From New Zealand doing a whirlwind world trip with Disneyland at the end.

We arrive at the park late on the 23rd so first day will be the 24th, we hope to do WOC on the Weds or Thurs night.

We want to do MHP (ticket availabilty dependent) on the 26th.

I think that will only leave us with the 27th to do both Fantasmic & the traditional fireworks?

Can we do both in one night on a low season schedule? We have no flexibility as to dates.

Yep, sounds like that will be your only night for F! and non-Halloween fireworks.

We were there in low season a couple of years ago. There were two showings of F!, both after the fireworks. We watched the fireworks from Main Street, then leisurely walked across to New Orleans Square and had a hot chocolate while the first F! show was on. Once that was finished, we went in and got a spot in the 2nd row back from the railing, with only about a half an hour wait.

People were rushing madly from the fireworks to try to catch the first F! show. There wasn't much time between them, and those people may have missed the first few minutes of F!, and probably would have got lousy spots. But it is possible.

You can come up with a more definite plan once the show times have been released and you can see where F! and the fireworks fit in with each other.

 hey another Kiwi :)
As PP advised your best chance will be the second showing of F! Assuming they run 2 shows.
We will be there in Sept too and I am anxiously waiting for the hours/ schedule.

Just as zanzibar138 posted that F! and RDCT fireworks will be likely to running on Saturday during your trip since MHP does not run F!. As for both shows in one night, it is possible to do both shows on that one night. Here is September 2013 Park Hours from last year and it shows F! has two shows from 9pm & 10:30pm while RDCT fireworks start at 9:30pm. There are days when the fireworks starts before both shows of F!. It can be likely that the fireworks will start at 9:30pm and the two shows of F! will start at 9pm & 10:30pm.

You can also check out Fantasmic! Superthread - Or Everything You Need To Know About Fantasmic at Disneyland by HydroGuy which will tell you everything about F! and a great plan to watch both F! and the fireworks all in one night.

Yes, I just realised that it would have gotten dark earlier for our trip (Feb/March), so that's probably why the fireworks were on first. I agree, check out the superthread for the best ideas on how to do both shows.

I've just remembered reading somewhere that you were thinking of doing the dessert package for F! If that's the case, you could go for the first show. Apparently they will let you stay seated for the fireworks. You wouldn't see any of the castle effects etc, but you would probably see most of the actual fireworks, and they pipe music in for you. If you're not overly concerned about having the best view, it might be a good way for you to be able to have seating for both shows :thumbsup2

Thanks all, so it looks like I still need to wait for the schedule to come out, if I'm reading this right and the superthread etc we may have a chance to see the fireworks first and make it back to the second Fantasmic showing. I am planning on booking the dessert package - primarily for the seat, my poor bones will be over it by then. I so hope that option works.
