Sept 19th,2004 revisited.....

Taeja, my kids love it!
Our instructor suggests a minumum of 3 times a week. She has classes all week long and we get there when it is most convenient for us. I dont think the cost for the classes is that bad at all. I pay $120 a month for all 3 of my kids. Like I said, if I wanted to take them to class every day of the week it would still be $120. What gets expensive is the testing and equipment. I only paid $100 for all 3 to join, that included the 1st months classes as well as all their uniforms. Nothing else was needed, and she gave them all a free class to make sure they would like it. They love love love it. THey did not need any equipment until they got to green belt, then they needed sparring equipment which was ugly. It was a little less than $200 each BUT my youngest DS Max did not need it, because he is a Tiger Cub. Ages 6 and under are tiger cubs, which I think your kids would fall under that right? We are training under ITA which stand for International TaeKwonDo Assoc. ( I think?) From what I understand there are a few different ones. I really like that my kids study the 7 tenets, hmm lets see if I can remember

Honor, courtesy, community, self control, perserverance, integrity and courage (?) I think LOL I am so bad. My older 2 are now senior green belts and have only been doing it since October. My DS Mas 5 is a Tiger Cub with a blue stripe. My 2 oldest say they want to get to their black belts, so we shall see.

Oh I almost forget, the monthly fee is not the bad ( considering that is for 3 kids) but what kinda irritates me is that they test every 8 weeks and it is $50 a kid to test. Then now at the end of APril they are having their very 1st tournament, and it was $50 a kid to enter that.......but they wanted to try it out so we will see again...LOL HTH call up a local dojo and see if they would offer you a class for free..

Wow, that sounds like fun! The Karate Kid was on last night and our oldest was glued watching 'wax on' 'wax off'. Robyn thought it was great. Then, when the movie was over, she was walking around the house doing karate moves. :cool1: Hi ya! :cool1: Hi ya! :rotfl:

Well, I found the card reader so I hope to post Kimi's flying hair later tonight. Take care all!

after we started TKD i rented the karate kid for my kids!they loved it! i bought the whole series for them!lol

Well, I resized the pic in Photobucket, but it didn't work. Sorry all, but you get the point (or the many points as you can see by Kimi's hair.)

I just wanted to share with you a pic taken at Sea World, in San Diego,CAlif. The rain WAS supposed to go away. What did this resourseful mom do? I found some large trash bags and made my own ponchos. So, if you ever get desperate and don't want to spend $$$$$$$$$ for ponchos your going to use once, make your own. It rained so much that our rented stoller was getting soaked so I made my own slip covers for it too. I was having a crazy and frugal crative moment. And then here's a rainbow we saw while viewing the SHAMU show.

Good morning ladies! Hope everyone is having a great week so far. Absolutly nothing to report here. Life is boring, but good. :earboy2:

GOOOD MORNING EVERYBOOODDDYYYY! (Can you hear Grover?) Meant to tell you all that I went to a chiropractor yesterday and found out how broken I am. One hip is higher than the other. I can't stand still w/ one foot in front of the other w/ my eyes closed. My balance is wobbly. I've got pinched nerves up and down my back. Ugh! I go back today for my x-ray results and some more torture...I mean therapy. Well, DD is hungry.I hope every one has a good day. Post ya later!:wave2:

OMG, The Karate Kid!!! I've never been into martial arts, but I LOVE that movie!!! That and Grease (guess that kinda dates me, huh?) are my favorites!! DH thinks I'm crazy to love such cheesy movies, but, he loves :love2: me anyway!

Seems like forever since I've posted. Not much going on around here. I had to take Pokie to the vet yesterday because I really thought she had a problem with food allergies (as some Bostons are prone to), but it turns out she has a case of D-Mange!! :sad2: My poor puppy!!!! I had noticed that she had been scratching alot and chewing on her paws (signs of allergies) but I really got concerned when I noticed that she was starting to develop spots where her hair was thinning out. Well, I took her in, they did a skin scrape & found the little mites. I was horrified. I was like "not MY dog". Well, it's not the BAD kind and it's actually pretty common in puppies. They said it can be an inherited trait and/or she just picked up the little mites while going outside to do her business. Older dogs can easily fight it off, but since puppies immune systems are not as strong (especially after receiving vaccinations) they usually require treatment. They gave her a shot and I also have to apply some medication once a week. Hopefully it won't be too soon before her thinning spots show some regrowth. Well, we love  her anyway!

So anyway, this is the week we will be driving up to Ft Worth for Nascar race weekend. Krystina & I passed on actually going to the race (well, I guess I passed it up because I didn't want to take her with me and have her around all of the crazy  , smoking, drinking/drunk :drinking1 race fans) so we will just be visiting with friends. DH, my 3 brothers and 2 nephews will actually be at the races. Pokie will be staying with the family that we got her from, so she will get to see her mommy & daddy all weekend long! Hope she does ok.

Guess that's it for now. Take care everyone! :wave2:

Well I just don't know what is wrong with me. I was sitting here watching Perfect proposal and I was crying like a baby. I know I am not pregnant because my aunt "Flo" just left, but I was a wreck. I was so happy no one was around to witness this break down. By the way the proposal was on the Magic. I am in desprate need of a break! School is draining me. So if I don't post too much over the next 9 weeks it's because my mind has been turned into mush thanks to English lit, German, Collage Algebra, Career and life studies, and Philosphy. Calgon take me away!

Amanda were you on any type of hormone birth control (pills, depo etc etc ) maybe if you were and stopped taking it, that you body is going into overdrive? That could explain some of the moodiness?

Throwing in a life preserver to keep us from going under (to the 2nd page)!!!!! Can't let that happen! :sad2:

Amanda01: I'm with Dzneprincess: on the birth control thing. It can make you  ! Currently on ortho-evra (patch), but switching to Seasonale (only 4 periods a year~~~~~~~~~~Yeah!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!) :cheer2: :cool1: Also, when my thyroid is out of whack, I tend to be a little  too! Oh well, that's life, I guess. Take care everyone and have a good day!

:scared1: Second page! Oh, the horror of it all! :scared1:

Robyn's EEG was earlier this morning. She's taken a bath and I hope I got all the goop off her scalp. She fussed more when I was rinsing her hair than getting ready for the EEG test. Robyn layed real still the whole time and even napped. She got really mad at me on the way to the hospital b/c I wouldn't let her go to sleep in the car. I did end up poking at her while trying to drive. I tried every thing to get her to talk to me, but nothing worked. We won't have the EEG results for several days and her visit w/ the neurologist isn't 'til May 9th.

Well, I gotta go, I'm really tired so I'm going to try and nap. :ssst:

I thought I was sleeping under the Tuscan sun until I started to wake up. I realized I fell asleep in my hubby's comfy leather chair and 1/2, feeling the warm sun, then I heard Joe from Blue's Clues soft shoeing and singing about something. I quickly realized I was not in Italy.

Hope you all had a great day!

Still it's a nice thought to think that you had woken up in Italy.
