My son's best friend is getting married Saturday. I just heard that my son was at his house (right behind my house) the other day. He has not been in contact with anyone for several years, me included. While I am delighted to hear that he is now in touch with his friend (my adopted son) I am heartbroken that he was so near yet remains so far away. I thought I would tell someone who cares.

So sorry to hear about your DS. It is nice that you at least have a new distant relative in Christine. I think my DS might be related too. When he was 4 or 5 he picked himself out a racoon skin hat (I think it was made of rabbit fur though) and wore that hat quite often till about 4th grade. I am surprised he never got picked on because of it. Does that qualify him as related to Daniel Boone? lol

I'm moving to Texas in less than 5 months. With the temps my friend in Texas has said you have had since May I am sure I will be ready to move back North by next May though.

Talk about busy! When I left, Bonz was killing this thread with news of her cancelled trip ('cause we all know it ain't a party without our Bonz!), and now we're roadtripping to Kris's for margaritas, wearing coonskin caps with M&N's cousin Davy Crockett, roadtripping to S/G's (to be cared for in the manner to which Tom has become accustomed), and Ang is moving to TX??? Whew--I've got some catching up to do!

I said I was moving to TX in the next 5 months because Timmy reminded everyone that winter starts in 5 months up north. Since my body can't stand the cold I have always wanted to move south. If it weren't for being married to a stubborn man I would be living where it is warmer. So since Kristin said she doesn't get winter I said I am moving there. lol

WOW, that is an expensive house! I thiught houses were less in Texas, more like around here? At any rate, I checked it out, but alas, the only thing I like it porch...and being your neighbor.

Its not decorated to my taste...its one of the most expensive homes in our area

I was thinking about that visit to San Antonio - staying at a Riverwalk hotel would be fun and then we could get together during the day (when DS is in school?) and see the sites. How's that sound as a possiblity? Just thinkin.....for the distant future maybe.

WHAT?!?!? Well if you come for a visit, you'll DEFINITELY have to try one!

They can be a bit tart but I find them refreshing when its so hot or while eating spicy Mexican food.
