I did see a couple of episodes of this show, I really wanted to see it all, but never got around to it. I think in just the shows I saw, there were like 4 fires on board that day, it was crazy! I really liked seeing them walk underneath the ship, that was pretty cool. Maybe someday they will run the series again, and I can catch it from start to finish. Were there four episodes?

I think there were indeed four episodes.

Seeing them walk underneath the ship (and sign their names at the center point) was awesome. The idea of having a 75,000 ton ship resting -- and stable -- on a handfull of blocks just blew my mind.

Another thing I thought was interesting was where they were adding those staterooms by pre-assembling them on the dock and then shoving them in through a hole in the side. Those rooms looked downright claustrophobic compared to the ones on the Wonder/Magic.

I think I will get up in the middle of the night just so I can post before Didi. Can anyone beat her to the first post? It is our new challenge. Although I think it will have to be someone on the east coast to get her! That one hour ahead stuff just kills my chances in the midwest! Watch out, Didi, someone is gonna beat ya!

Bye. I've got to catch that SUV train again! Deanna

Alas, this is a challenge that I will NOT be competing in. Ick! This morning my kids slept until 8:30!! I slept in as well. It was lovely! Oh, last time on the trip, we ran into the same families over and over again. It was strange, with such a big ship that you see the same people so often. Tell your husband, sorry, there's no way of avoiding this crazy group! :3dglasses

Holy crap! I have to read the rest of the posts before I write any more! See what happens when you sleep late? :flower:

#1 What About Bob is the funniest movie ever made. I have the movie and watch it occasionally just to keep the lines memorized! "Baby steps, Bob, baby steps". If you haven't seen it, rent it before the cruise and watch it...there will be a quiz.

Season - Good luck catching up on all your work - in 10 days you won't have to worry about it! :sunny: :goodvibes :sunny:

Princess Olivia - The only really important tip for Saturday is - Don't forget your passport/birth certificate and cruise docs!!!!!! Oh, and don't forget a great pair of shoes! ;) You all will have a blast! Oh, and you can probably change to early dining when you first get on the ship. Just ask a CM and they will be able to tell you where to go. Good luck!

Ingrid - Here you go - :charac2: I happen to love that icon. I use it in my patented no hurricane dance. Anyway - Man, oh, man, let's hope you get the sickies over with before the cruise. Hope your ear gets better quickly. Are you going to the doc. today? p.s. I love Bill Murray. But only as a friend. I realize that I am crazy.

Erin - I'm sure we will have lots to talk about re: our kids' trips to the doctor!
As far as your cruise document questions go, I was going to try to answer them, but I read them and reread them - I have no idea what to do! Can you call your travel agent? Or Disney? Good luck!

Jamie - Mi amiga de espanol! I am going to Old Navy today to look for those shirts! I just love stuff like that! And I have to ask, are you a fellow Kenny Rogers fan? Can I just say I used to have a MAJOR crush on that man? I would cry when I heard "Coward of the County". I am NUTS, always have been.

Didi - I may be tardy, but I am pouring my second cup for you! :goodvibes

Good morning All! And welcome Newbies! Ya'll I feel like I am getting behind again. I haven't started packing and I know there are things I need to shop for but I don't know what they are because I haven't started packing yet....AGGHHH!! Oh well, there's alot to be said for just throwing everything you own in your suitcase at the last minute, right???

Dennis, who said I whine about DH buying that stuff anyway?? I'm a good wife and never, ever whine or complain or nag!! :rotfl:

Erin, call me (like you weren't going to anyway today) so we can talk about these documents. We'll need to figure this out.

Well, I'm hungry, so it's time to go. Have a great day everyone!! Mine will be completely full of doing laundry.

Uh-huh... I would just like to point out for the record that it was ME who brought up the need to start packing this weekend... :earboy2:

But most of the time I do wind up resembling that remark... :rotfl:

I just got tickets to the production of Wicked :cool1: :cool1: :goodvibes :bounce: :maleficen :Pinkbounc

okay sorry, just had to do a dance.

sorry I haven't checked in much. have we achieved the holy grail of 3003 yet? :confused3

Hello newbies :wave2:

Keri - How did your daughter do spending the night away from home? :flower:

Oh she did great. She really doesn't have much problem being away from us, which I am very thankful for. She only goes down to her Nana and PaPa's house about once every month or two, but she does really well. I was worried that she would always cry when I left her since I stay home with her, but she really doesn't. She's pretty social once she gets warmed up. Of course she gets away with everything while she's there and I have to deprogram her when she gets home.

Thanks for asking

Si, las camisas son muy loco! When I came home I showed them to my neighbor/friend who teaches Spanish in our school district and she wanted to get some, cut out the decal and re-sew it onto an adult sized shirt and finish it off with trim of some sort. I never thought of that when I was there or I'd be sporting one too! I hope you're able to find them. The dog is on a white shirt and the cats are on a red shirt. I live about 35 minutes away from the closest Old Navy and probably won't get there again before our trip or I'd offer to grab one (or both) for you. If my plans change, I'll PM you and Marsha. Who knows...there always seems to be something last minute that you have to make a run for.

