Hi Dennis and Chrystina! Remember us, your tablemates from 2002? Glad to hear you are cruising again. We went 10/03,10/04, and will sail again 10/06. So Chrystina is no longer in Alabama? Does she like Tx.?
Enjoy your cruise. We loved the Western. Hope those hurricanes stay away this year.
Avé, Mark, Mary, and Casey

Hi, Dennis! Can't wait until our Sept. Magic Cruise! :cool1: This will be our first Disney cruise and only our second cruise of any kind. Our last cruise was when our youngest was a baby and he is now 21! So you can see it has been awhile. We raised our kids going to WDW every other year or so. Now DH & I make several trips a year either just the two of us or with now larger extended family in tow. We will be traveling just the two of us for the cruise and celebrating our 30th wedding anniversary, so I don't know if you will be the oldest on board! :earseek: As you have already figured out we are the couple from GA. It's very nice to meet you!

:cool1:

Hi Ave!!! After our cruise, I went back to Alaska and finished the project I was working on and then moved back to Alabama. That only lasted about six months before I was offered a project I couldn't turn down - plus a promotion. So ... packed my bags and off I went. Then Chrystina was offered a Hospital Administrator job in El Paso that she REALLY wanted ... SO ... The rest is history ... Sold the Bama Plantation and moved to a Desert Domain. She is enjoying herself and likes it there. Me - well at the moment, I have pneumonia and feel pretty much like crap. But will be going steelhead fishing next month and probably practicing my golf swing the month after. Not to far on the horizon may be my retirement ... or at least temporarily.

Hopefully we will not run into any hurricanes this time - Best to all

 Well, if you want to be the "elder", you are welcome to it. I will not fight you for the title. :rolleyes1 Looking forward to this cruise. Have been on a few and enjoyed them all. Will look forward to helping you enjoy your 30th anniversary celebration. If you have not been to the Grand Cayman before, let me recommend the StingRay City tour. Lotsa fun. Course, then again, I love the water and wildlife. We have not yet figured out what we plan to do at the ports yet, but there is still some time left.

Meanwhile Y'ALL Take Care now Y'Hear!!! My BamaGirl secretary from Fairhope Alabama taught this "not too smart" New England Yankee how to speak "southern", so it'aint my folt if I talk strange!!! :shamrock:

Look forward to future chats!!!

Dennis

Welcome Dennis,
Sorry to hear your under the weather, have many friends with the same ailment :guilty: :guilty: Hope your up and around soon :dancer:

Glad you have joined our thread, I have to say its been a while since I have visited myself. I hope we see a few more people.

Great work you have done compiling a list with what little you have to go on.
We are always happy to have table mates, Dh is the extravert and is always making friends everywhere we go. I just go along for the ride  .
You and Dw are welcome to join our family if thats possible.
Dh travels the 13 western states including Tijuana and Canada, so we are also familiar with the seperation you have from DW. For some people it works, and I say more power to um. :cheer2: :cheer2:

We are getting excited about the upcoming trip, wishing it were sooner.

DD's are already scoping out the wardwrobe they want to buy for the cruise.
Girls :bitelip: were always looking for a reason to shop

I have a soft spot for southerners, Dh is a French Cajun who's father hailed from New Orleans.

Enjoy your steelhead folks are getting ready for the run here also.

Hope to enjoy more chats in the months to come,
Our thread got a little stale for a while,
Lets keep it alive,
Kim

BTW.........that countdown is great,
Although looking at the bigger numbers is depressing :sunny:

You MUST have had A LOT of time on your hands :rotfl: :rotfl:

 Thanks for the welcome & sympathy. Fortunately, I caught it just as it was developing, so with a little rest and "better living thru chemicals", I should be up & moving shortly. Being a little bit gregarious myself, I suppose your DH & I will at least keep a convesration going ... Now whether we say anything of worth ... well. :rolleyes1

Glad you like my countdown - Small program that I have counting lotsa things. Makes for an easy data transfer too. If the big numbers (seconds) make it look like a long time, just watch the numbers drop!!!

Well back to bed - Will check back tommorrow...
Keep the chatter going - Stay up on the thread!!!

4,897 hours (3,265 waking hours) or
293,856 minutes or

Reduction of approx 125000 Seconds since my last report!!!

Dennis

:confused3 Okay - Is there a shortage of folks on this cruise? :confused3

Where is everybody & how come no one wants to talk? Staying on top of the Forum Thread takes postings ~ chatter :hyper2: :chat: :hyper2:

 :Pinkbounc :cheer2: :bounce:

You want more chatter? You got it! :teeth:

My Dad and I will be joining your little "party" as well. This will be my 7th DCL cruise and the Dad's 4th. :cool1:

We were originally booked on the April 30 Eastern, but I had to rebook because of some travel insurance issues that could only be remedied by rebooking. So, here we are. Lucky you!

 Well Good Morning AmyMouse!!! And to your Dad too.

How old is Dad? Kcatoir and I were competing for title of "old fart" but I think I am out of the running. No disrespect intended ... I truly believe in the Wolf Credo of "respect your elders & teach the young"...

Seven Cruises! Wow! Does not cease to amaze me how many folks are addicted to the WDW & DCL thing. My family thinks we are crazy but so what!!! Meanwhile, I keep up my WanderingWays! :moped: Travel from Alaska to Florida so that I can make a trip to Central America. Obviously I forgot that lesson about "shortest distance between two points".

:Pinkbounc So have you been on the West Carib before? Recommendations on Cozumel? Have been looking at the Xcaret excursion. It appears to get some good reviews. Comments?

:rolleyes1 OBTW - Love Dry Humor - Lucky US, I am sure!!!

:jumping1: And for all those who were curious, besides today being the "offical" start of the Iditarod Sled Dog Race (2:00pm AST).

It is now Sunday 3/6/2005 at 8:04:51 AM and there are 6 months 18 days 8 hours 55 minutes 9 seconds or
28 weekends or
202 days or
4,856 hours (3,237 waking hours) or
291,415 minutes or
17,484,908 seconds

left until the Magic disembarks... A reduction of approximately 146000 seconds since my last report.

See Kcatoir doesn't that BIG number feel good? :hourglass

Dennis

I regret to inform you, but there's a very good chance that you both have lost the "old fart" contest. Dad is 77 years old (and quite gassy). ;)

We've never been on the Western before. We did the Eastern last year, and all our other cruises have been on the Wonder. So this will ALL be new for us. :sunny:

Well, I shouldn't say this will ALL be new. The Magic was the first ship from which I ever threatened to push the Dad off the verandah, and now it's a cruise tradition!! Ahhh, the walk down memory lane will be so sweet. :p

 - You understand that if you throw Dad from the verandah when the ship is moving out of sight of land and over ten knots that it increases the degree of difficulty in his diving points right?

Does Dad play cribbage or backgammon? Can always use a skilled opponent.

Dennis

The real test of skill is to know which jurisdiction you're in when you perform this feat. I'd rather not spend the rest of my life in a mexican jail!

:bounce: Good point Amy - Have been to Grand Cayman - Very Nice - You might want to consider British colonies ... :Pinkbounc
