When we opened the door to our house a little multi-colored streak flashed across the floor to my feet. I immediately scooped up Barney and hugged him, then handed him to Didi, who did the same, and she in turn handed him to Patrick.

Barney has been the happiest cat in the world this past day. He's been using his entire cat vocabulary on us and purring himself silly.

(We were equally relieved to be with him again)

Deanna and Ingrid (Joyce) ~ Patrick had a very similar nagative opinion of the kids' club. Hmmmm... it calls for some thinking.

Bill

Welcome home, Ingrid!

Is anyone still left in Orlando partying?

Our cat has also given us lots of love and vocabulary since returning!

Bill- Is your Dad's funeral over also?

Yes, the kid's clubs, hmmmm. More later on that one!

Deanna

Ingrid - Hugs to you as well. Sorry to hear of your loss. :grouphug:

Bailey didn't like the club either. She only went 2 times and when we picked her up, she seemed happy, but didn't want to go back. They let Jack try the club even though he was 3 months too young. Anyway, he didn't like it. They said he cried for 40 minutes!!!! Clint and I were in the Rasul and we left the pager with the lady at the front desk of the spa. She called the club and they said he was finally starting to stop so she didn't come get us. So, Clint and I got a whole hour to ourselves! Long story short - my kids didn't like the club either.

We did rebook on board for the Sept.30 2006 date as well. I am pretty sure we will end up changing it to several years down the road though. But I am kind of thinking along Deanna's lines about trying Royal Caribbean though. If the kids are hang out with us anyway, we might as well try something else.
Who knows.

Again - LOVED meeting everyone. I feel so lucky that we met you all.

Kim, Warren, Molly and Brittany (spelling?) - my kids are still talking about you all. We miss you! I need Jack's favorite babysitters to move to Kansas!! Did you guys end up going to Blizzard Beach?

Deanna - I have not looked for the sept. 30 thread yet, but I will soon.

Julie

p.s. our kitty, Molly, was happy to see us as well!!!! :cloud9:

David - Meant to tell you - yep - I have the full blown post-cruise cold. I am just happy it didn't get too bad until we got back home. And no, I do NOT have my land legs back. I have been rocking and running into things around here - and I haven't even been to a tequila tasting today! Hee hee!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Thanks, Prima! :teeth:

We're Back! Unpacked sort of, but lots of laundry to do! Got home today around 4:00. We stayed one night at WDW before driving home today.

First let me say, Bill and Didi, Joyce and Darren, I am so sorry for your losses. Joyce told me about her Brother on Friday evening. Bill you did a wonderful job of putting a smile on your face. Chad and I enjoyed chatting with ya'll in the hot tub on Thursday. Our prayers will be with you both as you get through the next couple of days.

I enjoyed getting to meet you all so much! We had an awesome time on our cruise. Chad commented that he thought it was our best vacation ever. I was grateful that we cruised with Keri and Ethan, which allowed us a little time to do Palo brunch and dinner alone. My kids were split on the kids clubs. Briley didn't seem to want to go to the lab. Holland liked the club, but only went maybe 3 times. We seemed to have so much to do that there just wasn't time to do everything. Maybe if they could have been together it might be different. We will probably go again in a couple of years when Addison is 4 and can go to the club, and do the mickey slide (which was a huge disappointment to her not to be able to go down). Every time I would go to the beverage station she would say "I want to go down that slide, mommy!" She did get to do some slides at Blizzard Beach yesterday, which she loved! Didn't see Warren and Kim, not sure if they made it there or not. The weather got ugly a few times and we had to sit and wait for the park to reopen the rides twice.

Deanna and Julie- don't you know that ROYAL CARRIBEAN is nasty dirty fighting words on this board! :teeth: Just kidding, but I'm not ready to try another cruise line yet! But if they ever start cruising out of Mobile, then I might reconsider. Deanna, where would you sail out of with RC?

I felt great yesterday, but have a fought a headache today, and I am really dizzy. Briley said her throat hurt this morning and I gave her some allergy medicine in the car on the way home. I told her that I didn't care if she had strep, she was going to school tomorrow, no matter what! ;) Everyone else seems well at this point, hopefully it will stay that way! Well I need to get some sleep, gotta get back to the grind tomorrow!

