Sept 22, 2013. A Pirate's Life on the Dream.

Can we join the FE program if were not on facebook? It sounds like a lot of fun. My family would really enjoy this activity. Do we just add our info here? Will the list of families be on this site also?Any info would be great. Thank you!

Greetings, everyone! My DW (NicoleKristal) and I recently booked on this cruise as a B2B with the September 26th 3-day sailing. This will be our 3rd and 4th cruises, with our first ever coming up in just a couple of months! Looking forward to meeting everyone and sharing in all the planning fun.

I had the Same questions too

Hmm...I do too actually. I sent a PM to StephanieAnn a couple of months ago asking if our family can be included but haven't gotten a response yet. I do appreciate whomever has volunteered to organize this for others but maybe I sent the request to the wrong person. Just don't want to miss out on it. Anybody know who is the right person to contact to get us signed up?
Thanks! :flower3:

I just posted on the FB page asking for info on how people join the FE if not on FB. Hopefully will have an answer soon.

I don't do FB because I got hacked so Thank you :thumbsup2 for posting on FB about us who are not on it but would like to do the FE.

It made my trip the last time and I would be greatly disappointed not to get to join in.

Did you all hear about the new door policy that DCL has? Would be a shame if they curtail our fun as it makes it so much more fun to walk down the halls.

I laughed when I read it from a friend because I guess they figured this was another way they could sell stuff instead of our making it ourselves - which for me is half the fun.

Guess I gotta do some more research about this.

We are happy to say this will be our first Disney cruise. :) My husband and I will be traveling with both of our daughters for their birthdays (both in September). They will be turning 4 and 7. We are also bringing along my parents, who are also cruise rookies.

We are really looking forward to it and will take all the suggestions and tips you will throw at us. :)

So, this means no More hanging FE? Where did you read it?

Hi. I think it's just to one's that hang over the inside of door frame as they damage the door. If they just hang off the actual Fish Extender hook outside the room my understanding was that was ok. But maybe somebody else could verify?

So the one with the stateroom # is ok then. I don't know which one is the inside door one :-/

Yes as look as you don't stick anything to the door or hang anything over the top of the door frame we are good to go. Somebody posted this letter from DCL before their cruise recently...

Hi everyone,

We've been asked to share the following letter that DCL will start delivering to guests in the coming weeks.

Thanks,
PEte

Dear Guests,

We are glad that you have joined us aboard the Disney (Choose Ship)!

As you may be aware, it is important to us to keep our facilities looking their best for all our guests. As part of our commitment to this area of focus, we ask that you do not affix anything to your stateroom door utilizing tape or any adhesive, including removable gel adhesives. We have found that these adhesives damage the finish on our stateroom doors; therefore we ask that you limit door decoration to those of the magnetic variety.

Concurrently, we ask that guests not use over-the-door hanging organizers as they have been found to scratch and/or disfigure stateroom doors and trim.

Guests found with damaged doors are assessed a $100 damage fee per incident to cover the cost of repairs.

Your attention to this matter will greatly assist us in keeping our shipboard environment looking ship-shape. Should you have any questions, please feel free to contact Guest Services, Deck 3 Mid-ship.

If interested, magnetic door decorations are available for purchase in our merchandise area. For your convenience, magnetic strips are also available at Guest Services.

We appreciate your cooperation and hope you have an enjoyable sailing.

Sincerely,

You are welcome!! No reply yet from the organizer, she doesn't seem to post much so might not be on often?
Another poster suggested getting the info from non-FB participants and adding to the list for you. I will do that if anyone wants to PM me your names including last, ages and gender of all guests in your cabin, and cabin number if assigned.
Hope that helps for now?

Do you think we should forget FB and just organise FE from this thread? I think much easier. Last year I organised one that was successful that way.

That's an option, too. There's only about 2 or 3 posters not on FB so far, right?

I believe so. We could post on FB to say that's what is happening to give the option of joining these thread. I personally would like to start knowing how many in FE and the break down of kids, adults , interests etc. that way we can get making / buying! Part of looking forward to it for me :-)

I'm totally fine with waiting to hear back and be part of the combined DIS/FB group. We still have a good amount of time to go but I guess I would like to know the basics right now: who is the organizer and when is the deadline to sign up?

:thumbsup2
