sept 2010 PTR- -- because this is how we roll to disney:)

hello everyone!!:thumbsup2 just wanted to drop by quickly -- i hope everyone had a great weekend! Can you believe its monday already?? well at least its almost over:) Today i added one more ADR-- on our very last day in disney the same day we leave-- i added a 9:55am Crystal palace breakfast-- we are going to pay out of pocket for this mean-- but we have time to kill since our flight doesnt leave to close to 9pm at night -- so we might as well enjoy one more day at MK!!!:cool1:

So i just got done having a good workout for the evening:) burned a little over 500 calories!! Today i wasnt very hungry but i had a huge salad for dinner-- people crave cake-- i crave lettuce LOL!! well of course i crave cake too -- but i just really wanted a nice big salad-- oh and let me recommend the best dressing ever its from aldi and its called " house" dressing its soo good!!! Its like a sweeter italian dressing. For dessert i had a slim a bear fugde bar-- they are made my klondike-- and only one point they are so delicious-- and creamy.

So i had just a okay weekend--- went shopping-- but really didnt get to enjoy the weather:( Josh worked all weekend-- he is always working weekends-- its really hard on me sometimes:( but i have the disboards right? LOL!!! i wish i was able to enjoy the weather-- maybe next weekend we shall see whats in the forecast:)

up next-- tomorrow i will post more pics from last years trip-- more healthy ideas-- and talk about disney traditions:)

one of the things i love hearing about is peoples disney tradtions! Do-- i think it would be fun if everyone would share one of their disney traditions:) I will start with a few of mine:)
1. We always have to start out going to Magic kingdom the first day of our trip
2. We always have to eat at Liberty Tree Tavern the first day of our trip
3. We always make sure we see at least spectro, wishes, illumination and fantasmic at least once:)
4. Always have to take a picture of the " disneyworld" sign when entering disney property
5. Always get like 10 fastpasses for soarin and go on a soaring frenzy!!!:lmao:
6. Always have to get pizza planet - which has a story behind it-- we literally stumbled into it by accident LOL this was back in 2006-- my mom and I went on our first mother daughther trip-- we were in the waiting area getting ready to see the muppets-- well - i get someone clastrophobic at times-- i am not sure if it was too hot, too many people, hunger-- but all the sudden i tell my mom " i think i am going to pass out" she drags me out of the emergency exit in muppets and we run into pizza planet and got the " junkyard combo" the veggie pizza- and till this day we still love it:)

so-- if everyone could share a tradition or a story i would love to hear some of your traditions:)

a few healthy ideas for tonight:
~ red beans and rice
~ lean cusine pizzas
~cherry popsicles
~salt and pepper flavored min rice cakes
~fat free pringles
~ baked salt and vinegar chips from target
~york peppermint patties
~ mini 3 musketer bars
~chocolate twizzlers

recipe: corn and black bean salad
1 can corn drained
1 can black beans drained and rinsed
1/2 cup chopped red onions
1/2 cup of newmans own light balasmic vingerette

mix together and chill-- 1 cup would be 2 WW points:) its really good- filling-- and a nice summer side:)
Here are a few random pics from last years trips

up next--- is there going to be free dinning? what does everyone think? and the start of my plans for day 1 of my trip:)

Now that it is just DH and I going to Disney, here are our traditions:

1. First ride we go on at the MK is Dumbo. Yes, even at age 57, DH LOVES Dumbo.
2. We must have breakfast at the Crystal Palace before the park opens.
3. Plaza is our last meal of our trip either before we go to the airport or before we go to the beach.
4. We always spend a full morning/early afternoon at the CSR and enjoy the resort.
5. We try every trip to dine at Fulton's at Downtown Disney. Fulton's is the first restaurant DH took me to when going to Disney and it holds special meaning for us.
6. We always sit and enjoy watching the little ones faces when they see Mickey or the Castle.

