that his current teacher wanted to get rid of him. I hope I am wrong, b/c that makes me sad to think about that.

I also sent letters to both of the boys' schools asking for them to excuse their absences for our vacation. Haven't heard anything back from the elementary or the middle school yet. Grrr....

Oh, and I hadn't even thought about taking my door magnet stuff to Kinko's. I guess I could do that...

So I'm assuming I would print the pictures I want to turn into magnets and then have them put them onto magnet paper, or would it be easier to just bring a disk with the photos on it and have them print/put it on magnet paper?

I know I probably sound really air-headed, but I just wanted to know how others are doing it. I think Kinko's would be a good way to get it done and even though it's probably a little more expensive, it will save me some time.

Nop, no cruise docs here yet. But than again, with us leaving 8 days prior and the distance our TA is expecting she might have to sent us a second copy to us at AKL with it not being here on time. :upsidedow

And a bit silly, but I did a :woohoo::yay: when reading you got your DME tags. It's like those are a serious sign of; here we go! And if you just got them, ours can't be long anymore also. :cloud9:

Maybe they found he would fit better in the other class for logical reasons? A friend that is in that class, being moved there, the teachers teaching method more suiting him, that kind of stuff? I know that schools do switch kids her sometimes, which almost always is based on things like socially fitting better in a different group, letting them stay with friends (or actually splitting them up when getting too fun....) etc.

Maybe it's something to talk about with the new teacher? It can be all kinds of logical other reasons and if so, you'ld stop that nagging feeling.

We've got a saying; 'no news is good news'. So basically; they're excused in my book until told otherwise. :littleangel:

Hun, if this makes you air-headed than I'm lightyears past rescueing. :headache: My mind kinda blanks out at the mention of magnet paper. Oops. Seriously love what others make, love how the doors look, but that is SO way beyond my skills it is pathetic.

So basically; I'm no help what so ever, besides perhaps giving some comfort that you are no way near the worst in this scenario. :rotfl2:

I personally printed mine on cardstock, laminated using new thermal laminater I bought myself. and will buy magnetic tape from walmart and cut pieces to stick on back of things i printed.

For me it was simplier to do this. I scrapbook so had cardstock in house, seems always making stuff to laminate and figure this won't be my only disney cruise LOL.

:rolleyes1 I wasn't quite sure what to make of it. I figured the path/conversations were being held with parental knowledge, so I didn't feel it was particularly my place to intervene as my kids were not in the mix...:confused3

If you want some designs have some made by lovely ladies here on DIS. There is a lovely thread on main cruise board with lots of cool designs that ladies have made for others. I can laminate for you.

Thank you! You made me feel so much better!

And I hope you get your luggage tags soon too! It's like, "no turning back now." What a good feeling...only 33 days until we fly to Orlando!

Um, how thoughtful of them, right? I hate to say it, Hon, but this sounds like a trainwreck in the making. :sad2:

Welcome to our group!! The "official" signup for the FE ended a couple months ago, but the good news is that some people either purchased or made extra, so you can definitely participate in the exchange. Just post your information (including cabin number and number of people in your party, including the ages of the children) and you'll get added to the list. :thumbsup2
Thank you Crystal
As of now I have no cabin number no children but three adults is that okay

Hello All. Can't wait to cruise. Hope my husband has not scared you all too much. I was surprised they let us re-book.

I looked over the fence there other day. Your husband was sitting on top of a pile of non-scented putty - like a hen on her eggs - and wearing only Crab boxer shorts. That was a little scary/weird - any idea what he was doing?:laundy:

Your husband has provided many moments of levity on this thread! :lmao:

He will be a celebrity of sorts while on the cruise; famous, infamous or maybe both. :rotfl2:
