I would offer thoughts on excursions, but I'm not planning on doing any----I kinda like doing my own thing when I feel like it :) I'll prob walk around and shop in all of the ports. I am also hoping to get a Hard Rock shirt from all of the ports...

Is it time to go yet, lol

Yes, I indeed pre-ordered my Passporter. I ordered it through Amazon.com rather than through the passporter site though, so mine might take a little longer...a LOT longer. Remember, we are Canadians. Mail service from the states takes forever, plus costs us a lot more. I recently ordered a dress for my daughter from the states. The dress was $40, plus 30% exchange rate, plus shipping and handling, plus duty charges...the dress ended up being $90 :sad2: We are pretty much use to it though. When we were pricing out our cruise, I kept on asking the TA lady..is that in Canadian dollars??
:teacher:
For excursions, we were thinking of the catamaran races in Key West. Anyone know if they are any good? And I'm planning on putting my DH on a banana boat in CC. I'm not going..just him. I just hope and can be somewhere where I can watch...and take pictures..and chuckle, if he falls off. ;)

Hey, I heard that you can now book everything online now!..from Palos to excursions to kid's clubs. I also heard first-time cruisers (that's us) can't book anything sooner than 75 days before. Oh well..better than having to line up at the shore excursion desk on the ship.

Morning Fellow DIS Junkies :goodvibes

Giles: That must be a pain, ordering from the states, My Dh was up in Canada on business a few weeks ago and he said his expense report is nightmare trying to figure the exchange on everything :confused3 .

I am very interesting in scheduling online. Where did you hear and how do we do it?? Palo? Kids clubs? Spa??? Do tell. One more thing for us OCDers to plan :rotfl: .

Smiling Mouse: More power to you on doing your own thing :cool1: .

Happy Friday!!

Happy Friday!!

There are several threadsabout it on the main DIS DCL board...People with REAS can book 105 days out, CC members 90 days and 60 for everyone else. I called DCL about it yesterday, and they said people who booked through TAs can do this too...I guess it's VERY new...the CM I talked with said it has not been offically released to the public yet....

I hope this helps!!!!

Dennis, have fun!

Have a great Friday all!

I think you might be able to book excursions , too...I am not doing any, so I'm not completely sure....

You might find more info on the DCL web site...

Okay ... We need a Newbie Lurker out there to sign in!!! :earseek: We seem to have quieted down (spring fever) and need an infusion of "new" chatter.
So don't be shy ... Sign on in ... :teeth:

If you sign in now, SmilingMouse & BJ's Mom MIGHT leave you some shrimp for lunch on the first day ... They bein nice & all ...

Does anyone plan on wearing special garb for "Pirate's NIght"? pirate:
Chrystina  loves to do costume parties, so it will not take much convincing to get her on board...

I will not be wearing any pirate garb, but I plan to have a cute little pirate costume for my son by the time September gets here. We already have his hat and eye patch from last time, but we need the rest. My daughter will probably be Tinkerbell again that night. I know it is kind of a strech -> Tinkerbell -> Peter Pan-> Captain Hook-> and that is how we get to the pirate connection.

Have a great day!

I read on the main forum that someone is reluctant on sailing in September due to hurricane season. Anyone on here worried about that? To be quite honest, I never thought about it. SHOULD I be worried? Up here in Alberta we are quite use to unpredictable weather patterns. Never have hurricanes up here though...tornados yes, hurricanes no.

For what it's worth, I'm not worried---I'm the happy go lucky type.....if we are affected, I'll make the best of it :)

Giles Family - Need not worry about hurricanes ... Nothing you can do about it anyways ... Just wave the BVP baton and keep them away. We will all appreciate it. Honestly though, Chrystina  and I have cruised this timeframe three or four time now ... Have always had a good time ... Only been diverted once (Still worked out). :cool1:

Worrying about it will not make it any better ... Expect GREAT Happenings!!!
