Hey Dennis..interesting to hear how Crystina won't play crib with you. I almost feel the same way about Gringo. I do play the occasional game with him, but would rather not. Cause he gets the attitude about it being "life or death" if he does'nt win. And then he makes up rules. Has anyone EVER heard of the rule that if you peg into the last hole on the crib board that you can only get out by one point? According to him you can't count your points in your hand, or 2 points, etc. And I've NEVER found this rule in ANY cribbage rule books! Hmmm..(pondering) And then he will NEVER play muggins! (that's cause he is always missing counting a few points here and there and I always catch him on it)

Hey..noticed on the cruise docs that we will be in Key West until 10 pm! Whoohoo! I really wanted to check out the action at Mallory Square on sunset. Looks like we will be able to do that now.

::MickeyMo Okay you'll Eric just pulled out the Disney Cruise Line Vacation Video, I think he is getting more excited than he ever has... especially when he is talking about packing two weeks ahead of time!!! :cheer2: He usually drives me completely crazy by waiting until the night before we go somewhere to start packing. I like to have a little time so I know I have my undies and toothbrush... just call me crazy!!! :cool1: I may just have a mild OCD case! :confused3 I am a spur of the moment spontanious type of person but I need my toothbrush!!! :jumping1:

Ingrid ~ Chrystina  hates losing to me. :confused3 Anybody else? OK. Same problem goes on with Racquetball or anything else. Loves me dearly but seems somewhat sadistically happy when I lose ... :rotfl2:

Muggins is considered to be the ONLY optional rule in Criggbage. It is expressed in Rule 10.0 (10.1-10.4) in accordance with the American Cribbage Congress. It must be declared BEFORE play begins.

Gringo's contention that you MUST place a peg in the OUT hole appears to be a misinterpretation of Rule 8.10 that indicates a peg MUST be placed in the Out (121) hole. It MUST be used when Muggins have been declared "in play" HOWEVER, nothing in the rules dictates that the pegging MUST be exact. Gringo is wrong, you are right. Again, American Cribbage Congress and NO, there is no such variation in Canada that I am aware of.

Ok, I think I am going to go ahead and answer bonus question A from the quiz again:

Dennis

Geez! You are quoting rules from the American Cribbage Congress!?! This guy knows his cribbage!!!

I'd like to think that this is a sign of a healthy marriage! :teeth: In general, I can handle losing a game or whatever...but NOT to my husband!

Hey now, that was because... uhm... Mac was talking about the boat.

Yeah, that's it. Mac wanted to watch it. :rolleyes1

JULIE ~ MOST EXCELLENT!!! I am SO proud of you!!! For that, I will have to find something EXTRA special for you!!! :rotfl2: Fortunately, this will be a set of friendly games (except maybe w/DIDI) . :rotfl2:

I do agree with you about the "signs of a happy marriage". It goes right along with the DH quietly & with limited emotions responding "YES DEAR". A phrase which is so often misinterpreted by the DW as being ignored. :love2:

Dennis

DIDI ~ Since Julie has finally answered Bonus Question A correctly, I guess I could give you a little help. Listed below are the top players in MA, just in case you want to contact anyone for last minute tutoring... :rotfl2: Massachusetts ranks fourth in the nation behind CA/WI/OR for the number of top players... And YES Ingrid there is an Albertan in the Top 100 players. SHE is Marion Bradley...

3 Robert W. Wahlgren North Grafton MA 207
16 Robert Medeiros Dorchester MA 125
21 John J. Rooney Randolph MA 105
27 Armand P. Hamel Chicopee MA 95
37 William F. Inglis Braintree MA 76

I forgot to mention earlier that I got more packing done today, finished (I think) my cruise shopping and made t-shirts to be signed by the characters for Bailey and Jack. They are so cute! Bailey's has a picture of her in her cinderella dress with crown; Jack's has a picture of him in his Buzz Lightyear outfit. Now I just have to remember to pick them up from guest services on the last night of the cruise...unlike last time when I forgot! :rolleyes2

Kim what kind of MUG and what size is the DH buying me??? :rotfl:

Group hug :grouphug:

Didi :wizard:

Ohh Didi, for the right coffee he'll buy you any mug you want :rotfl: . I have had to cut off his "collection" of mugs..We have one ENTIRE kitchen cupboard devoted to mugs....his favorite is his "Butt" mug. The rule is if a new mug can't fit in the cupboard without everything falling out when you open it you can't keep it. He staches them in his work van and brings in an entire diswasher full load at a time :earseek: they are all dirty of course

Question ~ Does anyone have experience with Internet Access on board ship? How is terminal time regulated? Reservations or Wait-in-Line? In all my trips, I have NEVER used it. :confused3 BUT it appears that this time I will have to ... :rolleyes1

Dennis

I don't know about waiting in line but i did find out it is open 24hrs a day.

WELCOME NEWBIE's

Man I'm sure glad I'm not involved in this Cribbage thing......getting SOO vicious :teeth:

I totally agree, I play games to "PLAY" DH playes to "WIN".....not a good combination. Last time we played Miniture golf together I almost killed him. "I don't care that I'm swinging wrong" "I don't care if I did it that way I would do better" ..... :rotfl2:

I ironed lots of cruise clothes today, Getting VERY EXCITED!!!!!!

Thank you Dennis. :goodvibes

I'm going to print out that post in poster-size in a neon orange and pin it on the fridge Tuesday morning, so Gringo can’t miss seeing it.

I might even mention MRS Marion Bradley too!

I would have done it tonight, but I need him to hang some blinds for me tomorrow. :rotfl2:

Oh, I could never play mini golf with Clint. I would probably get way irritated as well. One time, our marriage nearly ended over a game of Scattergories. Of course, I'm kidding...kind of.   So I guess we are both a bit competitive! :love2:

Hello again!!! Just got back from shopping. I got 2 pairs of leather gloves today for $8.98 WOOOHOOO!!! Gotta love it when Wilson's has a good sale :)

Oh Ladies ~ When will you understand :confused3 ???

Your DH's "competitive tendencies" is a carry-over from when we had to compete with each other to attain the attention of the most lovely of ladies. That being, YOU, of course. :teeth: Having achieved that, and, of course, feeling ourselves inadequate to having achieved such glorious attention of such a GODDESS, as yourself, we must continue to compete to WIN!!! :teeth:

Ingrid ~ You will remove my name from the post - right? Don't want to start on a bad relationship with Gringo... :rotfl2:

WOW!!! Am I glad that I am going back to work tommorrow!!! Two weeks off in El Paso and my single surviving brain cell has gone into meltdown!!! :rotfl2:

Becky - Where exactly are we going that you need leather gloves? :confused3

I am happy to notice that Y'all Gals are so much into fishing but the correct spelling of the species is WAHOO not WOOHOO! :teeth:

Well, I don't want to speak for SmilingMouse, but if it was me..it does'nt matter if I NEED the gloves or not. What is important is that they were on SALE!

So I spent about three hours today cleaning the guest bedroom ...trying to rid it of every cat hair. Not an easy task when we have three cats. Next Saturday the room will be converted into a bridal dressing room. I don't think Robyn would be happy to drape her gown over the bed, only to pick it up and find cat hairs clinging on to it.

The photographer wants to take a picture of me helping the bride out of the limo when she arrives at the church. If I was unsuccessful in ridding the room of cat hairs all the photos of me will be with a lint remover in my hand! :rotfl:
