I'm Korean and my DH is part Hispanic and Caucasian. So our kids are pretty blended. God stirred our kids up pretty good I think. Dzneprincess, yes, Grandmama's 75th party was like a wedding reception. I wasn't expecting any thing too elaborate, but once I heard about some of the plans for the party I was glad to know I wouldn't be over dressed.

I can't wait to go back to WDW around Christmas time.

We had our visit yesterday and of course Robyn didn't want to talk to the Dr.. We didn't get any pamplets or material. He wrote on the back of an evaluation sheet. We also received a sheet on seizures.

O.k., the neuro said Robyn has Benign Rolandic Epilespy. She'll continue to seize at night until she's about 20. We've been prescribed Tegretol which we've decided not to give her until her seizures increase. (Robyn has not seized since early April).

What I find weird about the whole visit is the nero said that the frequency of seizures will increase as she gets closer to puberty. Something about the hormonal balance being out of whack.

So, for now, I'm holding on to the scrips the dr. gave us yesterday. We aren't in need of any further testing. The Dr. said that he knew exactly what Robyn's brainwaves were doing from looking at the EEG.

In closing, I guess our appt. went well. I'm combing the WWW to find more info. A couple articles I've looked at don't address the increased number of seizures during puberty.

I'm viewing T's photo album right now too. Haven't gotten to the pics of the hispanic looking kids, but I DEFINITELY know what you mean about the grandness of those hispanic (read MEXICAN) gatherings!! Bet you all had a good 'ol time!

T: sorry to hear about Robin and the likelyhood that the seizures will increase, but like Amanda01 said, atleast you know the cause of them and how to keep it under control (with the meds).

Hey, good news !! DH bought me a NEW Explorer yesterday!! My lease was coming due this month & while I really wanted an Infiniti (to match his ), I wasn't gonna argue so long as I got a new vehicle (vs keeping the old one & paying it off). So, my new "baby" is the XLT model with the 3rd row seat in Silver Birch (old one was black) with the Graphite interior. Pretty nice, if I do say so myself!

We will be spending next weekend on South Padre Island. Anyone wanna come with?????? DH, my brother and nephew have entered a fishing tournament for the second year in a row and this year Krystina and I (oh, and Pokie, too) will be tagging along. Guess we'll just lounge on the beach while they fish or visit Schlitterbahn (did I spell that right?). I can't believe I've lived in TX all this time & never been. The one in New Braunfels TX is voted the # 1 water park in the nation (on the travel channel), but I don't know how good the one on South Padre is. It hasn't been opened but a couple of years & we still haven't been there. Guess I have to dig up my bathing suits that I haven't worn since our Mickey Boat trip. Hope they still fit !

Krystina'sMommy congradulations on the new car, but i'm afraid we'll need to see pictures! Were a very visual group!

Hope all is well with everyone else. I am currently broken. I have the biggest pain in my neck, and it's not DH! I think I pulled a muscle or something but I can't turn my head to the right without a lot of pain. Hopefully I can get into the chiropractor today. I swear I turned 30 and all of a sudden I have all these neck and back problems. Oh well! I'm a tough chick! Happy Friday everyone!

We had a wonderful time on the cruise. Dom was sick most of it. but she had fun. The weather was beautiful. They have replanted most of the Island, so it is green now instead of the brown it was. It was rainy on thurs while in port, but got out to sea and the sun was there all the time. We didnt get off the ship in Nassau. Watched a movie and let Dom play in the Mickey Pool. Had a wonderful time at Pirates night. The fireworks are beautiful. Cant wait to go again. We liked Ms Jacqui as cruise director much more than we did Kara.

We have been working like crazy people this last week. Rotavirus is hanging around much longer than usual this year. It should have run its course by now, but it hasnt. We are still getting kids in with it.

Tae hope Rpbin does well.

We are headed back to WDW in about 3 weeks for a short visit. Im a thinking Amanda is going to be there at the same time.

Ladypoo, what end of the ship were the fireworks? And what was the other cruise director like? Jackie is very up beat and super friendly hows the other one?

Taeja, I hope I didnt offend you about the hispanic looking kids comment. I just felt like I was looking at a photo album of one of my family members LOL And it shocked me, because your DH did not look hispanic either. Both of my parents are %100 hispanic, but I went and married a white dude! LOL So now I have coyote (half hispanic half white) kids!
Leonor, it is good to see you back and posting. I would love to see pictures that everyone has! I feel like we have become such good friends over this past few months...It is like our own personal BB in this thread!

Good morning everyone! Sucky day for me! I am home cleaning. DH had to work today. and the kdis are driving me nuts! My house is a wreck and I dont even know where to start!! EEEKKEE I havent seen mt laundry room floor in years, and so I am tackling that today! LOL I am thinking of joining flylady again. Maybe that can help me keep this house in order!

Hi all! I went garage saleing today and found some great bargains on Disney princess items for my DDs'. They were so thrilled! Can you believe I found that Dora Princess doll (the one that can change the hair length) for $2.00?! I found Disney Princess clothing for $1.00. I paid $2.00 for a nice warm D.Princess jacket for my youngst DD. I was so thrilled w/ the deals I got. I found better deals today than on Ebay minus shipping of course.

Our family was going to go to the Indy 500 race track today to watch the race for the pole, but we had a lot of rain last night and this morning. Eventually, after all my garage saleing this am, they cancelled all racing activities today.

We watched Disney's, "The Haunted House", with Eddie Murphy today. They did a great job with keeping the movie true to the ride.

Well, my kids are starting to go at each other. So, I gotta go and police them.

Wow, T., I'm jealous!!! Sounds like some great bargains were found in your neck of the woods! I don't really ever get to any garage sales around here because generally they don't have much to offer. I pretty much stick to ebay ( but generally only shop from those who only charge actual shipping).

Hi everyone I hope all is well! DId you guys read that there was a death at Castaway Cay this morning? Supposedly it was a male DISer and it was on Serenity Bay. Very sad for the feloows family, but what a peaceful place to pass away!
