Sept. 2011 code watch, lets see who finds it first!

The dining plan list is simply not finalized yet. Many of the Epcot restaurants don't sign the contract to join the DDP til the last minute. They're not owned by Disney so they negotiate a contract.

I can verify this to be an accurate assumption based on past personal experience.:thumbsup2

You can always change it....we have the free dining, but I think 40%off the resort would be better. If it comes out I will cancel and rebook!

That's true enough. I'll have to book at the 180 day mark, and keep my fingers crossed for a deal like I got in Sept.

I'm not going to book with free dining, I don't think. Haven't yet, anyway. I guess I could book a moderate, but I'd rather just buy points off a DVC member if it came down to it.

for those of you who always go in september, a few questions:

how is the weather?
does it rain everyday?
do the hurricanes affect orlando?
is it typically colder than the first part of november?

i just got back from my first trip in november and am already planning the next one!

thanks in advance:goodvibes

September can be as hot and sticky as August, then again, it can be mild, but definitely not cold!
Hurricanes have the possibility of affecting your stay, but its accepted in September because,,,,well,,,,,its Florida!
Rain is the same as August; you are likely to get showers in the afternoon.
I chose the last possible week of September, hoping for an early cool spell, but don't care if theres a hurricane, because I'll be in Disneyworld!:woohoo:

thanks for the info.

the heat/humidity doesn't bother me, so that part sounds nice. i think i am going to hope for not much rain and plan our next trip for mid to late september and take advantage of the low crowds and free dining. although, with free dining, maybe the crowds won't be so low? :confused3

Good choice! Just make sure to make your dining reservations for table service restaurants at the 180 day mark. With free dining the restaurants are booked solid.
Its going to be glorious! We're all pleased with our decision!:cutie:

When can I start to book my dining reservations?
We're booked starting 29 Sept, and our reservations start April 2nd.

Anyway, like I said, we're booked for 29 Sept - 6 Oct for FD. Since we upgrade to Deluxe, it still costs us extra, so I'm waiting to see if anything comes out that will give us a better overall price, while still getting Deluxe Dining.

If anything comes up, and someone here notices it before I do, does it get added to the post on the front page?

When can I start to book my dining reservations?

My reservations are Sept 22nd - 30th, and I can make my reservations on march 27th [180 days]. If you stay on-site, you can make up to 10 ADR's on that day. Your reservations start Sept 19th, you can call on march 24th and make up to 10 ADR's that day.

I try to keep up with the news that comes out and I add it to the front page. :)

Count me in on code watch. I went for the first time in September this year and it was great! I'm hoping for a discount on lodging and I'm really looking at a 1 BDR villa somewhere! But I have to use a discount if I want to do that. So I'm in popcorn::

We are planning to be there 9/23-9/30!! We are going to surprise the kids and tell them the morning of. I can't wait! We go every 2 years and our 2 years is up in Feb....I am sad we have to wait until September but I am soooo looking forward to it!

We are booking the Dolphin. I got a room with the AAA rate for $172(including all fees and taxes)

I was going to do free dining but we want to stay in the Epcot area and I can't justify the $1600 more it will cost to stay at the Boardwalk! We stayed at the Yacht Club 2 years ago on the 4/3 deal and I LOVED it. We normally stay at the Dolphin/Swan and are spoiled by being in the area.

Just to clarify, if you stay on site, you can make up to 10 *days* of ADRs on that day, not just 10 ADRs total.

I'm thinking that its 10 ADR's, not ten days, but maybe the reservations thread will know the answer

It's definitely 10 days. I do Deluxe each time I go, and if it were just 10 ADRs, I would only be able to book 3 days + 1 meal at 3 meals/day. My stays are usually 8 days, and I can book all of my days at the 180 day mark.

Waitin waitin waitin.... room only code... that would be a GREAT Christmas present...
