So today is Tuesday, September 25th and it's our check-in to reality day.
Chapter 13 -- Leaving the World
No matter how much fun I've had at WDW, check-out day is just a sad day for me. I know some people get 'filled up with all the goodness' and others are "ready to go back to their own house" ... but I always feel like it's never enough. This was the longest trip ever to Disney for us at 11 days but I swear it seemed to go so fast.
Normally we take the check out day and just relax but I wanted to head back to the parks one more time. We were up by 8:15am and went to Boma for breakfast. This was wonderful -- I could drink their OJ all day long!
Originally I wanted to get back to AK to see the Nemo Musical show again at 11:25 but we only finished breakfast at 11am. So we went to Epcot instead since I didn't have any pictures of the front of Spaceship Earth yet. This was the first time to walk into epcot from the main entrance. We got spoiled staying at BCV and using the un-mobbed, quiet International Gateway entrance!
We then went through Innoventions East, rode Nemo and Friends one more time and went to Turtle Crush. This latter attraction was cute but a bit above my DD's level of concentration. Fortunately we were in the last row so we just let her play on the floor behind us.
Once again, I wanted to buy DD a stuffed animal of Nemo or Mickey, but she just wasn't into it. So I bought her a small plush magnet of Nemo we can put on our refrigerator.
DH had some fun trying to get this shot with the water in it.
Then we went to Mouse Gears -- love this store. I bought two DVDs that my DD just loves. One is a DVD of the actual characters going through MK and the other is for AK. They had Epcot and MGM, too but I'll save those for future gifts.
(We end up watching one or both of these DVDs every week! DD still says, "I ride that!" when she sees a ride we went on. It just fills my heart with goodness to hear that. She still tells people that she wants to go to Disney world. Woo Hoo!! I created another Disney monster!!!"
Of course we have to recreate another "traditional" photo shot from our first Disney trip with DD.

They were having so much fun playing in the stuffed animals. But then it was time to go, so we put all the animals back in their proper places and headed out.
Now, on the exit, this was the first time of the ENTIRE trip that my DH actually hurried and walked fast! He couldn't leave fast enough. I said something to him and he replied, "well, we have to get to the airport!"
We get gas and are at the airport by 2:30pm for a 4:20pm flight. We grab lunch and there are only 32 folks on the plane -- woo hoo!!
This time DD LOVES, LOVES the Disney book that I made for her, and she plays with it the entire trip. Just as the plane lands, she falls asleep. We wait until everyone leaves the plane -- she's still sleeping, so we carry her to the stroller, put her in and let her sleep. DH gets the car while I wait with the luggage and we are home.
Our 2 cats -- Butterscotch and Smokey -- are soooooo glad to see us.
And I get to relive our wonderful trip through this TR.