Oh and one more thing, Prima, Julie, Deanna, if you have any pictures of our kids together, I would love to have a copy. If they are digital, you can just email them to me. I'm not sure what I ended up with on my camera.

Hi Deanna ~ Monday night is the wake, and Tuesday morning the funeral. The family is currently gathering. Thanks for asking.

I'm really glad to see people checking in here. We had hardly been introduced when a (mostly) wonderful week was over. Our friendship to you all. :grouphug:

There's no place like home... no place like home...

Didi should be posting tomorrow morning.

Bill :wave2:

bill Dean and I send continued thoughts and prayers to you and your family. Remember what my daughter said 'bout my Dad re: the shooting star, "he must be an angel up there with God" I'm sure yours is there, too.

Joyce same thoughts and prayers extended your way too :grouphug:

Erin don't have all the pics developed yet but will email you what I've got

Dean and I wish to thank all of you. Y'all truly helped make this one of the best vacations. :grouphug:

Good Morning All. :sunny:

Barney's in my lap right now, giving me lots of love and purring so loud that he might wake up the rest of the clan.

Ingrid, sending you a big hug. You and your family will be having some rough times in the next few days. I'll be praying. Today, I've got some running around to do. I've got to hit BJ's and pick up desserts and drinks for after the funeral. Patrick is out of school til Wednesday. Here's another hug from the family to yours. :grouphug: Tell your hubby I miss not running into him in the morning. :teeth: Didn't see many of you early birds out there. :rotfl2:

Food consumption has been lowered to normal. How long does it take to shake off 30 extra pounds? :rotfl2:

Well, here's my take on the kids club.... Patrick told me he didn't like it at all. When we went to pick him up he was the last to leave and didn't want to leave at all. :confused3 The day they planned to make flubber, he ran all the way to the club. :confused3 I had my aerobic session just running after him. :rotfl2: Mind you it was on a very full stomach. :rotfl: His comment had nothing to do with the counsulers at all. He proceeded to tell my sister and BIL that he liked it, but what he wanted most of all is to spend time with us. Patrick missed us and the top of his vacation wish list was to just hang out with his mommy and daddy. I think that is what everychild wants, just to have mommy and daddy's undivided attention 100% of the time. So basically, I'm planning on another cruise with DISNEY,but will plan to spend more time with Patrick. It's rather tough on me working and than trying to cram in as much time with my little guy. I can see his point, since he loves us, he wants to be with us.

Deanna, shame on you, another cruise line. ;) How can you plan another vacation with out us. :teeth: I'm hooked on Disney. We are actually checking into the Disney Vacation Plan. We just love going to everything Disney.

Well the coffee pot needs to be put on. I'm going to catch a few quite moments before I wake up the boys.

Erin, Bill and I came down with a sore throat also earlier in the cruise. Thank goodness we had the Zpack with us. I'm wondering if it had to do with the the hot air than the air conditioning. Get better soon. By the way we also enjoyed hanging out with you Thursday night. So little time to get to know everyone, wish the cruise could have lasted a month. :teeth:

Time to get myself rolling. Talk to ya'all later. See I'm practicing my southern drawl. :moped:

:faint: There's no place like home... no place like home... no place like home...

Huh? Oh! Auntie Em! Burt! Sam! Tom! :sunny:

I just had the most amazing dream! Auntie Em, you were there! And Burt, you were a lion! And Sam, you were a tin man! And Tom, you were my favorite! And Barney, :paw: you were a horse of a different color!

There were 2 terrible hurricanes, and then we ended up on on a huge boat! :boat:
And Mr. Simpson down the road, he was the captain, Lawrence Welk. :wizard:

We landed in a strange place called Key West :drinking: :rockband: :drinking1 And everybody had all these sandals!
And they took the Ruby sandals from the feet of a very strange man in Key West and put them on my feet! :earseek:

And there all these flying rays that chased us around a pirate island! pirate:

And strange small people in a place called Mexico kept adding zeros to their numbers whenever we walked to a cash register!

