The thought of a stingray touching me scares the crap out of me So if I am at stingray city the same time as you, and you hear an unidentified woman screaming in horror while in the ocean, that would probably be me. Don't worry, the screaming woman won't be hurt, only freaked out by the touch of a stingray.

Kim - Really not concerned about the elevator button pusher. Have I mentioned that I don't drink? However, Chrystina imbibes and when I told her that we were going to have a "MAGIC Pub Tour", she told me that I "finally planned something of value". She thinks it is great. She's IN!

Also noticed that you didn't tell us the location of the Bon Voyage party. Does that mean B&J's Mom is in charge since she will be the "new guy"? That's how we dole out chores on Steelhead fishing trips - "new guy" gets it ...

Oh... And one more thing ... it is snowing today - again!

Cujo - Stingray trip is pretty cool. Feel like velvet on the underside. Only thing to watch out for is when you feed them. They take squid out of your hand like a KIRBY vacuum cleaner on steroids. However, I don't think we are going this time ... Not really sure what she wants to do this time ... OCD MEDS must be working? ....

Cabin#???? - 6572 for us ...

And lest I forget!!! Since it was DST and we jumped an hour closer to the cruise ...

Been lurking for some time now. Am a little hesitant about introducing self if policy is "new guy" gets appointed.

but here goes.

We (me, DH, (5.5) and (16mos)) have switched to this cruise from the Eastern Sept 17th sailing. Had sailed last year on Sept 18th and had to beat Jeanne.

We're looking forward to different ports and hopefully no hurricanes.

Want to let B&J's Mom know that our DD will start Kindergarten in the Fall, too. She'll end up missing 6 days but we think it's worth it. Last year was truly Magical. We don't believe we'll have much opportunity later to have this kind of family vacation so we're booked.

Well, I am 99% sure that we are booking this cruise. I will call tomorrow morning to put down the deposit. It is pretty exciting, but I am still nervous! I guess I should tell you all who we are - me, my husband, my daughter (5) and my son (2). We are from Kansas.

Okay you "upper level" folks. It seems that only four foxes, kcatoir, and my family are located on deck 2. The rest of you are the "upper level" folks. I'll just call you the uppities for short.
I just want to make sure that you uppities will save the lower level deck 2 folks in case of a Titanic disaster. I keep thinking of that movie. Makes me worried to be on deck 2. Will somebody please save us and unlock the gates if there is a disaster!?
On another note , B&Js mom--where are you from in Kansas? We are near Kansas City. Are you close? Did you book the cruise yet?
Looks like you are off the hook bpicard9. You were worried we would assign you a job if you introduced yourself. No one gave you a job. Maybe you could save the other families and me from deck 2 if no one else volunteers.

We are about 25 minutes south of the Plaza, not that we ever get to go down there - you know - 2 young kids!

Haven't booked officially yet, still waiting to talk to my husband and make sure we are 100% on this. I don't know what my deal is. I keep worrying about everything. Now you have added in deck 2...titanic... that's what deck we are quoted on for now.

Well, I did it. I put down the deposit, we are officially booked on this cruise. The only bad thing is our room is #2002. This is the second farthest room forward you can get. I hope it doesn't rock me too much, I tend to get seasick.

Oh yeah! Another Kansas City group joining the fun on deck two. Maybe we'll be on the same flight together. Congrats on booking.

Power Alaska says he is going to do a pub crawl on the ship one night. He is organizing a big party. I am the designated "driver" to get everyone home since I will be in my cabin by the phone. Just call me and I will come and push the buttons on the elevator while everyone is laying horizontal on the floor. I will get you to your room safe and sound. Although I'm not sure why power alaska is planning this crawl, as he is a non-drinker.
