Krystina'sMommy boston terriers are great dogs. We have a friend that has one and it has to be one of the most gental dogs I have ever seen. Dh and I want one as soon as we have a home with a good yard. I would highly recommend getting one.

Leonor, get better soon! My OB thought I had a thyroid problem when I was pregnant w/ my thrid kid. It turned out to be a temporary problem.

Dzne , sorry to hear about DH aunt. It doesn't make you evil, just human. Personally, I probably would've played the "no babysitter" card.

TaeJa: Sorry to hear about your Grandma, but glad that you'll be able to spend some time with her. I feel for your MIL. I've got ANOTHER sinus infection, too. Yes, it was just last month that I had one!! Last year I had back to back to back to back to back sinus infections in Feb & March. Looks like this year is a repeat. I had an MRI a couple of weeks ago because my dr wanted to see why I wasn't responding to my thyroid meds like I should be. Well, there is nothing "unusual" going on with my thyroid, but I did find out I have a deviated septum. Guess that's one of the reasons I'm prone to sinus infections too. Anyone else here have a thyroid problem?

Well, gonna take some sinus meds now & hope I can get my hands on some antibiotics tomorrow!! Gonna try to get some rest.

Oh, before I forget...............does anyone own (or know someone who owns) a Boston Terrier? We are thinking about getting one for Krystina. We are supposed to go look at one tomorrow morning. They only have a male left, but I really want a female. We'll see.

You know for whom I speak of! Well here we are day two spring break. And so far I have watched 5 movies, made two meat loafs, gone grocery shopping and watched too much tv. I really need a hobby! Too bad I don't have any e-mails to answer. (Hint hint Amanda!) Hope everyone is having a good week so far.

Just wanted to announce the arrival of our newest family member! We are proud parents of a bouncing baby girl Boston Terrier!!

We brought her home yesterday. She is 6 1/2 weeks & weighs 5.2lbs. Her official AKC registered name is Krystina's Princess Pocahontas but we just call her Pocahontas or Pokie for short. The lady that we bought her from started calling her Pocahontas because of the feather-like white marking on her head. I liked the name (as did Krystina) so we just jazzed it up a little. I tell you, though, DH & I didn't get much sleep last night. We are trying to crate train her and didn't like being in that crate last night! She cried but we stuck to it. I did get up 3 times to take her out & she went potty each time. The original owner had started training her to go outside, so she's almost house/potty trained. She's such a cutie!! She just stole our hearts!

Oh, a puppy! Our thread family has another four legged member! Yipee! MY DH was lurking on our board and when he told me some one got a puppy I started interrigating him about it. Leonor, Pokie is so cute! Congratulations Krystina and Daddy! Have fun! Keep us posted with photos as puppy's grow up so fast (like kids).

Every one's napping and I'm all by myself! Its tough work being on vacation! Well, I have laundry waiting for me.

Taeja, how is that DH of yours doing????

DH is doing well. B/C of the plane travel and change of climate his knee swelled up early this week. The kyro cuff has really helped. The cuff is a water based knee wrap. DH is doing well getting around, but has a difficult time getting out of the SUV. We got a Chevy Tahoe and getting exiting on to a sloped street isn't very easy if you can't put any pressure on the bum leg. So, not only do I worry about the major things, but the minor things too when he's crutching around.

We saw my Grandma on Tues.. It's nice talking to someone who's coharent. She recognized all of us and we had a great time eating pizza together for dinner. I've never seen Grandma eat pizza before and I just sat there staring at her like a kid b/c it was so new to me.

So. Calif. is getting more rain. I was hoping for sunny skies this whole trip, but the times we want to go out its supposed to rain. Fortunately, all the greenery is lush. By the time Summer comes all the greenery will turn brown and the fires will start. I was just a young teen when I last remember the hills being so pretty.

I'm doing all the driving in the SUV. Little 5' 0" me is driving the boat. The kids are so used to me talking to them in the van. Now, I'm telling the kids to be quiet and talk to their dad b/c #1 I'm not used to the SUV and #2 I have to drive in L.A. traffic again.

Well, I hope all is well on your side of the computer all 9/19 ers. Sorry to leave a diary, but asking me one question can lead to mini drama.

Forgive me for any errors, I'm typing w/o my glasses on.

Just a quick HI! I had a wonderful day off today... allllll to myself (kiddos at day care... DH at work!!!) It was lovely! I also have tomorrow off.... a 4 day weekend for me! DH & I went to dinner and to see our friend's band play! We rarely go out! So that was a treat too!

A Happy Easter to all if you are out and about for the weekend!

T - Glad to hear your DH is doing ok! How funny about your grandmother eating pizza! LOL

L- I expect to see MORE puppy pictures!! TOOOO SWEET!

Hope all is well with everyone else! I am going to take my stuffy nose and head to bed! (Even though I've been off all day, and had a great day, I'm pretty sick with sinuses, allergies or a cold... UGH!)

mom2sean_n_alex Happy to hear that you are having such a relaxing few sayd just for you. I am not a mother yet but I firmly believe that all mothers should get one day off a week. And since we know that won't happen mothers should get at least one day off a year.

taeja I was happy to read that you were able to spend some time with your grandmother. Before my grandmother died we spent a week together, just her and I. It was great. Hope your DH's knee is better after the trip. Say what part of Cali are you in?
