does any one know how to make the mickey ear circles above the letter "o"? I got tagged by a webmaster re: my siggy and so I've had to make changes. Any suggestions of where I can find out how to make the little circles?

Hi guys...
Bad day here. I just picked up my kids, and less than 1/2 mile from my house I got in an accident. I was stopped at a busy intersection, waiting to make a left turn at a red light. My light turned green and as I eased out, it was too late. We had already collided. He was headed straight on that road (IE if I were turning west, he was headed east).All I can figure is he tried to beat the yellow? I am so mad at myself because I just can't believe that I had an accident. Thank God no one was hurt! I had all 4 kids with me. We all had our seat belts on. I drive an Expedition. The front grill is ruined. He drove a Plymouth Neon...the passenger side of his car is scraped up and down and dented at the point of impact. I fee lreally guilty, because once I realized that we had hit, the first thing I did was angrily point to my green light. I didnt even think about the fact that he may have had a passenger ( he did not THank God) I think I was just still so stunned that I had actually just gotten into an accident. I have been driving for 14 years with no accidents...THe police took our statements. I told the officer just what I told yall. The other guy is claiming he had the green light also, he said he saw me coming out and decided all he could do was gun it? Then, when the officer asked him for his insurance he said he just applied for it, and he didnt have a card?? Oh man....oh man I am still shaking. I just can not believe this has just happened. I do not even know what happens next. I tried to call my insurance agent ( I have had State Farm for 9 years now) but they are already closed for the day. I left a message with their machine....I dont know what to do next..the police officer said since we both are claiming the green that it will be up to the insurance company....how will it be determined who is at fault?

Dzne , I am glad that you and your family are ok. As for the accident, If you were here, it would depend on several factors. It's your responsibility at an intersection when turning to make sure that the intersection is clear before you edge out. Thats to avoid accidents if the other guy ran the yellow. Your supposed to stay behind the line until the intersection is clear. If your light was totally green, then he ran the red light and he is at fault. It would depend on the size of the intersection and the amount of the traffic. I hope that helps. I'm just glad that your all ok. Its good that you drive and SUV.

write down every thing. Write down the time of day. If you were at a shopping center, were you at a busy intersection, how many other cars were around you. Dig in your brain for every piece of information related to, before, and after the accident. Do you remember him plowing into you or vise versa? Which direction was the sun? How much sunlight was in your/his eyes? Since you had the kids in the SUV do you remember the kids saying any thing like 'look out' before impact? If the guy said he had to 'gun it', why didn't he hit on the brakes instead? Esp. if he was just coming out of the intersection, I don't think he'd have time to 'gun it'. Are there tire marks on the street? Can you go back and see if there's tire marks on the street? If so, I'd take pictures of the markings. Take pictures of your vehicle as well esp. at the point of impact. Just some quick thoughts to jog your memory.

I am very glad the kids and you are o.k., I'm glad your vehicle didn't flip like mine did and had the glass shatter every where. Make sure you check on your kids for whiplash or any pain. If you go to the Dr. or ER make sure you keep your receipts for your insurance company.

Try and take it easy my friend. Keep a folder of information regarding the accident. I know its no fun, but keep replaying the accident in your mind to grasp every piece of information.

sounds very familiar. I was at a complete stop before making a right turn several years ago. The north bound car was making a left and the south bound just crossed the intersection when the northbound car decided to turn left. The big black truck that hit me really didn't have any where to go. So, I, at a stand still got hit on the passenger side of my van (the hitter, if you will made a quick decision to avoid my driver door) and the van flipped on its side. I was prego with Kimi at the time. After that accident, I knew we were having a girl b/c I got in a minor accident w/ Robyn and no accident while prego w/ Cameron. Sorry for sidetracking.

My point of sharing all this, the guy who hit me coming southbound was at fault for hitting me and the car heading northbound was at fault for making the left turn at the last minute. Having an unpleasant flashback of when the guy who hit me offered me his cell phone. He handed it to me through the broken middle window of the van. I've got shivers- blech!

Just document every thing you can as I stated above. Get some rest. Are the kids doing o.k.? Are you better? Are you going to stay home so you can make sure you get in touch w/ your insurnace rep.? I'm sure your boss would let you come in late or take a day off (w/or w/o using vacation time).

OMG! Thanks goodness you all are alright! Don't worry too much about the car it will be fixed. Sound to me that you were in the right and that this guy is claiming he had a green light to cover his a**. Can you still drive your car or is the damage too bad? Either way i'm happy to hear that you and the kids are ok! I hope today is better. I know it may be too soon but let us know when we can call you "Mario Andredi" !

Thanks for asking guys. I really appreciate it. SO far, so good. No one is complaining of being hurt. I am still waiting to hear back from his insurance company. The accident report was not available until today. A guy that I work with used to be a traffic officer, he told me yesterday that usually druver one on the report is who is at fault, and driver 2 was the vistim. I am listed as driver 2, (YEAH) BUT there is no indication of who is at fault (bummer) .
