Nice Mom, Nice!

Nice Mom, Nice!I am so excited! This will be the first cruise for both my 13 year old daughter and myself. But, does anybody know of any other single parents on this cruise? I would really like an "adult only" night, but don't want to do it alone.
BTW, Vancouver is my hometown, so if anybody has any questions I could probably help.
Not cruise related but how do you get a profile picture????![]()
Hi Janice and Rosie:
Would you like to meet up one night to have a drink and dance for a bit?
oh yes - a Dis Meet would be terrific!!!Code:So...has anyone set up a Dis meet yet?
I don't think so, I would love to do a DIS meet
My airfare is booked, my hotel in Vancouver booked....it's beginning to seem very real.![]()
Dianne & I are both parents sailing alone - she is a single mom and my DH won't sail so i'm a 'single' sailer LOL!!! We should set up an 'adult night'...maybe even do a group Palo event for those who are interested...???I am so excited! This will be the first cruise for both my 13 year old daughter and myself. I'm sure we would!
Sounds like a good plan to me.....
So for a DIS meet, how about 3:00 in the Promenade Louge on embarktion day? We all should be on the ship by then, and if we try to do later than that, people get busy with all the other activities. That will give us an hour before the mandatory lifeboat drill.
Will that work for everyone?

Janice,,, Stephanie and I would love to do a DIS meet but at 3:00pm is the Spa tour and we wanted to take our two friends to see it. They also have a drawing for a free spa service. Could we make it for the next day since 2pm might be too early or we could do it right after the lifeboat drill? Or even between the early and late dining? Just throwing out some options.

How do you know these things????
Can someone please tell me where to find more detail info for this cruise?? I mean if it weren't for the Disboards I wouldn't know about Pirate night, or semi formal night...
Don't go crazed, Rosie!! Some folks have been a few DCL jaunts and know EXACTLY what, where, and when things are. Plus, the first day Navigator will have this info (Spa tours, etc) and you'll receive that as you check in.
I say, just skip the lifeboat drill and have a drink!!!! (just kidding!!!!)
Have you booked with a TA or directly with Disney? They may not even have everything set for the various dinners and such as it still isn't even at final payment date yet. If you have booked with a TA, put that person in charge of finding this stuff out for you. If you've booked directly with DCL, you should be able to call up and speak to a reservationist and find out if there are dinner rotations set as of now.

LOL!!! this is my 5th cruise and i've always done the spa tour and been able to hit the 3 pm Dis meet (seems that they've always been at 3)...so didn't know there'd be a conflict either...but maybe we just hurried thru the spa tour too fastDon't go crazed, Rosie!!
