Sept. 2009 @ WDW! Be a Pop Tart 2009~come share your(Bounce Back or NOT)Dates !!!

I am going to Disneyland!!!! In just one month, I can't believe it. Family was tired (are they crazy?!) of WDW so Dh said "let's try Disneyland..." Wooohoo, can't wait!

Christine, please forgive me, you caught me at a hectic time. Glad that Timmie is more with it than I. Burned fingers hurt far more than they should and for far longer. I am sorry and I hope you do not do that again, at least not any time soon~!

Spitting? See what happens with you youngsters when I am not around? That is not nice, stop it, now!!! I thought I done raised you better than that.

Jan, please report back and let us know which you prefer, DW or DL. Of course either is better than any other place.:thumbsup2

Diva K, I am a foodaholic. I used to eat pretty much anything that would not bite me back. My favorite veggie was an Oreo. Hey, it has vegetable oil in it! I have had to give up my evil ways though as no food tastes as good as life feels. My favorite part of DW is getting to eat some things and not have to pay a price for it. If only I lived on Main Street USA.:flower3: I like moveable media so a DVR does not suit me. Good for you though!

JM, my geographic skills are so poor that even if I set out on a walk around the block there is real chance that I will see the world before I find my way back home. :rotfl:

Ang, I just knew you would be the only other person here who buys switchplates in bulk. Luckily I have four big rooms in the basement in which to store all those things that I will need, someday. :scared1:

I have increased my store of knowledge. I have figured out how to transfer files and folders from one computer to the other, wirelessly. If only the signals would dust on their way from one room to the other my life would be complete.:rolleyes1

That's :cool1: ! Hope you have a great time. Are you going to do a PTR?

Minnie&Nana :scared1: Hope your fingers get better soon.

I'm sitting here waiting on an air conditioner guy. I know, it is mid February, it is 80 degrees in the house! Luckily it is still under warranty. What a way to start a weekend.

Even with one finger typing, must respond::dance3: :cheer2: :dance3: :cheer2: :yay: :cheer2: :yay: :dance3:

LUCKY YOU!!!!!!! Disneyland will forever be my favorite (Be still my heart). It as my first at age 10, so will always be special.

Remember, try not to compare it to WDW. It's totally different...try to connect with the history and quaintness of the MK (I could care less about California Adventure). Oh, so many wonderful things about that park...sigh..

Where are you staying? If not a Disney resort (not as important at DL), I HIGHLY recommend the Candy Cane Inn:http://www.candycaneinn.net/

I don't know of anyone who didn't love it. ::yes::

I am so happy for you!! And absolutely green with envy!!

Have a fabulous vist!!!!:goodvibes

(p.s. Thanks for all the good wishes everyone! Healing well, if slowly. :) )

Hey everyone. Love the pin so appropriate.

Christine,
Hope those fingers heal fast.

Linda,
I only buy the plates in bulk when I need them. Like when painting a room. They look nice when they are new and are too inexpensive not to just replace them.

DH is a major pack rat and the saddest thing is nothing is in order so when he needs something he stuck somewhere he can never find it and buys it again when he needs it. I hate it but decided long ago not to bother trying to fight it or keep it organized it is just who he is and it would be a loosing battle. I deal with it as long as he confines it to the basement and garage. There is no walking space in the garage. I keep threatening to put a sign at the end of the driveway saying garage and basement sale come in and make me a deal, lots of tools in big bold letters. DH said if I did he would put me by the end of the driveway with a sign around my neck that says take me I'm free. lol Too bad he doesn't understand that his junk would be long gone and I'd be rich long before someone would pick me up.

I absolutly love Disneyland. It was the first park I went to and will always have a special place in my heart. I love the miniature castle most.

