Sept 20,2011 Wonder Repositioning Cruise

My DH and I just booked this cruise. We are so excited!!!

This will be our third Disney cruise. If anyone would like to participate in a FE Gift exchange, please let me know. I would be happy to organize one.

Thanks,
Jennifer

Awesome! Is anyone else interested?

Last cruise I went on, most of the cruisers didn't join till a month before the cruise so hopefully we will get some more takers by then.

I was just browsing the last couple pages of our thread and so several people mention they would like to participate in the FE. Yeah!!! What I need from everyone who want to participate is your first names, room number, and whether you are adults or children.

For example for me and my husband,
Jennifer & Bob, room #6128, 2A

For anyone who is not familiar with the FE (Fish Extender) gift exchange, it is a gift exchange among fellow disboard fans. You hang a FE from the Fish clip that is outside your cabin door. Fellow disers then fill it with gifts throughout the cruise. You can make a handmade FE, buy one from ebay, or just hang a canvas bag from the clip.

You only have to give a gift once, either a gift for the whole cabin or a gift for each person, your choice. Most people do gifts per person but some gifters do one gift that encompasses the whole cabin. Most gifters make handmade items but some buy (like me because I am not crafty at all). You can deliver your gift whatever you day you chose but before the last day (and everyone packs) is the best. I usually deliver mine late the first night.

If you want ideas for gifts or just great picks, browse thru my first trip report. It is totally the thought that counts so don't be spending tons of money on the gifts. Most gifters spend a dollar or two per person and still manage to give an awesome gift.

Hi Jennifer - It is My Husband John and I (Heather) and we are in Room 2560.

Michael!!!

Jennifer!!!

Hi Guys!! I just booked this cruise for my daughter Tara and myself!

I enjoyed my first cruise so much that I rebooked and decided to surprise her. I originally booked another cruise out of Port Canaveral, but gave her the option and she picked this one.

I have to say I really like the idea of having a short flight!

Quick question: I prefer not having to look for a hotel in Vancouver and will instead fly in day of at 11:15 am. I don't want to have to hassle with hotels and added transfers. How far is the port from the airport?

You can take the sky train from the airport to the port fairly effortlessly, if you go to the vancouver airports website and look under transportation it should have links about the sky train options :) Hope that helps

JUST PAID THE DEPOSIT!

Yay! We are going on this cruise!

FE - Would love to participate in the FE exchange! 2A - Aaron, Crystal and 2C - Jacob(4) and Ella(1), don't have a room assignment yet

Looking forward to participating in the FE gift exchange. Have some fun ideas in mind.:yay: 2A Donna and Diane cabin 6047 .....husbands going golfing, wives going crusing...guess who's gonna have more fun. :woohoo:

Hi Everyone!
We are booked for this cruise too! It's our first time on a cruise and I'm so excited that its on the Wonder!

I have a question for those familiar with Vancouver-- any suggestions for hotels in the area? I've never been and I have no idea what the good areas are for hotels. We can't afford anything too expensive-- was hoping for under 200 but in reading all the posts I'm not sure that is possible.

I have so many questions since I have never been on a cruise before... but I won't bombard you all at once! =)

It's only my second cruise so I'll ask some questions for you! ;)

Is there a formal night on this cruise?
Is there a pirate night?
I can't seem to find a whole lot of detail for this cruise since it's one of a kind-
In fact I didn't find any excursions listed for Mexico. I don't think I'd want to go far, but I'd love to visit a beach...

Thanks to everyone...

I am also wondering about what shows we will have, any special dinner nights (pirate night, show dinner, etc) and if we will get a formal or semi-formal night.
I wonder when they will put up some excursion info for Ensanada too.

There is a lot to plan and I want to know it all now, lol.

We have our flights home booked now tonight, tomorrow I'm going to get our rooms booked at the Tropicanna or the Camelot Inn, then I can get our Trip Insurance set up after that, and then just the park tickets (and for 1 day at knotts berry farm too). I can't wait, 6 months is just too long, lol.

I am also curious about special dinners, etc.

I just spoke with my TA and she confirmed that the ship leaves at 4 PM out of Vancouver. Now I'm not too worried about taking the train in the morning with an 11:40 arrival. :)

We only booked an 11A, the cheapest for our group of 4 at the time :)

Then a SPH room would be a little more $. I've currently got a ressie for room #5524 that we're not going to be able to go with you all afterall. :sad2:
DH's job is putting a moratorium on any vacations past August & asking all employees to cancel their vacation ressies.

I thought if I find someone here on this thread who really wanted this room we could work out when I cancel my ressie so they can pick it up. I'll give it a little more time to see if anyone wants the room.

Hi All,
We took our first cruise last month to the MR and by day 2 hubby and I were totally hooked! We are in So Cal. so we'll fly up to Seattle to visit friends and then take Amtrak to Vancouver since both my hubby and son love trains.
We would like to participate in the FE. We did it on our first cruise and had 50 participants! (hopefully if we have that many this time we could break them into more manageable groups).
I've been to Vancouver and Victoria before and would love to see the Butchart Gardens this time.
Can't wait to cruise on the Wonder again.
Looking forward to meeting everyone.

Hi Susan!

Glad to have you and your family aboard :)
I also have a 4yr old boy, maybe they will get to play together in the clubs.
