Looks like under my circumstances, free dining is a better deal anyway.

We're jumping in too! We haven't officially booked anything yet but we have a week to make up our minds. We're going in May this year too and it is a bit of a stretch (especially when flights would be $1500+) but we'll see if we can make it happen. The new discount isn't too bad but I'm an AP holder so fingers crossed that something comes out.

I felt like a total goon yesterday at work because I was all jumpy in my seat after I booked and nobody could understand why. They don't understand the whole Disney thing. They usually roll their eyes at me when I say we are going back again.

It's okay, though, because they just don't know what they are missing!

Booked the kids free promo on Monday. Would have rather had the FD but I missed the booking date. If FD does come out for October we will push our trip back a week. Dates are 9/24 to 10/2 at pop with the QSDP.

Booked a long weekend 9/28 to 10/1 to take my Lil Sis to F&W before we drive up to the Villages to visit our sister who is moving from NJ to "The Villages" this year. Booked a studio at the Beach Club Villas at the 40% rate. I never book this early, but hope my single mom sister can take off work to come down to visit my happy place.

Just booked our room at POFQ for Sept 8th-13th using the room only discount. Waiting for the passholders discount to come hoping to save a bit more. Anyone have an idea as to when these are usually released? Right now it only goes til April.

I had my honeymoon booked at the Polynesian for Sept with the meal plan included. My fiance' got a 40% room discount pin yesterday in her e-mail. Prior the reservation was in my name but she was still set up to get e-mails from disney. We called up and after weighing our options, decided to keep the same room we had and pocket the discount money. The result was a $500 savings with is using the 40% off PIN and adding the meal plan back in.

i wondered how it wouldwork out....we have the freeDDP for september already booked but i wasn't sure about 'cashing in' for other discounts. I haven't recieved another offer? Did you get it directly from Disney?

Yes right from disney. They ran the current discount against the PIN. PIN was better and they offered to swap right away and save me $500

I am bummed because in the 30+ times we've been to Disney we have never received a PIN code. It's frustrating because I can't figure out why so I'm holding out for an AP discount of 40%. If we get one, we will likely change resorts (again) and stay at the Poly.

Today I tried to book a room only at POFQ at 40% off (the public offer) and then add the dining plan. They wouldn't let me. Said I need to have a basic ticket too. I have that already on my ressie but I can get it back once we check in since we have the AP's. I just don't get why I can't book the room separate and then the dining plan.

Oh well, the good news is.........we're going to Disney.

In order to book a dining plan you need to book a package which includes a ticket. The only way to book a package without a ticket is to book an AP rate + dining.

After talking about there stay at Disney we changed our mind & re-booked at BC 40% off room, the 40% off room was a better deal than transferring our F.D. to BC. Looking forward to all the planning before going.

Really? How was that a better deal? I've never even thought of staying anywhere except values with a family our size...I thought FD would always be the best price? We booked the ASMU family suite August 28-Sept.3rd. Do you mind me asking what was your price difference?