And all the people on the strange islands kept trying to take all out money!

And there was a terrible cribbage tournament for the control of the world! :maleficen :scared1:

And there were all these wonderful people we met who came from Oregon and Kansas and Alberta and California and Texas and Alabama and so many other places! And then we ate and ate and ate until we couldn't stand it any more! :jumping1: :rockband: :dancer: :dancer: :thewave:

And when we all became fat Captain Welk sent us home again!

And it was all so strange,
and well...

there's no place like home. :goodvibes

Good morning everyone! Feel like I've been run over by a train this morning. Got the girls off to school, we were all dragging. I don't think that I'm getting a cold, just having a hard time getting rid of my sea legs. I really would like to lay down for a nap! I still have to go get the dog from the kennel. They were closed yesterday, so she's still there. Hopefully they taught her some manners while she was there! :dog2: ;) She starts obedience training next week.

Julie, I pm'd you my email, and Prima thanks too!

Well I need to go give that laundry pile some attention. I just wish I could figure out where that little omelet making man went! :confused3 :rotfl2: Back to the bowl of frosted flakes, what a rude awakening! :)

oh and P.S., that 5 pounds that took me 2 months to lose, guess what "IT'S BACK!"

I haven't been brave enough to step on the scale yet.

Last night while I was looking in our empty fridge trying to make dinner out of nothing, I asked Chantel what she wanted for supper. She starts by saying "well..for an appetizer, I want....". I said "Hold it! We are home now! No appetizer, soup and salad OR dessert anymore! Four-course dinners are history!" :rotfl2:

We're finally home and settling back into "real" life (although 5 pounds heavier!) It was such a wonderful week, even with the torrential rain in Cozumel and DD losing her breakfast on the public bus in Grand Cayman! And did anyone else almost break their necks at the Goofy pool or am I just extra clumsy? The kids haven't stopped talking about their new friends, especially Chase, Dakota and Little Lora. Wondering when they'll see them again. And we're so happy to have met everyone else as well! :disrocks:

So funny after we returned to the airport, a group of us decided to have lunch at the airport Chili's. Right beside our table was Amy (one of the Activities Directors). She was DS's absolute favorite and he was just tickled to see her one last time. She was off to London for a two week vacation. She already had done a dry-dock and was "excused" from a second.

I saved two chocolates from bedtime turndown and plan to put them on the kids' pillows tonight.

My kids absolutely LOVED the clubs this time. DD wanted to spend so much time there we had to "argue" with her to come to the shows and family activities with us at night. By Thursday, we just gave up and let her go have the fun that she wanted to have. DS enjoyed it much more than he did last year although he liked doing the family things a lot too. We were SO impressed with Mary from Australia in the Club who looked at Meredith and asked if she was Spencer's sister. She remembered him from a year ago! I don't know if they get lists of kids who will be onboard but it really shocked us.

It sure was hard getting everyone off this morning. Lots of coffee and dreams of another trip. We rebooked for next October just to guarantee the 10% off and $200 credit but I'm pretty sure we're going to change the date. Now that Spencer is getting older, it's tough to take off 5 days of school. Need to find an inservice day or two to work around.

Didi's Family and Ingrid/Gringo - Please know that the Foxes are thinking of you and wish you peace and loving memories of your loved one. :grouphug:

We're back. Got home about 3pm PST yesterday. Long day of travel, started at 4am. Needless to say Brittney fell asleep on the couch at 5:30pm, dad carried her to bed. Molly followed at 7pm. I was asleep by 7:30.......

Ingrid, Gringo (sorry still stuck on those names), Didi and Bill, all our sympathies are with you your in our thoughts and prayers :grouphug:

We had a WONDERFUL time getting to know soo many of you. Sorry I couldn't get to know everyone more.

