My family and I leave one month from today. Hooray!!! The ones from Michigan will be flying in at midnight. We leave Mississippi at 5PM. We'l spend Saturday at Typhoon Lagoon and get to the terminal about 10:30 or 11. I'm going to start the packing process tomorrow, that will make it seem even closer.

4 weeks from tomorrow. It's getting closer. This last time will seem to fly and at the same time drag. All the last minute details.

We're less than a month to go. For the last couple of days, my wife and I have kept asking each other "Where will we be a month from now?"

Right now, my answer would be "Snorkeling at Castaway Cay"

Chris and I (minus the children) will be in Orlando the first of Sept. then one or two business trips and then it will be time to GO!!!!
We are leaving from the Florida Panhandle on the 22nd we will stay with friends in Kissimmee Sat. night then bright and early to the Wonder!!!!
We will be at DW Thursday to Sunday then back to reality.

We're staying at Old Town Days Suites Saturday Night, then going to the port bright and early Sunday. When we get back we'll be at DW from Thursday until Monday, then back home on Tuesday. only 4 weeks to go!!!

Good morning fellow cruisers! We are getting so close.

I have a pressing question to ask of those of you with children. Can they wear shorts in the dining rooms, I mean dressy ones of course and do you bring dressy shoes? Yikes I can't imagine having to make them wear school shoes. I was hoping they could wear new sneakers and new Sketcher sandals. Can anyone offer help? Thanks in advance.

If memory serves, our son wore sneakers to dinners but always wore lightweight slacks (school uniform) and polo's or other short sleeve collared shirts to dinner. We'll probably do the same this time around.

He did wear full tux + tophat and gloves on formal night last year, but for better or worse, there's no need to worry about formal night on the 4 day cruise.

If anyone is arriving the week before the cruise and would like to get together for a "Pre-Cruise Drink" let me know...I really start my vacation on Tuesday night. So, I thought it would be fun to meet and have a little fun.

Well for the most part, August is OVER!!!

Which can only mean one thing...23 DAYS AND COUNTING!!!

I can't believe that we finally made it to September...I look back and remember saying I didn't want summer to fly by and it did...Thank GOD!!!

So we are in high speed cruise mode, making sure all of the last minute details are done. My Mom gets to Orlando in 18 days, gotta do the mom cleaning...

Ok not that I'm counting or anything, but the Wonder only has 6 more sailings before we get onboard... They better be taking good care of her for all of us...

Just under 3 weeks until we get to Orlando.

OceanLvr, we'd be interested in getting together pre-cruise if we can coordinate a time/place. We get in too late Thurs, bu we'll be in the parks Fri. and Sat., and don't really have an agenda except for dinner Fri at Ohana's and lunch Sat. at Prime Time Cafe. Maybe we can meet at the Poly Fri. or somewhere else Sat. evening.

I'm not sure if it's a blessing or a curse, but some of you have been anticipating this for over a year. Me? I just got Fed-Ex package 2 months ago informing me that I was one of the winners of Disney's Little Mermaid DVD promotion. I had won a land/sea package. I almost wet my pants. Two months doesn't seem like nearly enough time to plan for all this.

Of course there is always drama with my family (I have no children of my own) so I may be coming with my mom, niece 4, and nephew 8...or I may be coming all by myself. Either way....I'm coming!!!

We (I) will be staying in Disney World a couple of days beforehand and then off to sea.

I don't think we plan on doing to many extras, as we will be on a tight budget, but I might suprise mom with a spa treatment of some sort.

Me, I'll splurge on the Bahama Mamas.

I can see how easy it is to become addicted to the forums...checking it several times a day. There are still new places to look that I find all the time.

Anyway...here's to peaceful seas, romantic weddings, chilled drinks, and meeting new friends.

We got our wedding documents in the mail yesterday...

Everything is confirmed and we're just holding our breath for the next few weeks...I spoke with DCL this morning, the travel documents for the cruise are already printed and she estimated that we should be receiving them by the end of this week...Keep your eyes peeled for them...

So, what else is cooking? I see we have more fun folks joining us

Any other big plans happening? We are just playing it by ear for now. No last minnute spa appointments or anything like that...ust trying to make sure everyone that is arriving from out of state gets here on time and has everything they'll need...My mother is already packed and she doesn't leave Massachusetts until Tuesday. Again, I will repeat...If you are able to pack that far in advance and still have stuff to wear, you have too much stuff...Nuff said...

I can't even think about packing yet..still too much to do with work to worry just yet.

Hi; we're also getting quite excited. We currently have rezzies to stay at Comfort Suites at Paradise Island, across from Atlantis, for access to Atlantis (we're 2 female friends, 60 y.o.). Now I just came across a great deal for only a little bit more to stay at the Atlantis, so may be changing our rezzies for there. Is anyone on this sailing interested in "sharing" the cost of the room, but you just using it initially for changing into your bathing suits? My friend may want to nap later on so isn't so keen on "sharing" the room w/strangers as far as that goes. If another two are interested, the costs if I've done the math right, would run about $72-$74 each (depending on tax), which is a steal if you ask me. Our price for two, based on per person, is virtually the same even if we have four, so just giving a couple people the opportunity to add their names on "fairly inexpensively" if they wish. (They chg. extra per person for any adults over two.) The cost to us is not reduced by more than $5 or so if two more are added on. Pls. reply here if interested. Only "caveat" is that the Atlantis said this is non-cancelable (sp?) from 14 days within arrival (9/10?), regardless of weather! (There might be a little wiggle room if hurricane occurs, was my take on this, but not sure.)

I can't wait to get the documents! It's funny, looking at our calendar, between the kids' school activities, other social events, and then the vacation, it feels September is "already over."

Hard to believe that in 2 weeks + 1 day and we'll be at the airport.

Hi. Just got back from WDW after doing the 14 day Transatlantic on the Magic. Before I get too depressed , just booked this cruise. Have to have my Disney fix. It's me (Bev - age older as of 9/23) and DD (Lindsay -age 20 as of 9/26) celebrating both of our birthdays. Haven't looked at any of this thread yet but I need to catch up fast
