Boy! First, you're risking the safety of children by not taking them to the drill and now you're serving them liquor?!?!?! And expensive potables at that! :rotfl2: :rotfl:

We will be staying in an airport hotel on Friday night. Last year, I paid $50 for the airport Marriott on Priceline and plan to Priceline it again for this trip. It was a great deal!

Glad to see we're on the first page!

 Good Morning - Just checking to see who stopped by ...

Smiling Mouse - MN - Got it...

Fourfoxes - Providing a sip of the DP to the kids will help them sleep thru the Safety Drill - That way there Mom's can carry them and everybody will be happy! :cool1: You would rather give them coke & ice cream? :scared1:
Of course, listen to me - NO kids ...

Suzanne - COMEBACK!!! We miss you! ...

CujoBugs - Having an interest in things like "sustainable resources" and "social capital" kind of thinking, we could use the Toto hair to tie FLIES for flats-fishing for bonefish. Thanks ... HOWEVER ... There is already enough excess dog hair roaming around ALASKA to create a lifetime supply!
Have you ever seen the home of a dog-sled aficianado?! :faint: :crazy2: Loads of stuff that needs to be "recycled"... :rotfl2:

AmyMouse - How is "Dad" doing? Practicing his "reverse somersault in pike position"?

Well ... Time for my "morning constitutional" to the coffee pot- AGAIN!!!

Have any of you ever cruised in Sept. before? If so, what is the weather like?

SmilingMouse

Have cruised two or three times w/Disney in Sept. As I remember, Wx has been generally pretty nice. WARM & sunny. Many times being very glad to have the shadow of a cloud passing by. Further south, warmer it gets ...

Did have to contend with a hurricane on our last attempt at the Western Cruise. As a result, we ended up doing a "modified" Eastern Cruise. Had a day of intermittent rain to deal with and some winds. My experience is if a Cruise Ship Captain can navigate around a storm, they generally will. If it is just a small tropical shower, they just plow on thru to the other side. they can be quite peasant ... for a few minutes.

If you go to the Weather Channel, you should be able to get a "annual" history for most locations... Will look it up in a little bit...

Alaska

Thank you VERY much!!!! Honestly, I am not too worries about the weather....if bad weather happens, we will deal...I'll look at it as an adventure.

We cruised last year in September and became part of the Hurricane Mean Jean cruise that was shortened from 7 to 5 days. Once we set sail out of Fort Lauderdale, the weather in Cozumel and Costa Maya was gorgeous. Of course, we didn't get to Key West, Grand Cayman or Castaway Cay.

Because of the discount we were given, we booked the same week for this year. What's the chance that a Hurricane will hit the same place exactly one year later? PLEASE DON'T ANSWER :ssst: - I REALLY DON'T WANT TO KNOW!!!

Ok, I won't answer that, lol :)

Thanks for the reply....I'm sure we will have a MAGICAL time :)

Yo Mateys!!! Just checking in ... Need to get to work :guilty:

If you change your minds on Hurricane History ... As a result of past engineering assignment in lower Alabama, I became VERY familiar with that type of information ... Probability may be higher than you want to know :rotfl2:

That link to Cayman Islands is a GREAT site.

:cold: Winter weather has returned!!! :cold: Temps down to the teens. :cold: Snow forecasted thru the weekend. :cold:

Spring storm has rolled in ... Just when I was thniking about washing the winter grime off my car... :rotfl2: Low pressure is predicted to be hanging around for at least a week. Just thought I would make somebody's day.

Had my golf clubs out cleaning them this past weekend too. :confused3

:cold: Looked out the window this morning ~ SNOW!!! :cold:

There was barely enough snow to run the Iditarod. It's over so it decides to snow. Tired of winter ... I'm supposed to go steelhead fishing in two weeks. Do you know how cold it gets standing in a river with snow melt pouring in from the banks? Makes me dream of hot tubs on a DCL ship in the Carib.

Makes me check the COUNTDOWN!!!

So, six months from today, we'll be packed, en route to the airport and all ready to go. Wait a minute...I'm ready to go NOW! Had a little teaser of spring yesterday and, today, back to raw, nasty cold weather. C'mon Spring!

I'm with you...I wish we were closer to the cruise date. I'm really looking forward to spending lots of time in the Quiet Cove pool reading and sipping various adult beverages :)

:bday: :rockband: Okay Gather together on Staurday and all together now, sing Happy Birthday to me!!! :crazy2: BIG 55!!! :scared1: I am now eligible for "senior" rates at the Movies!!! :rolleyes1

Happy Birthday Power Alaska. Although I would rather be saying "happy cruise day". I wish it were here.

You shouldn't have told us when your birthday is because now you can't lie to disney cruise line and tell them it is your birthday during the cruise (just so you can have one of their free cakes). Although I guess you can celebrate your 1/2 birthday on the cruise. :earsboy:

Anyone have a DS10 that we can possibly get chatting online?

 :cool1:

Thanks for the birthday wishes...

CujoBugs - Well, one of us is getting old & feeble ... may be Oldtimers Disease :rolleyes1

Either me for not "lying" to get a free cake or YOU for not knowing how hard it is to get "extra" desserts on a cruise ship!!! :rotfl2: Or were you looking for a piece of my cake? :rotfl2:

Just what my waistline needs - MORE carbs & sugar!!!
