You won't believe what's been happening today in our home. Remember I was awake at 4:00am? Well, I never went back to sleep. My DH and I were watching t.v. and talking while our oldest DD slept in between us after being scared of a dream (night terrors). Well, at about 5:am she just started shaking. I thought it was from another night terror and her right side of her body continued to shake. I quickly turned on the lights and saw that her eyes were open. She was breathing through the seizure thank God! She was non responsive so I just dialed 911, b/c I couldn't think of our pediatricians #. Well, we got some one to watch our other kids and DH rode w/ Robyn to the hosp. ER while I drove ahead of the ambulance to the hosp.. The seizure just happened w/ no warning signs. No fever, sickness before bed, etc. They did a cat scan on her and it appeared there was nothing noticeable. We'll find out the cat scan results tomorrow. So, we were at the ER for several hours for observations and test.
And then....Remember the furniture I told you about was coming? Well, it did. We had about a 45 min. break at home before the furniture truck arrived. I was policing the guys of where to put the stuff. Since I was so tired, I really didn't care where they put it, but I did my best to sort out what I was thinking during the wee hours of the a.m. before R's seizure.
And then....Shortly after that, a friend of ours and their kids came to play so that I could take DH to his knee dr. appt. Our ride to the dr. is about 35min. and I tell you w/ the warm sun on me and DH asleep in the passenger seat it was awfully temping to close my eyes for just a little bit (while driving about 70 mph of course).
This day has been crazy. My neighbor behind me said that we've experienced a lot of first w/in the last five days (counting Kimi getting lost from me) and she's right. There's definately some firsts I don't want to experience again.
Well, I really need to get to bed. Hopefully, we'll have a normal day tomorrow w/ no surprises.
Good night.
