Has anyone from the U.S. booked the Canadian offer and been told that it is good for them? I called earlier because when I click on the offer, the URL includes en_US which I would take to mean English US. The customer service representative I spoke with says that the offer is only good in Canada and that proof of residency is required. Has anyone heard any differently?

en_US likely refers to the language used on that page rather than the location of guests eligible to book.

The customer service representative I am chatting with now says that it's because I am using a US main frame.

I'm a little discouraged. It seems like an offer like this should be good for everyone!

The customer service agent with whom you're speaking doesn't know what he or she is talking about.

If you were to have clicked on the "French" option when prompted to choose your language on the Canadian Disney entry page (remember, both French and English are spoken in Canada) the URL would include the text string "fr_CA" for (drumroll) Canadian French, while directing you to the same links.

Just wait it out......I have NO doubt that FD will be released to the US residents, especially now with the reports of the bouceback offer.

I booked it in July for Aug 2012 thru the regular Disney web site. I called last week to ask and switch resorts and they told me it was a glitch with their system and they will honor my reservation. I have tried recently to book it thru the site again and it does not and has not allowed me since July. Hope that makes sense.

You will need proof of Canadian residency when you check in. My cousin in Ohio just tried to book through my Canadian TA. We thought for sure we found a loophole.. No go.
