So they pushed the dry dock out a week?? So that would be 2 weeks after our cruise??
I wonder how reliable that version of the story is???
Still hoping no news is good news.......

As I understand it, they didn't push dry dock out a week, they added a week to dry dock. But they didn't add the additional week until after they had already released the sailing schedule and started taking reservations.

O.K. Now that the charter scare has seemed to die down, I don't know about any of you but I am starting to get REALLY excited about the cruise :cool1: :cool1: .
Christmas is over and I'm ready for some WARM SUN :umbrella: :umbrella: :cloud9: :cloud9:
Starting to think about excursions, etc........ watched dcl on the travel chanell again yesterday, that just fed the fire.

Its going to be a LONG 9 months. :cool:

Hi Guys,

I was just on the Allearsnet (Deb's) site just a little while ago and noticed something interesting about our cruise. Deb's site recommends Mouseearsvacations so I clicked on their link to look at the cruise info. Under the Sept. 24 cruise it said "DCL sold out--we still have rooms" or something to that effect. So apparently other cruise outlets still have rooms available
for booking. I guess we are still on our way!

Edited to add: I noticed this date still on allseastravel, as well.

We have officially cancelled our September Cruise. We unfortunately need the money... to pay for our Panama Canal cruise :jumping4:.

We've been telling our selves for the last 9 months that when final payment comes due we would most likely just give up our reservation. But the cancelation of our September 2004 cruise because of the hurricanes and other recent events... We're going!!!

Have fun in September.

Had a call from my TA who placed another call to DCL to find out what (if anything) is going on. They confirmed that we're still sailing as scheduled. 257 days and counting! Woo-Hoo!

I just got off the 1/6 Wonder, and I was able to rebook this cruise while onboard. We already had a reservation through DU, but in order to get the onboard discount and $200 credit, we had to cancel and rebook. We were even assigned a room, so apparently the sailing isn't full yet.

At this point who knows, maybe we will never get the whole story.
All I care about is WE"RE GOING :cool1: :cool1: :cool1:

CAN"T WAIT!!!!!!!!
Being pounded out here on the West coast the last 3 weeks that warm sunny carribean is calling my name :cloud9: :cloud9:

Anyone have any ideas for what they want to do in the various ports?
I'm thinking:
Keywest- rent the golf cart buggy things and tour on our own. DH DEFINATELY will be making a stop in Margarittaville. Maybe Parasailing for DH.

Grand Caymen: Stingray city for sure, can't decide Captain marvins or Native way water sports.

Cozumel: Paradise beach, SHOPPING!!!!!! Dh and DD's are gunning for a tour of the Mayan ruins and pyramids (don't know much about that)

Well, having planned this same trip for 9/25/04, we have a pretty good idea of what we're going to do. Thanks to Hurricane Jeanne, we never got to Key West, Castaway Cay or Grand Cayman, so we've been waiting for a long time to: Visit the Shipwreck/Pirate Museum in Key West, watch the Sunset Celebration, and take the trolley ride around town. I think the kids will enjoy that. In Grand Cayman, we want to just hang on the 7 mile beach. Our DD, who will be 7, will just absolutely freak out at Stingray City. In Cozumel, we want to go to Paradise Beach and/or Chakanaab park. We were lucky enough to visit Cozumel on our Jeanne trip and really enjoyed the Ocean View excursion and the kids liked the Cozumel museum. But I think they enjoyed seeing all the old Volkswagen bugs driving all over the place the most! If anyone has kids who play the "punch buggy" game in the car, it is THE best place to play!!!

Wow for a cruise that was off again on again and they say is chock full, no one wants to post a thing about this sailing! Maybe it is the ghosts of the pirates that fill the ship and Disney just doesn't want to tell anyone. Haven't thought much about this trip as we will be visiting the Mouse the 1st week in February. Maybe it will hit me then just how close this trip really is.

