Deanna and Julie, I'm so jealous of both of you! I don't want you to go make new friends!

I've been dryer shopping all day today. My dryer quit working while we were gone on the cruise. I went to 5 stores today, and no one had anything reasonable in stock. They said because of the hurricanes, everyone is replacing their flooded out washers and dryers and they don't have hardly anything in stock. They want to order and wait. I explained to them that I have wet laundry in the washer and mounds of cruise clothes that need to be washed and I need one NOW! So hopefully tomorrow, will be my lucky day. Lowes about 25 miles away tells me they have some, hopefully by the time I get there tomorrow, they will still have one.

Gotta get ready for Briley's soccer game tonight! Check in later!

Deanna - Glad to hear that your pictures are OK. Sorry to hear about your cameras. I grabbed a couple of pictures of you and your daughter at the Walk the Plank game show.

Deanna and Julie - This afternoon, I just spent some time researching the price for the week we rebooked for. I found Dreams Unlimited to be the cheapest - they'd save us $230 over the Disney 10% off price we got onboard. Supposedly, you can transfer your reservation to them, still get the $200 onboard credit and the cheaper D.U. price. I also checked with allseastravel, themouseforless, cruisequick.com, cruise.com, smallworldvacations, cruisesonly.com and my cruisevalue.com. I'm not a Costco member so I wasn't able to check with them but hope you guys get a good deal. I still am toying around with January 07 so don't want to call D.U. just yet (or be a traitor and post to another thread )

Ingrid - Hope you get a call about your bracelet. They had TUBS of lost and found stuff where we retrieved our luggage and each item had a slip of paper where it was found. If the items weren't picked up, the cast member told me they make an effort to call the person who stayed in the room. So, if you lost it in the room, I'm very hopeful they will call you.

Marsha - PLEASE do get in touch with us when you come to PA to visit Thayer's sister in Lititz. You don't know just how close we are. Meredith would love to see little Lora again.

Bill - Thanks for the offer to put pictures online. I have not yet figured out how to send pictures with this new software but hope to get Brian's help tomorrow so I can send them out to you soon.

It's 7:36...time for the kids to go to the Oceaneer's Club!!

Julie ~ I don't have a timeline yet. That is a good question. My thoughts are as follows:

1. The best way to send the photos is on a CD through the mail. This allows you to start with the best quality, avoiding the trap of compressing down for email and losing quality.

2. In order to get this done while we're all still excited about it I think that getting them sent within a month might be important. I think Dave might feel the same way if he is compiling a disk from the same materials.

3. I'm visualizing the site as a front page with links to each contributor: cujobugs pictures, poweralaska pictures, etc. You could then click on a contributer and arrive at their "thumbnails page", and clicking a thumbnail would open a large version of the picture.

4. If these are all pictures we each feel comfortable sharing, then a copy of the final CD could go out to each contributor with the added benefit that there would be a printable quality version of each photo on the disk.

This is just a fun keepsake, not an ambitious design project. I envision the website as being simple and straight forward, using some of the automatic scripts in Photoshop for creating "web galleries" from folders of photos.

Today was the funeral. Even though we "do not mourn as those who have no hope", this was still very sad and painful, and your support has been a great comfort.

Bill - This sounds great! I can't wait to see all of the pictures. I took my memory stick to Costco today and had them print about 250 pictures for me and to also put them on a disk. I shall send the disk to you asap. Thanks again for doing this! It will be great to relive the trip through everyone else's eyes as well.

Bill, David, Didi, and Kathy- I know you have had such a hard day dealing with the loss. May you somehow find comfort and peace in this loss! I am so truly sorry for you! Funerals bring back so many great memories of the one you have lost.

Julie- Yes I did get a quote from Dana at MICDAN. I can't seem to find my paperwork on it. But it seems she quote me around $130 less than Disney. Something like that! I was really impressed with her on the phone. I still haven't transferred the ressie yet though as I wanted to research some more. It sounds like according to Jamie that I need to quote Dreams too. I will do that tonight. I will go look for my paperwork!

Brother Wart Hog -- our thoughts and prayers were (and still are) with you/DiDi/Patrick the whole time, and it was great to see your reflections on life.

Ingrid/Gringo -- we too did not know until now but will include you in our thoughts/prayers as well.

Alright, now on to happier things...

To put it in a nutshell -- WE HAD A FANTASTIC TIME! Not the least of which was getting to meet so many of y'all. It was refreshing to come back here to this thread and be able to associate faces with posts. Now we just got to get down to the decision of when our next Disney cruise is gonna happen.

We got back from WDW around lunchtime today... we've begun the unpacking/laundry process, but I've got this sneaking suspicion that our clothes have been multplying like rabbits when our backs are turned as there seems to be twice as many now as there was when we were heading out! Had a great time though -- Mac really liked being able to see giraffes and bush pigs out his window and I had a blast watching Kudu and Bongos close up.

Did someone say pictures? Yeah, we got pictures -- SIX HUNDRED FIFTY SOMETHING PICTURES! Season used up her 1 GB memory card, and I used up my 512 MB one along with my starter card.

I'm very sorry to hear about your grandmother. I hope she's comfortable. Yes, there's been more than this board's share of loss and sadness. I still think of everyone during these sad days.

We think we're going to try for the 1/13/07 sailing. I'd looove to get a SPH room for that trip. I have no idea where it will be going....but it's Martin Luther King holiday weekend and the kids won't have school on Monday so they'd only be out 4 days instead of 5. Every day helps. The kids do have a bunch of time off in March or April around Easter but the cost is just too high for us to consider it. Same with summer.

OR, we'll change to the Saturday after Thanksgiving '06. That's the Eastern that I got prices for. I'm still waiting for Dana to send me a quote via email to see if she can beat D.U. for that week. I guess my rate from D.U. is so cheap because it's one of their "featured" weeks in their ad at the bottom of the board? They must have blocked a bunch of rooms. I'm glad that those two dates are out of hurricane range, although, I'd be fretting about snow in January preventing us from getting to the airport...

Jamie - I know what you mean about missing school. I would love for Bailey to not have to miss 5 days. The Martin Luther King Day time is a good idea. I am also waiting for our school to post their 06-07 calendar so I can go off of that to lessen the days missed.

For everyone's info...I am STILL dizzy. It's kind of hard to believe, but I guess it will eventually end.