:rotfl: I just had to laugh when I read this. My DH doesn't ever put anything up. His magazines are all over the house. When he uses his tools, he leaves them where he is working. I put some shelves right outside the door to the garage and I just drop them on it and then he gets mad that he can't find anything. Sometimes I tell him, "If you would put them up when you are done, there wouldn't be a problem", other times I just smile and walk away.:rolleyes1

Happy Valentine's Day!

Happy Valentine's Day everyone too!!! You all are just to fast for me!:worship:

I hope everyone has just such a wonderful day today!!

JanJan Congrates and we must see pictures when you get back! Mike and I have been talking about going, okay I have been talking about going to DL but getting Mike on board all the way is another story so I am trying another route with him which is to find historical things for him to see while out there LOL!!:lmao: :rotfl2:

Have a great time and enjoy!

Jm, I have never thought you cruel before but writing about your a/c being broke while the rest of us are freezing our posteriors off is almost as mean as eating in front of a starving person.

Ang, the truth is that each of my four basement rooms have names, "Household" for all the knick knacks and such that I tire of and put away for a later time, I shop there instead of at stores and swap things round every once in awhile. Repair room is where I keep all my paints, tools and such. There is a wall unit where I store things according to type, plumbing, electrical, etc. Kids Room is where I store the boxes of things I save for the grandkids and extra books for the CC kids. Then there is the Holiday Room which is packed plumb full of decorations and such. Until I got sick I swept and dusted, yes dusted, each corner of those areas twice a year. IMO, a smart shopper would pick YOU up and leave the mess for your husband to cope with. :cool1:

Pooh, I have faith in your ability to get Mike to agree, to most anything. :cheer2:

M&N, glad to see that you are overcoming your pain to type. How goes it while holding your wee one? Never been to DL and have never really been tempted. I am not so good at city driving and like buses, does DL have buses???

Diva K, just when I think you cannot top yourself you do. I just love the gifs you come up with. I snag a lot of them for my collection, not that I often take the time to use them.

Yardwork today and some other stuff. I managed to empty the laundry basket yesterday of stored stuff so I actually have something to carry my laundry in again. A step at a time.

Sorry, didn't mean to be cruel. But, when you are cold you can add some blankets and more clothes, when hot you can only strip off so much, especially when you have to have the windows open!:rotfl:

My one and only visit to DL was when I was @9yo...I am dying to go back as an adult for the reasons Minnie&Nana mentioned...
its really Walt's park :cloud9:

JM, that is the reason I live up north. Heat is what bothers me the most. Even I do not want to see myself in all my glory. I told my doctor, when I was explaining why I wanted to be kept covered up, that I did not want the rest of you to be overcome with jealousy.:lmao:

M&N, things we did when we were young are special. No matter how much improved something else might be it cannot compare to our childhood memories. Is why IASW continues to be the favorite of many, even with all the new technologies.

Diva K, I got a bedraggled stuffed animal for Valentine's Day. I will add it to my collection, that I have never had. Wonder if the pierced earrings I got one year will fit it as I have never had pierced ears. I think I prefer the years I get nothing. I no longer make the effort either. Taking the day off, a bit, is my present to myself. How did you do?

SG/Linda

Isn't it sad that they updated the one at DL with Disney characters. There are some rides that should never change.

JM, are you all cooled off now?;)

I agree that change for the sake of change is not necessarily a good thing. They can tinker with new attractions all they want but the classics should remain so. My mom used to say that just because you can do something does not necessarily mean you should. The pregnant man and the octuplet mom come to mind. :confused3

SG

Yes, all cooled off. Now, if I could just get over whatever this is I keep getting. Skipped my photography class yesterday because I didn't feel well. Probably could have made it though the class, but it was the hour long drive to get there and back I didn't look forward to. Guess it was good I didn't go because I ended up falling asleep for a couple of hours.

Oh, and don't even get me started on the pregnant man and the octuplet mother.

Hope everyone had a nice Valentines Day. I cooked DH's favorite dinner and then we ended up watching Cheaters and Sleepless in Seattle.
