We are planning to go back to Disney next Sept. This year we were there Sept 10-18, last year Sept 18-25. Last year the crowds were way less then this year. DO you think it was just by chance, or does a week really matter? If it does next year if I go Sept 20-30 he crowds should be less right?

Things like "free dining" can increase Sept. crowds. Also the weather is a huge factor that time of year, if a hurricane or tropical storm is in the florida area I find there aren't as many locals in the parks.

I was there last year for the first week of Sept, this year for the last week of Sept. I also found last year to be less crowded than this year. My own guess, word is spreading about free dining and more people planned trips for September this year than previous years.

We went the last week of September in 2006 and kept hearing people say it was less crowded the week before. So we decided when we go back we are moving it up to the 3rd week. After deciding that now this year I have been hearing people say how busy that week was. I don't think you can really predict what it will be like.

For years we arrived labor day weekend. It would be crowded (VERY) until labor day and the crowds would magically disappear. It was always wonderful and we miss going that time now that the kids are in school. We are year around school though so we get other soft times to go.

Thanks for the replys. Shortly after I posted this question my DH called and told me he has to go overseas with the Airforce!:scared1: He will be gone next Sept, so we are now thinking about going in April. Now the only thing is...we just took my DD 5 out of school in last month to go to Disney. If we go in April we would have to take her out again. I am not too sure if the school will go for that. Oh......I dont know:sad2: I was up all night long with this on my mind!

Re: taking your DD5 out of school...IMO, it doesn't matter nearly as much when they are that young!! I say DO IT!!

That is what I think too, but I am not to sure what the school would say for taking here out 2 times in one year.

If you want a whole bunch of opinions on that issue go to the thread Take the Kids out of school......It is hot over there:confused3