i love your traditions:woohoo: i love crystal palace for breakfast too:) its great going into a empty park-- and a great time for pictures--- slo i want to ask how is the Plaza we are eating there the first time this trip-- what do you get to eat there and what would you recommend? I wanted to do something more simple for a meal that day we do our crystal palace breakfast. We are going to for sure spend a morning or day at CSR also!! Its such a beautiful resort-- and seems like there is a lot to explore on the resort:) I can't wait:banana:

on 9/9/2010 we fly out of pittsburgh at 11:30 am and we land in orlando about 1:21--- so i am figuring by time we get our luggage ( if we decide to not let them deliver the luggage to our rooms), get a magical express bus to resort, and check in-- i figure that will take till about 3:00pm. Then we are going to head straight for the parks --- maybe before going to the park grabbing a snack-- since im sure we will be hungry from not eating all day:) The first park we are going to head to is MAGIC KINGDOM!!! Nothing like walking down main street for the first time and seeing the castle to really get the trip started!! we always have to start with this park first!! We have a tradition also that we have to ride Pirates of the Carribean first:) i adore that ride!!! ARRGHH!!!!!:lmao:

Then we will continue with riding other rides. We have 6:00pm reservation at Liberty Tree Tavern-- this is also a tradition-- i love the food here!! I know it gets some mixed reviews but i just cannot get enough of it:) after dinner we are going to relax-- find a nice spot to sit -- and get ready to watch wishes!!! The most magical fireworks show in the world:

after the fireworks we are going to head back to coronado-- since this is a new resort for us we want to spend a little time getting to know the resort and exploring!!

after that it will be a good nights sleep for us to get ready for our next day!!

So I have a little story for everyone-- i want coming home of the bus today from work-- i work in downtown pittsburgh-- a lady on the bus starting talking to be about going on cruises and she said that i have to go on a cruise that its amazing i told her-- that disney is my thing and that i go to disneyworld every year she said to me " honey you are too old to me going to disney you need to go on a cruise":lmao::lmao::lmao:

I couldn't believe she said that!! the nerve LOL how dare someone try to mess with anyone's happy place! I told her that disney is just as much for adults as it was kids-- and she just rolled her eyes at me:scared1:

well lady-- you can have fun our your cruise while i have fun on my disney trip:yay:-- so thats my little disney story of the day!!

Also i have been seeing some rumors on the boards about free dinning maybe being offered starting monday:banana:

my mom is taking off work on monday just in case-- we are nervous about getting Coronado-- and she is a disney visa card holder so she should be okay-- and can book 3 days before the general public-- does anyone know if its hard to get a room at coronado?:confused3

Also has anyone else heard any other free dinning rumors? If so please share!

Here are some Magic kingdom pics to end the post this is from last years trip!

We have one of the same traditions-

1. DH and I always take a picture on the first day of the Disney sign :goodvibes
2. We have to get a to-go order from the Earl of Sandwich to eat on the car ride home
3. We get a "turtled" rice krispy Mickey head which is covered in chocolate, rolled in pecans and drizzled with caramel:woohoo: from Goofy's Candy Co. to eat on the ride home (can you tell we like to take the Disney magic home with us??)
4. We ride the teacups and one of us takes a video of the other. Sounds lame but it is fun to watch- the person in the video is stationary and everything is whizzing around behind them and ususally the one who is in the video is cracking up.

That turtled rice cripsy treat sounds amazing!! Do you just ask for a turtled rice crispy treat? I am drooling just thinking about it:lovestruc

Okay sorry guys that i have been MIA for a few days! Had a busy weekend and yesterday spent a good part of the day disney planning with my mom. According to the boards rumors were that Free Dinning would be released today-- well that was totally wrong:( so Sad! my poor mom even took the day off work to schedule our trip with free dinning-- :confused3 but i still have hope-- I believe its coming just a little later -- which last year they did put the offer up earlier than previous years. Yesterday we planned were we wanted to stay, how many days we wanted to spend in the park-- so today when my mom called about free dinning she just went ahead and booked the trip-- and we can add it on later  This is what we got:

Sept 9th-18th
~ Coronado Springs Resort:banana:
~ requested Cabanas section 8A or 9B
~ 10- day park hooper
~ Trip insurance
~ and magic express
~Basic Disney dinning plan

the total without any discounts as of yet is $ 3113.32 for two-- so we would each pay half of that-- we already got airfare back in Feb- but i am praying to the free dinning gods-- and any other discounts that could come instead of FD to take this price down!

