SEPT 2009 code watch

I've stayed at Pop twice and been very happy both times! The buses worry me as you share !! My friend would kinda like Sports but DD wants to be by the pool and we want to go standard so I saw that at Mighty Ducks you could be by a pool and in standard . Are there any rooms at Sports like that !! Cuz I do like the idea of first bus stop. But even though we would be at Movies MD is close to ASMU bus stop and that at least is 2nd .

Hi Rose,
We stayed at the Baseball in sports, it was a long hike to eat and the bus Stop but it was down 1 flight of steps and into the pool. When we stayed at sports the bus stopped at all three resorts BUT the sports was always 1st on and 1st off. My back is horrable so the sitting down was important. I think the ALL- STARS are basically the same, the designs are identical. It shouldn't matter which one you stay at. Just trying to help, you know that some resorts are better than others but all are good. Its just my opinion I've stayed ay POFQ- POP- and ALL STAR SPORTS. My favorite was POFQ its only about 1000 rooms so you don't have all the hustle and rushing around. Its quite and peaceful at night, I love taking a long walk down by the river at night with my wife. Its a very laid back place to go. The only draw back is there is no big dining hall its just breakfast and lunch. But back to your point yes POP is the best value and any of the ALL-STARS will be great. Sorry got caught rambling its a bad habit of mine and I don't even type all that fast.

thanks :) I love how the dis makes you feel elite lol... oh by the way as of right now we are staying at CSR... the value seemed to small this year... but who knows if money gets too tight I am more than willing to downgrade to get to go;)

Hubby and I got back a couple of weeks ago and we're already talking about Sept 2009... Sometime in the first 2 weeks. :)

:dance3:

But for now I work :surfweb: and dream of another vacation.

We were at AsSp last week in Touchdown 7. We were at the far end of the football field and it was just down the stairs and up the (very short) walkway to the baseball pool, the smaller quiet pool. It was also just a walk down the length of the field to the food court and right across the walk to that is the main Surf's Up pool. You could also cut through Touchdown 10 to a sidewalk past the resort delivery area and get to the bus stop in a 2 minute walk. A bit quicker than walking around or through the gift shop. It's a standard section, but very close to everything.

We only shared a bus 4 times in the week. The bus to Downtown Disney was shared by all 3 resorts down and back. The bus to HS was just our resort one a.m. but the next time we went there it was 1 p.m. and we did stop at the other 2 resorts. The bus back from HS was shared with AsMu, AsMo had their own. The rest of the parks it was only for AsSp. One trip back from MK the AsSp line was so long we took the AsMu bus instead and it wasn't much farther from their stop, just across the parking lot and you were back to the baseball section near the pool. So I wouldn't let the fact that sometimes there is a shared bus worry you about the All Stars, because most of the time there is not and it's nice to have the option to get in the shortest line, grab a seat and just walk a little farther from one of the other resorts. I also noticed that a lot of the deluxes had shared bus stops and our worst experience with the buses was the 30 minutes we had to wait at Epcot for our bus back to AKL, after walking to the furthest stop. At AsSp our longest wait ever was 15 minutes and that was only because we had made it to the bus stop JUST as our park bus was pulling away.

I guess I am just A Popper at heart!! and when I go solo that's where I'll stay !! But you guys are giving me great input !! So there is a standars section at Sports that is close to a pool ( DD Happy) :) Sports ( Maria happy):) First stop (Rosie happy) Does any one have a link or map shoeing me details of Sports lay ouy so I can see where to request!! I also am in a fridge swap but I think you can stay at any Allstars as long as you return to where you oicked it up!! Thanx for all the help!! Lets have a meet !! Do I sound like a broken record !!:rotfl2:

I have a question about the 40% off at the Poly...is that a usual September deal, or is that a special that will probably just be happening this year, and not like to happen again? Or do they rotate which resort has the large discount?

Just wondering because fiance and I are going to be booking out honeymoon in the near future, and we like the Poly, but probably wouldn't be able to afford it without that discount.

Thanks =)

Did anyone else get the offer from Disney! My daughter did and for a family of 4( 2 adults, 1jr. & 1 child) $63 anight at a value plus park tickets and dining free !! It is for 4 nights /5 days !!There are select dates in late Sept thru Dec ! Is this something they do every year or just this year!!?????

What Disney does is send the 40% off room stay to select people and not a resort. You cannot use any other offer with it, thats why people who get it and travel in free dining months stay at a nicer resort, you have to make up the amount that you would get off with free dining. and at 40.00 per adult a day its hard to make that amount up at anything other than a deluxe. If you and your faince want a nice place try the POFQ its a small place and its really quite at night. Its really great taking strolls along the river at night. And its the smallest at only 1000 rooms.

That's new for 2008. I think they have not filled rooms, so therefore the special. $63/person, per night. It was a pretty reasonable deal, I think. That works out to around $150 total per day for tickets and dining four the 2 adult, 1 jr., 1 child combo.
No guarentee there will be a deal like that next year.
Plus, they didn't adverstise it until now.
Non-bounce-back Free dining, if offered, will probably come out in April.
Not as long to wait for a good deal! LOL

I really wish I could take advantage of this, but it came to DD and she has no vacation time left, not to mention Christmas is coming. 4 nights isn't enough when airfare is so high either !! But it definately is a DEAL!! I am going in May and am hoping for a Bounce back for Sept for the whole groupof us !! Time will tell!! I really think airline prices are going to hurt Disney !!

Anyone any plans as yet ?It will be fun when we all start planning and can see if we can meet!! I know we are planning to go to Spectro the first night (12th) or Fantasmic if there's no spectro !! DD's tradition is to start the vacation at PH her favorite she loves the decor !!!!
