When would you go if given the choice between September 2022 or January 2023?
if we wait til January we can go for longer as DH will have more vacation allotment. The kids are only in kindergarten and grade 2 so I'm not concerned about them missing too much school... I know people think it's "cold" in January but we're from Canada we can handle it. I've been in September before and it did rain a lot but was tolerable, the crowds were small but it was also 10 years ago. went in January as a small child and really have no solid memories of that and I didn't do any of the planning then haha

We have been in January a few times and the weather is very unpredictable, but it can get very cold with northerly winds and the water parks are usually closed.
We love going in September as the summer rush is over but the weather is still hot, evenings are warm and the crowds a bit less.

we won't be doing the waterparks either way, I would love to go in September just not sure if we'd be able to squeeze everything in

We were choosing between the same two time frames and opted for September 2022. Hopefully it'll be a little less crowded.

If the insane heat isn’t a deterrent September is great. F&W is still going, and all the Halloween stuff is out, and you can enjoy the pools.

We went in January and enjoyed not sweating to death but we couldn’t swim and it was miserably chilly & rainy (although i think that was just our bad luck.)

We're from Louisiana, where it's hot and and humid -- very similar to Florida. I don't do well in the heat, so September is a no for me! We LOVE going in January. The weather is pretty unpredictable, with everything from 30s-80s all in one week. We've been "freezing", but also had swimming weather. All in all, it's a great time to go! Just bring layers and be prepared for the temperature swings.

Another vote for January, especially if it means you get a longer trip! :) Just watch the weather forecast the week before you leave and adjust your packing accordingly.

We're doing both! Used to go in Oct, but with the recent DVC point chart changes, we decided to try the end of Sept again. We really like Jan, and have had good luck with the weather.