I really think it will be coming though:)

Next up: Plans for Day 2 sept 10th
our second day we are going to arrive at Epcot around 9:00am. We always start in future world and work our way to World Showcase. This day in epcot has extra magic hours-- so we can take our time:) We are hoping that the new pizza place in epcot might be open by then and we can have lunch there. We have a 8:10pm ressie at Le Cellier-- a litle late but ill take what i can get-- and after dinner we are hoping to catch a little of Illuminations!! Then we will go back to the resort and either swim-- or do go to downtown disney!! I love downtown disney at night!! Its such a exciting place to be!! And thats our day two plans:)

Okay lets play a game-- name your favorite disney restaurant and least favorite

I'll start:
Favorite: Kona Cafe for dinner
Least: Whispering Canyon Cafe ! Yuck!

some fitness tips for the day:
~ watch a movie or listen to bump you up music while using a treadmill at all
~ Grilled chicken salad with chicken cooked on the grill is really good:)
~ prepare a fruit salad at the beginning of the week and if you get a craving for something sweet you have something to grab:)

Well i am off to get ready to watch dancing with the stars:)

Up next day 3 plans-- and still on the Free dinning lookout:surfweb:

That turtled rice cripsy treat sounds amazing!! Do you just ask for a turtled rice crispy treat? I am drooling just thinking about it:lovestruc

We order our "turtled" rice krispy treat just by filling out the form they have at Goofy's Candy Co (pick your coating, then what it will be rolled in and something to drizzle on top). I think it is the cheapest treat in Disney - only $3 for what I consider to be one of the best desserts on the planet! I probably never would have gone into Goofy's in DTD if I didn't know about the create-your-own treat option. My second favorite snack at Goofy's is pretzel rods dipped in dark chocolate, rolled in crushed reese's peanut butter cups and drizzled with milk chocolate. :teeth:

Your plans look great so far :thumbsup2. I am like you about Le Cellier, I take anything I can get. We are going to eat dinner there in May so I am hoping dinner is good, we have only had lunch.

Favorite Disney Restaurant------Grand Floridian Cafe
Least favorite--------I really can't think of one.

i have to have my Le Cellier at least once each trip:love: :) I normally eat dinner at LeCellier and its so good!! I never really ate steak before-- untill LeCellier-- now i mostly eat filet when going out to steak places:) It got me hooked LOL!!

I also love Grand Floridian Cafe-- Josh and I tried it last year for the first time kinds by accident LOL-- we had ressies at Narcoossee's got all dressed up-- went over there-- and just didn't feel like going there  I think the whole 2 credit signature meal turned us off a little and we didn't want to eat anywhere that was too " stuffy" --so we walked up to Grand Floridian Cafe-- got right in-- and by far is was the best service all week:) I don't think i am going to make it there this year-- but its on the top of my list for sure:)

Le cellier is on of my faves too-- i would say second on my list after Kona:) I have never been to fultons but would love to try it one day

I totally agree with you on Whispering Canyon-- :scared1: I was not impressed with that place at all-- thats one place i can cross off my list LOL

why my treadmill is my new best friend:
~ It lets me take all my frustrations out on him and doesn't fight back:eek:
~ I can run all over him and he doesn't stop me:cool1:
~ He kicks my butt without ever leaving a mark:laughing:
~He pushes me harder-- and sometimes he tells me " come on you can do it"
~He helps me burn calories and makes my pants get biggerr:yay:

What more can a girl ask for?:flower3:

So tonight i had a very good workout- my programmed workouts are kicking it up a notch :scared1: so i got my butt kicked again tonight !:yay:
I do have a excercise related questions-- for anyone that might know-- they say that exercising makes you get a increased appeptite-- then explain how i am having a loss of appetite:confused3 I need to try to get in all my WW points in a day and having a hard time doing it-- working out i think makes me less hungry? Has this ever happened to anyone?

Okay now for for the next part of the post-- I want to know what souvenirs can you absolutely not leave disney without? I have a few:)
1. This plastic cups with the sparkles and water in them LOL each year i have to get the new one that comes out
2. I have to do the pick a pearl in Japan in Epcot-- Last year i got twin blue pearls and my hubby insisted i picked another and got a large white pearl I got both made into a necklace
3. I have to go to Basin in Downtown disney and get a lot of the fresh cut soaps-- and i also like getting the sample bag of leftover cut soaps that they have at the register
4. I collect the larger stuffed big baby stuffe animals-- I still need big baby goofy and donald LOL i get a few each year
