Glad no one had used it. I've done it myself a couple of times.

DH's number keeps getting stolen. We have had to cancel his debit and credit card twice in the last two months. He had his identity stolen about 10 years ago so we keep track of our accounts.
I would like some parent opinions. I am so frustrated with the school and the teachers right now. Someone had mentioned last week that it would be best for Jacob to have a homework folder to bring home for me to keep track of all his homework, correspondence with the school etc. Well, he does, the problem is, he keeps forgetting to bring it home. I will normally email his teachers and get the assignments and they have been wonderful in letting him turn in his work late. Last nine weeks he failed basically everything (this is his first year in Florida schools, he had almost all A's and B's in Texas). I learned in English that the problem were some book projects he was to be doing in class. I now have all the info at home, so this nine weeks we got them done. So, yesterday I emailed his teacher to find out what dates they were due, so I could keep track of them, and also find out what his homework for the week was because Jacob kept telling me he hadn't noticed any vocabulary words on the board, which they started these a couple of weeks before Christmas break. The teacher emails me back that she had put it in Jacob's lunchbox on Monday. I didn't even realize it was in my truck, so I hadn't looked at it. So, I find his homework and we got it all done yesterday. But, turns out she changed the book project format and had placed a new form in with this homework on Monday and the first one was due on June 6th, the next one due the 20th. We were able to get one of those completed and I found out what books he could read for the next one because he isn't bringing home a library book either.
Last night he finally remembered to bring home the spiral notebook that he is to write down all of his homework in for the night. By "Science" he has written diorama. Is he supposed to make one in one night? I asked Jacob and he says he doesn't know what it is. So I emailed the science teacher and she emailed all the information stating it went home last week. Well, it didn't go home with him. So, I am getting ready to request the teachers email me a homework schedule each week.
I didn't have these problems in Texas. We would be notified of changes in the homework schedule, like when they started doing vocabulary words. Of course, they may be doing that and I just am not getting it. Oh, last week I get a progress report for Math and Science dated Dec 19th. Dec 19th was the last day of the grading period, why send it home. They don't send out mid-9 week reports, or I haven't received one. Texas, you got basically a report card every three weeks, at three weeks it was a progress report and at six weeks the report card. Also, this progress report only had a couple of math grades and nothing listed on the science. So I emailed the teacher and asked if he just didn't do the work and if the blanks were actually "0". Her response was she entering the grades at that moment, and believed he was passing. So, she was entering the grades to be turned in for report cards that we get tomorrow. How can you send home a progress report without all of the grades entered?
Ok, one more vent, so report cards go out tomorrow. So today they have an awards assembly. So basically you learn if your child has all A's and B's before the report comes out and who didn't. I don't understand doing this before report cards come out. They do make sure all students get something, Jacob got his perfect attendence. Which he won't get this nine weeks, so I am wondering what they will give him then.
So, now I thinking home schooling would be great for him, but I mentioned it to his pschiatrist last night and his concern is Jacob losing the social interaction he gets at school. Which, this has been my concern with home schooling. I have heard of some communities where home schoolers get together so I plan on researching that now. Oh, the psychiatrist did say the schools in Florida are horrible. The therapist that evaluated Jacob for occupation therapy made the same comment. I a lot of my frustration at homework time is like the diorama project. I don't get the information, he says he doesn't know what to do and I am stressing about him getting his work done, which I know nothing about.
I just wondered what someone outside my home would think. He has an IEP, but it is basically a temporary one since we moved from Texas. I spoke with one of the counselors today and she said it comes up in April and she was doing evaluations with him this past week.
I apologize for this being so long and any responses would be appreciative, even if you rip me a new one!