Hope all the fellow Dis'ers are well and are just too busy to post. pirate: princess: princess: princess: princess:

I'm with ya goofysgirl,
Where is everyone else, maybe we are the only Dis'ers on board????????

We're going, but we're also on the May repo cruise so am concentrating on that one right now. :cheer2: Any other May cruisers onboard this one? Looking forward to September one though as it's our fav ports! :banana:

:wave: Hi everyone. I am bummed that the other thread was lost. DH, DS, DD and myself were on the Hrcne Jeanne eastern cruise that was a little crazy and cut short, but so much fun. We are very excited and can't wait to cruise in September. Hoping to move to Florida soon so we will be right near D.W. and that makes me very happy, okay the kids too. I would be more than happy to start a spread sheet with the cruisers names, email address, kids ages etc if anyone wants. Also not sure what all the talk was about but I called Disney and this cruise is still on with no problems. Hopefully the rumor mishap has been straightened out. Talk to all soon.

:banana: :cheer2:
Well - okay then!!! Glad you guys found me just wandering around out here by myself. Wasn't sure what was happening. Will sit down tommorrow and read thru the entire thread. Thanks for inviting us in ... Will chat then ...

:crazy:

:banana:

Good Morning everyone ... Since I am feeling a bit puny today (pneumonia) , I have stayed home to rest and invest my time in reading all of the thread.

Here's my comments - for anyone interseted in listening to a long-winded version - I am NOT always this lengthy - Just catching up...

First, let me introduce ourselves. Dennis :cold: & Chrystina :bride: - No DKids. We live & work in different places at the moment - Alaska/Texas - Using DVC points and lots of airline miles to stay connected. Takes work but it works. 20+yrs together and still happy about it. :lovestruc

Second - Read the discussion about on-off cruise with interest but have to say that I had no problem booking the cruise. I assumed that the limited number of postings and my ability to locate you guys & such had more to do with the school schedules than something else. Although the Dry-dock" discussion made sense. However, I did do a check on a few Cruise Sales websites and all have the 0924 Magic Sailing listed - One site shows availabilty of no less than 7 rooms/category. So whatever happened to you folks must be over - sorry you went thru that. :guilty:

Third - Have "analyzed" the thread and been able to start creating a spreadsheet of information (Frightening when I am bored). Will maintain and distribute if folks want. I have used this information in the past to bring an Alaska "present" for everyone. Usually takes folks to let me know names & numbers, email addresses, etc - whatever folks want to know. ALWAYS with permission of participants ... Kind of go likes this

:grouphug:

Dennis (55)[AK] - Deputy Program Manager - Likes Golf, Flyfishing & Gardening,
~~Chrystina (??)[TX] - Medical Clinic Administrator - Likes Quilting & Sewing
~~NO Disney Kids ...
~~Etc etc - whatever folks agree to contribute

As I look at the info now, I have determined that we have folks from - AK/TX/PA/OR/MD/GA/TN/VA as a minimum ... so I will win the "travelled furthest" classification - Probably the "oldest" too!!! Listing like this also makes for a great "sail-away" party. Worked great for an "adult" dinner on the last cruise too. I will openly admit to a "selfish" motive of looking for someone that Chrystina & I will be able to share a dinner table with - we love to share conversations and the day's activities at dinner time!!! Being at a "table for two" is not our style. If you want me to do this let me know.

Okay & finally since folks are always interested in other folks Disney trips, here is where we have wandered off to or plan to go to:

~~~Completed~~~
94,95,96,96 - OKW
97 - Vero
98,98,98 - HHI,HHI,OKW(Xmas)
02 - Western Cruise turned Eastern (Hurricane)
05 - Vegas (Cancun Resort - Passport Collection)
~~~Upcoming & Planned~~~
05 - Wilderness Lodge & Western Cruise (Sep)
06 - Belize & Costa Rica (Passport Collection)
07 - Serengeti?

That should be probably more than most of you want to know!!!

Look forward to chatting with you. And remember ... active postings keep us at the top of the thread list which helps new folks find us!!!