As for Kenny Rogers, nah, I'm not a fan. Just sounded like good advice to pass along to a newbie. :goodvibes Oh well, back to the ironing board.

I can't fit everything I want to take into six little measly bags!!
I know everyone says to pack and take half out, but even with taking half out, I still can't fit it in!

And poor Gringo..he has'nt even started packing his stuff yet. I'll leave him an inch or two in the suitcase..but that's all he gets. :rotfl2:

Thank you for the good advice. I will try to change dinner plans as soon as I get on the ship.

DiDi- I couldn't beat your waking hour. I am fortunate enough that the children's father gets them up and ready for school until around 7:30. Then it's my turn. He commutes to RI, a better commute for him than Boston. He used to commute to the north shore through the city, and and we live on the south shore!! I am a substitute teacher and I only get called about 3 times a week.

I got in trouble last night. My stash of Disney and other on line shopping excursions got discoverd. Who would have thought he'd look under the blanketed tower of boxes in the play room? At least I can now begin to pack openly and not use the "I've had this for years" line!

Jennifer

Hello, everyone!

Jamie and Marsha - Quiero una camisa!! I went to an Old Navy today and they apparently haven't gotten them in yet. Marsha - If I see one in a 3T, I'll pick one up. I have one more Old Navy to try! Wish me luck! I did get a pair of brown pants for $20 - reg. $32.50!! WOO-HOO!!!!! :goodvibes I won't tell you what my total bill was today, I've blocked it out of my mind.

smilingmouse and Ingrid - I am having trouble figuring out exactly what I NEED to pack. I have a list of stuff I want to pack, but there's no way all of it is fitting in there. I do love the amount of room the space saver bags are giving me! Yipee!

bpicard9 - I'm glad you are back on here - I missed you! How's Emma liking kindergarten?!?

Keri - Isn't that nice when the want to stay at Grandma and Grandpa's? My kids absolutely adore my mom and dad and they love to spend the night there without me! They always tell me to leave. But I agree with you on the deprogramming when they come home. It's always a couple days to get them back to the fact that we don't eat doughnut for breakfast, snack, lunch and dinner. And no, I won't buy you anymore My Little Ponies!

another NO HURRICANE DANCE! :ssst: (I think it's working!

:listen: Packing?! Packing? Did someone say packing?!?... My boys stuff is all laid out- just need to physically pack it. I FINALLY started to put some outfits together last night and put things aside. A bit more wash to do and the outfits can be completed. But GUESS WHAT???... I found a dress I totally forgot I had in my closet last night! It's gorgeous and was worn for formal night on cruise a few years ago. The problem... cuz ya know there HAS to e a problem... it's too tight around my hips and butt - yikes! :scared1: I knew I needed to lose but ughhh, this will be tough! I hope my diet plan will workout (no pun intended) so I can wear it! Otherwise I'll be the one who can either a - barely walk :tilt: or b - will be naked!
Second formal night I'm bringing a nice pair of slacks and a pretty blouse. Hoping to find (more S H O P P I N G !! :cheer2: )a nice dressy belt to go with it!

I always pack too much nice stuff and not enough casual stuff. Example... your in a bathing suit and shorts alot since your usually by the pool w/ the kids. I mean really... how many get dressed again just to go to a sit down lunch and then back in a swim suit for the afternoon? :teeth: Late afternoon ya figure you'll get dressed for the night and that's it. I packed plenty of casual outfits for dinner time, but not quite enough to knock around in on the boat or on shore. I gotta get working on that! :moped:

Christine :smooth:

I can't believe one week from today will be my last day of work

B & J Mom - Thank you!!

IF Hubby knew how much I spent on this trip he would shot me. So I am keeping it secret, I am glad he isn't to go at math :teacher: :rotfl: :rotfl: he will never figure it out.

He is suppose to be getting his suite dry cleaned, I think he might do it today because I told him if not, I am ordering the penquin suite, Know as the tux. :teeth: :teeth:

:jumping1: :charac2: :dancer: :charac2: :dancer: :rockband: :dancer: :charac2: :dancer: :drinking1 :drinking1 :drinking1 :jumping3: :jumping2: :thewave: :jumping3: :jumping2:

NO HURRICANE DANCE OF THE DAY

Whew :tilt: You guys are exhausting. :hyper2: I've peeked in and out during work to catch up. I know I can't respond to everything so just a general missed you guys and am so glad to see all the excitement before we go. :teeth:

:ssst: don't tell Lem I finished my magnets for hubby and kids. I'll hang those inside our cabin, 'cause I'm just a wee bit paranoid and don't like to put pics of the kids on the outside of our door

Julie - Em loves Kdg but she only tells me about the Monkey Bars and library and music class everything else is "You went to Kindergarten didn't you? It's alot like that?" She turns 6 next week, often sounds more like 13 ;) By the way, are you packing costumes for Jack? D's decided he likes "Capn Hook" now so I think we're packing this for Pirate's night, What do you think?