Julie: My girls are still talking about Jack and Bailey. At BB Saturday molly said" jack and bailey would have lots of fun here" :goodvibes

Erin Yes we were at BB Saturday, I kept my eye out for you. Do your feet and legs hurt as much as ours??? :guilty: It was go go go go go go.....DD's were complaining as they kicked us out at 6pm.... :rotfl: LOTS of fun. Didn't appreciate the weggies though :rotfl2:

Didi, yes we are having out Grand Cayman Blue Mountain this am. YUMMY!!!!!

Deanna: My DD's didn't like the clubs either. They said it was boring. They did enjoy the PJ party though. 5min into our Palo, Brittney pages us and wants to leave....aarrrggghhhh. Warren went down and let her into the room to watch movies.

Can you say I"M STILL FULL!!!! I am very afraid of the scale.

Ingrid yes our cupboards are bare too. I'm off to the Grocery as soon as I can get dressed.

Thanks to everyone for making our vacation even better. Don't know when we will go again, will need to go when girls are out of school. That home work on the way home was the pitts. Deanna's descriptio of RCC was intriging.

Got to go
Thanks Again
Everyone please keep in Touch.

Lora was fine at the kids club as long as some one was with her, she didn't want me to leave. I think the other children crying bother her, even with me there she would look at them and have a sad face on.

Jamie, Lora is still looking at pictures and the other two she really gets excited about is your DD she yells my FRIEND and mickey mouse. Maybe next year we will go see Thayer's sister and we can get together.

Bill, DiDi, Joyce and Darrel I am very sorry about your lose your all in my prays.
DiDi once everything settles down give me a call and I can get the Series 7 stuff to you.

My next trip in about 3 years will be Disney World think DD will be ready for that then.

Well I did my laundry on the ship so I was unpacked by 7pm Saturday, yesterday was getting hubby ready for new job, nephews Football game, Getting some film developed and Groc. Shopping.

Now I am back at work and the other girl called out sick so I must work.

Chat later, it was great meeting everyone WOOO HOOO niko sandels.

Hello to all,

Didi - as expressed on the ship; my sincerest condolences to you and your family.

Ingrid/Gringo - I didn't know and you have my sympathies as well.

You will all be in my prayers.

I was sort of glad to get home -with the exception of having to cook again! UGH! Wonder how long I can get away with burgers and chicken fingers, etc. :rotfl: It'll be hard enough explaining to my kids that dessert is not an everyday occurence now! ::MickeyMo

I have traveled with Royal Carribean and I thought they were fantastic. This was quiet a few years ago, and honestly I liked Disney just as much. Keep in mind with the kids clubs that after 9PM they charge you per child per hour to keep them later. At least that's the way it was when I cruised last. That is why I thought Disney was so great. They really seemed to keep the parents in mind as much as the children. My kids loved the kids club. My DS - 5 (Chase) beeped me quite a few times but for no other reason than he wanted to be with me. It had nothing to do with the club or counselors. I thought they were all very nice - although no one was exceptional or stood out to me.

I too, am sorry I didn't get to meet or get to know more of you. I may cruise Disney again in 2007 but who know what my life will bring. My boyfreind is talking about marriage and my divorce is now likely to be complete by the end of the month - latest! Yipee!! :goodvibes

I hope to keep in touch with those of you I was able to get to know better. We'll be sharing photos via e-mail so feel free to share them with the group as well.

Till next time,

Hey everyone!
Glad to hear everyone is returning home. Sorry to hear of the weight gain. Ugh.
I knew I would get in trouble for mentioning the RCCL! How dare I!
McEntee's- I will be thinking of you a lot tonight because of the wake. I am so very sad for you. I have never lost a Dad. But I lost my Mom last year to breast cancer. There is never anyone to replace a parent.
partyelf- I didn't know you were thinking about marriage. Ooh la la!
Bill- enjoyed the dream!
I currently have no photos to share as my digital landed in the surf at Castaway Cay. So did my brand new video camera. So far no luck with power! Ugh.
By the way, my entire family came down with horrible colds today. It must have been from the ship. As everyone else seems to have the same problem!
Catch ya later. Deanna

Gee, I just posted on the Sept. 30, 2006 thread. I felt like I've cheated on all of you! Can you ever forgive me?!
