cujobugs - great photo :)

Don't you guys ever go to bed around here? Everyone is busy chatting tonight.
I'm still contemplating my Grand Cayman decision. :confused3

Okay ~ Anybody want to go whitewater rafting with me & my friends? Guess who is in the white helmet? :rotfl: Class IV Rapids & NEVER lost the paddle. BOY that water was cold!!! :cold:

Can you believe I have a pilot's license too!!! :sad2:

Chrystina  thinks she has better odds with my life insurance so she doesn't "invest" in Lottery tickets!!! :rolleyes1

Dennis

Deanna - It's early in Alaska

bpicard - there you go

It has been a bit "chatty" tonight ... BUT that is a good thing!!! :grouphug:

Signing off now - Take care

After many hours of researching this one simple excursion, I have decided to stay with my shorter excursion with Capt. Marvin. This seems to work with my families schedule the best, only because our group is splitting up for that day. Our times to get back together again work best if I stay with the shorter excursion. Especially with a 4 year old. I don't think the one extra coral reef stop is worth it, as I think the 4 year old will not be too willing to get in the water anyway.
So someone else will need to volunteer to link the reservations.

Good Morning....yawn :sunny:

Must make the coffee, must make the coffee. I love  the picture of Lilo!!! I just want to squeeze her and take her home with me. Erin can you pack her up and bring her on the cruise. I'll bring Barney and you bring Lilo they can be the cruise mascotts; we can dress them up in disney costumes and no one will ever know!!! :) ;)

Great pictures Dennis :cool1:, my DH and I have done the white water rafting in Penobscot Maine, separately prior to marriage. I loved it! Try to not knock yourself off prior to the cruise, I need to crush you in cribbage! :rotfl2: If your lovely DW :love2: doesn't do you in for the insurance then I'll be expecting you to be ready to be destroyed in backgammon too!!! pirate: :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Everyone was very chatty last night. That is a good thing :goodvibes :goodvibes !! Now I must go have that wonderful quiet time. :cloud9:

I'll see you all later! :wave2:

Someone asked about Palo reservations.........

DW and I plan to go Sunday night. Of course I won't know until I can reserve it. Is it 75 days yet?!

Our thoughts were we wanted to go to Palo's when:
1. Not formal night (Mon)- we wanted to be in main dining room - hopefully Lumiere's- we wanted to see formal night done Disney style
2. Not on semi-formal night (Thu)- ditto but this may be alternative night
3. Not on pirate night (Wed)- hopefully in Parrot Cay- best place for pirate party
4. Not on Cozumel night (Wed)- after Tulum trip we are likely to be tired. An 8:30 pm dinner that night might be ideal for us to recharge
5. Preferably earlier in the cruise so kid's will not be bored with their club times yet. Since Disney will be baby sitting our kids so we can have a "date" in Palo's it will be importat that kids are entertained for a while.
6. Preferably we would not like to miss any Animator Palate meals- family has seen it on Travel Channel and can't wait to eat there.

If we do have the APL rotation- Disney says we won't find out until we board, then the best date night for us appears to be Sunday. Now all you CC member don't go and change your reservations.....just kidding. I hope this helps. (BTW Disney confirmed on the phone my reservation was linked "to a lot of people." Dennis I can't see it online, unless I just don't know how. You might try to call as well.)

I am a engineering project manager by profession. Can you tell yet? I drive my family crazy with all my planning. But then they look back and realize how much we do and appreciate it.

We have reservations at the Radision at the Beach but.....

We are getting into Orlando at 10:35am. DW and I could not resist going to MK even if it is only for 6-8 hours. Going to have a late lunch with Cinderella in the castle (SHHHHHHH dont tell DD7). After a early day of travel (getting kids up at 4:30am CDT) and a day at the MK, it sure would be nice to stay at WDW. We have wanted to check out Pop Century. I one day stay there would be ideal.

HOWEVER..........

The space shuttle launch window for Atlantis is 9/9 thru 9/24. Does anyone else know that yet? Can you imagine watching a shuttle launch from the ship! Ok now that you have dreamed with me, its still way too early to tell. If NASA has their way it will launch early in the window not late like I want. Maybe I could call GW Bush. He's from Texas like me surely he will understand........jk. Ok the point being is IF the shuttle is going to launch on 9/23 or 9/24, our plans will change and I rather be staying at the port.

So I may make a reservation both places now and priceline later if I want to go cheap.

What do you all think?

Larry

If I understand postings the boys club includes:

10-12 year old club
kb1esx/ David has DS12
tx_disney_fan has DS10

8-9 year old club
kb1esx/ David has DS9
mcentee- Didi has DS8

If any other boys are out there please let me know.

Does anyone know how strict Disney is on the ages of the clubs? I know my DD7 will miss DS10. They are homeschooled kids so they spend a LOT of time together.

Larry

Good morning all. I finally got caught up on my sleep. I think I slept a good 12 hours last night. Dennis’ “rented kid” still beats the record, but with the week I had I’m up for the competition! With the amount of stress :earseek: I’m going through at work lately, I need this trip TOMORROW. I think I’m going to start echoing David with the “are we there yet?”

