Sept. 25, 2005 Wonder--Who else is on?

Sorry to hear you didn't enjoy it. We were on the cruise at the same time and had a wonderful time. We had 2 children with us who (fortunately) did great. I did see some people who were having a rough time due to kid meltdowns. Ours enjoyed the kids stuff and we got to hang out and do martini tastings and watch football. The weather was great and the only rocking of the boat that I felt coinsided with drinking wine at dinner (the first and the last night) and I am not sure if it was us or the boat?!

What happened for you that made it so awful? I thought the food was awesome- we even ordered filet minon on the side at Palo's and ate tons of deserts. Just curious about why your time was rough. We even stayed in one of the so called "noisy" rooms and the only noise I heard was from a baby that wasn't enjoying the trip at all (didn't wake up my kids, so I didn't care- just felt sorry for the family!).

Good luck with your next one!

:confused3

The food was nasty, including at palo. A woman pushed my wife down the stairs just so her daughter could see the rat. Our room felt like an earthquake going on whenever anything was going on at the theatre below. Nothing really for adults to do. What a waste of money.

I'm so sorry you didn't have a good time. My husband & I had a wonderful time. We found plenty of things to do (no kids) and actually we found we didn't have enough time to do everything we wanted.
Both my husband and I are picky eaters, and LOVED Palo's. We ate there twice and can't say enough about it. I have never heard anyone complain about Palo's before. It's horrible that you had a bad experience.
It's awful that someone pushed your wife. I hope you said something to make her realize how rude she was. I hope your wife didn't get hurt!

Why would you go on a Disney Cruise when you refer to Mickey as a rat?

worked for the rat for 4 years, I saw how things really are, So I am able to call the rat what he really is

ok but doesn't that start everything off on a sour note? It stinks you hated the cruise. I do agree with you that some of the people were really obnoxious. You wife getting pushed is really out of line.

I am also sorry you had a bad time, but you seemed to have already formed your opinion before the cruise. Worked for mouse now rat, we were on the cruise dressed as pirates no kids had a great time as many of you know. Found too much to do for adults, could not get it all done.

You guys enjoyed it, so be it. The wonder does not compare to the explorer of the seas, the explorer is much much better. So you guys can have your wonder, it sucks

Im sure there are nicer ships out there than the Wonder, I think there are just so many pure Disney fans who have found the" Magic"of Disney who just love it, included myself. I would feel guilty if I ever strayed from Disney. But thats just me. :cool1:

Again, sorry to hear that you didn't enjoy it. I grew up in Orlando- my family is still there. Totally my opinion- please no obscenities,... but I wouldn't have gone on a disney cruise unless I had kids. I am sure if I didn't grow up with the mouse (rats can be cute too!) I may want to do a disney cruise without kids.

You didn't enjoy the cruise- so be it- your experience may help out some other people, but I don't feel like your comments can be held in good faith. I have read about other people not liking the cruise- they had very valid points for them. But they didn't continuously use the word "sucks" and "rat"- very emotional undertones.

Disney Amusement Parks aren't my favorite places- crowds, overtired kids, etc. But I TOTALLY respect the fact that other people LOVE it!! I prefer many other amusement parks for my own reasons, but I won't look down on others and say disney "sucks" because my family prefers a whale over a mouse :)! I truly hope you can move on and understand that everyone has their own preferences, and because it doesn't work for you doesn't mean it "sucks"!

I am sorry your wife was pushed around by a crazy Disney fan- we stayed away from those lines as well- for the same reason,... Even without waiting in the lines, our kids got plenty of pictures with the characters!

Glad to hear almost all had a good time....I was so wishing we hadn't cancelled, I was wishing we'd be on the ship on the 25th. Just a note about sailing as two adults only....In three DCL cruises, my DH and I have had the most amazing time! So much so that I am nervous to sail when we have kids...it will no longer be just about our good time. (sounds selfish, but honest!) We avoid any kid only areas of the ship. We have it so we run into kids in the hallways, meals and shows or on my daily dose of scoops. But, I love seeing them get so jazzed to see the characters, too, so we usually watch "Until we meet again" from a "safe" stand point. We have encountered our fair share of rude, obnoxious people, but I encounter them everywhere! I love that Rat and all his friends, and we will continue sailing as adults, and hopefully enjoy it as much when we have kids. I completely understand that it is not for all, and sometimes you can only find that out by sailing, and unfortunately paying that money. Just don't bring others down in your language and attitude when telling others why you didn't like it.

What a shame since you seemed so excited before the cruise. What else happened to make you so sour?

We had a disappointing stay at BWV after the cruise but I would never discredit those whom have had a great time there. The place wasn't for us.

I am interested in what else happened on the ship to make you so upset.