We won’t be doing a stingray excursion. DD doesn’t have an issue with it. But I do! :scared1:
Even envisioning Mr Ray doesn’t help either. He scared me in the movie too!
We are going on the glassbottom/butterfly farm tour. Does anyone know how far it is from the where we get off the ship to Captain Marvin’s office?

Hi Larry. No DS here, except, like kcatoir said, a big guy that forgot to grow up. :rotfl: That would be SOOO exciting to see a shuttle launch on the ship! Keep us updated!

ErinC – hope everything is ok with you down there. I got the PM. DD will be responding later today.

Great pictures, Dennis! I bet the water was cold! :cold: You’re probably still trying to warm yourself up! I’ve never done white water rafting. Hope to sometime in the Rockies.

Well didn't we have a busy night?!!! :grouphug: At this rate, we will soon pass the 1k posting mark! Especially now that Larry has come out of the closet!!!

Morning Larry - Will check my records and see if I can confirm "Boy's Club" numbers - there does appear to be more femme fatales though!! :cool1: Have an MS in Engineering Management. What industry and/or specialty do you work in? Construction, Process, Systems, Logistics, other? Will probably have a few things to talk about as I rest between cribbage conquests over DIDI. :rolleyes1 Have taken off from Cape Canaveral 3 or 4 times now. Closest we got to Space Shuttle launch was 2 days. Would be nice!!!

Good Morning DIDI NOT to worry, I just recently lowered my life insurance, premiums were going up too fast for the payback. Of course, I didn't lower the insurance on Chrystina  Hehehe :smooth: That was my first time on that river. Have never done the Penobscot but have done rivers in BC, WA, AK, CO and NZ. NOT the first time I have fallen in. Have done a lot of river-fishing float trips too, haven't knocked myself off yet - In other words, there will be NO reprieve from my cribbage conquest!!! :love2:

ERIN/DIDI - NO dressing the pets up in costumes!!! :sad2: Kids? Okay! Must have something to blackmail them with when they get older. :rotfl: Just cannot handle the thought of Barney being dressed up like Stitch? :rotfl2: Socrates would definitely have a "tude" if I tried something like that.

Guys - Thanks for checking the Dinner links. Kim, if you PM the ionfo, I will call and get that done. Will ask about the APL rotation and windows too. Anything else?

Well, off for coffee and lots of chores ~ Leave for ELP soon where Chrystina  reports the temps have been hanging around 100-110 for days. I suspect that by Sept I should have a pretty good base tan.

Speaking of that ...

Event: DVC MAGIC Cruise

Dennis

Have just had a thought (NO Remarks!). :rotfl2:

Approaching the 1k posting mark. Any newbie lurkers out there who come in under the 1k mark can choose to take the BVP Baton :wizard: from DIDI or leave it with her. How is that for incentive??? :teeth:

PLUS ~ Don't forget the Alaska "suprises"!!!

As they say on TV ~~~ "COME ON DOWN" ~~~

Sure that everyone here would like to make you WELCOME!!! :grouphug:

Dennis

Hi All,

How do you see if the dining reservations are linked?

I think I may have to wait for the 75 day mark?

I'll link all the Captin Marvins stuff together if no one else volunteers.

David

Mornin' Everyone--

Larry-don't know anything about the space shuttle launch timing, sorry. I have stayed at Pop 3x and I really like it. It's very convenient to the parks, esp MGM. If you haven't already done so, make sure you get a PS for Cindy's. I've had lunch there and the food is EXCELLENT!

Dennis--great pics

Does anyone know how we verify that our dining ressies are linked. I went to the "my cruise" section of DCL.com, but I couldn't see anything...

I WILL KEEP THE POSTION AS THE BVP BATON HOLDER!!! :wizard: :teeth:

JUST COME ON BOARD AND JOIN THE FUN!!!! :teeth: WE ARE ALL CRAZY , SOME MORE THAN OTHERS (DENNIS) :love2: !!!!

IS EVERYONE NOW IN AGREEMENT? To be truthful I don't want to relinquish my powers!!! :wizard: :rotfl2: I have a little control issue!!! :rolleyes1 Can you relate David? :rotfl: :rotfl2:

Once this is posted it will be construed as a hell or high water contract. This is not negotiable and there will be no backing away once my full name is on this page........

Diane Teresa McEntee :wizard:

Guys - Don't worry about the Dinner Reservation links. I'll call DCL on Monday and do it. There does not appear to be a specific link on the DCL website. Knowing the link happened had to do with trying to register kids in the Oceaneer Club - Someone (Giles?) was asked some Questions that "revealed" the link. I was going to call anyway to try and confirm the APL rotation ...

Dennis

DIDI ~ NOW I will have to go out and get an "extra special" Alaska gift for the OFFICAL BVP Baton Holder :wizard: Therefore, I will neeed to know who to relinquish the current "prize" to. Suggestions? I would suggest the Cribbage Champion ~~~ BUT ~~~ I don't need it.

SOoooo, I am open to suggestions anyone ...

Dennis
